Aang almost said that maybe he was Boreas's son,
but that was much too close to being an airbender, and, so, for
Aang, he kept unusually silent during this conversation.

"So, you're Hermione, then?" Aang asked, giving
her his typical friendly smile. "I'm Aang," he said, proffering
his hand to her.

Hermione took the hand carefully, somewhat surprised
at Fakir's sudden friend. She gasped slightly. The second she
touched him, she felt a shock, a tremor run from her hand and
into her arm and body. From the widening of his warm grey eyes,
she could tell he felt it too. The let go of each other's hands
unaturally quickly. Hermione wondered if it had something to do
with her magic. She did not know that Aang was wondering the
same thing about his airbending. Hermione tried to cover it up,
and decided to ask Fakir what she had been thinking when Aang
had introduced himself. "Fakir, you told him about me?" she
asked, slightly curious and suspicious. "I didn't know you were
one to make friends so quickly and easily. Or have you changed
since primary school?" she asked, slightly teasing, but also
curious about the answer herself.

Aang frowned slightly. "Oh, come on, I wasn't
pouting," he said slightly playfully, trying to hide his grin
behind a fake frown, but failing rather miserably.

"Anyway," Fakir continued. "I'm bored, and I know that you
rarely leave the library, so I thought it would be a good idea
to ask you to spar with me?"

Hermione shrugged. "I suppose I could leave my
studies for a while. I need to practice fighting too," She
sighed silently, inwardly at the thought that she couldn't us
magic.
