Aang shook his head at the surly dark guy. "I
don't know her," and then more softly, "I don't really know
anyone..." he said somewhat sadly. The sullen green eyes
softened slightly at the quiet comment, even as Aang turned to
go...

Aang followed him curiously. The way the guy
acted, he seemed rather lonely, too. Just... he had a rough-guy
wall up. Aang knew that all too well, having met Zuko.

follow. He seemed rather amused, which annoyed Fakir greatly.

The word "Airbender" leaped into Aang's mind.
"I--I'm, uh, Aang," he said, stuttering, as he tried to squash
the thought of airbending. He didn't want to airbend from
nervousness and emotions. He really didn't need that little
detail coming out on him.
The guy smirked. "You're sure of that, are you?"

"Yeah, I'm sure," Aang said, being a bit more
firm as he followed him. There were minutes of silence before
Aang remembered the socialable thing to do. Keeping secrets
certainly distracted him, as well as being alone for too long.
He wasn't usually this bad with people. "What's your name?" he
asked. He felt nervous, but quietly admonished himself for being
silly. However, he did subconsciously and surreptiously pull his
hands inside his sleeves, hiding the arrow tattoos, thought
there wasn't much he could do about the one on his forehead. He
wasn't used to having hair, either, and resisted the urge to
scratch his head.

"Sorry," Aang said apologetically, silently
cursing himself for not paying a bit more attention. He was only
thankful that this guy didn't know him well enough to know he
was acting strange. Or stranger than usual. Aang smiled brightly
at him. "Have you been here for a while?" Aang asked innocently.
