"To me?" Linked looked up at him incredulously. "I seriosly
doubt that." Ed looked down at what Link was doodling and gave a
sly smile.
"So, it's the pixie you are in to, is it?"
Link blushed, then smiled. "Ya, you got me. She's an adorable
little thing. I just love the way she flits around and...well,
when she talks, it's almost like she's ringing a bell. And yet I
can understand every word she says..."

Link laughed lightheartedly. "Maybe that's why my ears are all
pointy." he paused, then continued, "Although, Beya seems to
understand her too. Wonder what that means? Maybe she just
doesn't like you," he jabbed playfully. "After all, the little
pixie does swoon when she sees these big muscles of mine..." he
flexed his scrawny arms in a mock-macho way. "What do you
think?" he asked jokingly.

"I think you've got an ego the size of a thousand year old pine
tree when it comes to that pixie, and only beings with magic can
hear fairies, which you would know if you paid attention in
class, so it's only reasonable that I can't understand her. It
also means that the new girl has magic, which begs the question,
why is she on the warrior's track?" he muddled.

Link laughed. "You know I'm only kidding. I like her, but I
think the new girl likes you. Oh! and if she's magic..." Link
peered at him from the corner of his eyes, then lifted his hands
in the air and waved them around with his eyes wide, "Maybe she
has you UNDER HER SPELL...."

Link rolled his eyes. Couldn't this guy take a joke? Oh well.
"Yep, I guess you're spell-free. Me, on the other hand...I'll
bet that little pixie slipped me something." He winked at Ed and
put away his drawing. "Clothes are done." He and his dorm mate
grabbed their freshly clean, sewn up tunics and headed back to
the room.

Link and Edmund returned to their dorm, and fell exausted to the
beds. Link looked over to his friend. "At least give it a
chance." Edmund looked at him, confused. Link decided to
clarify. "At least SEE if you and this girl may be compatible.
She may have feelings for you, and if you shoot her down before
she gets a chance to get to know you, you'll hurt her pretty
bad. Trust me."
