Padme walked into the garden, calling for Belle. When she could
not find her daughter, she sighed and walked back inside. "That
girl is going to have to learn to take responsibility," she
muttered under her breath.
Meanwhile, Tinkerbell landed near Belle. Good morning princess!
the little fairy chirped. here is some interesting news from
your favorite little fairy... she singsonged. Belle listened
intently as Tink described the perfect man. She laughed. "What
stories have you been reading, Tink? That boy sounds perfect."
Tink giggled, obviously excited. It's no story! He's real!
Link and Edmund had a difficult time explaining to the
headmaster why they had skipped their first day. "Please
understand," Link begged, "we were told by a fairy that a couple
had gotten caught under the clouds and couldn't get ou-"
"I'be had enough of this!" Shouted the headmaster, boiling.
"I'll let you two off with a warning this time, because you" he
pointed to Ed "are new and it is the beginning of the school
year. But I DON'T want this to happen AGAIN. Do you understand?"
The boys nodded, then got out of the office as fast as they
could.

Belle could feel her hope rising. Finally, a man that could
stand up to her ideals, one that could stand side by side with
her. "What's his name?" she asked.
Edmund. He's a new knight. The pixie smiled widely, glad that
the princess had taken an interest.
Belle beamed. "I have to go talk to Mother," she said and dashed
off.

Edmund and Link walked quickly back to their dorm room. "Well...
That was fun."

Padme was sitting in the living room area of the castle, sipping
lightly on tea. She needed the camomile to calm her down...
Belle wasn't exactly taking an interest in her duties, and her
mother feared she would never be able to retire her own crown.
Just then, Bell walked in! Padme stood, surprised, and invited
her daughter to join her.
Link laughed. "Fun? I guess." He couldn't stop smiling. They not
only had an awesome adventure below the clouds, but they didn't
get punished for it! This day was turning out to be lucky. He
sat at his desk and began working on something Edmund couldn't
see- the poor boy was too drained from pulling an all-nighter
and then the crazy adventure. "You should get some sleep,"
advised Link, "I've got night duty. :)

Dean ran inside to Tiana's room and there she was reading and
was shocked that someone just barged into her room. He hugged
her from relief that she isn't the girl that has gone missing.
He thought to himself 'if she isn't the one that's
missing....then who is?'

"Mother, I want to join the academy," Belle announced.
"The academy?" the queen replied, incredulous. "Whatever for?"
"One of the fairies. She told me of a boy that attends, and I
want to get to know him, to see if he's right. The only problem
is that he knows what I look like. I'd need to change my
appearence with a spell."

Edmund wasted no time crashing, and falling in to wonderful
sleep. Why the hell was he dancing?

Padme stood, shocked. Her daughter- the PRINCESS - wanted to
dress up and join the academy to check up on a....boy. the last
thought made her smile. "okay," she replied, "but I want a full
report on this boy and his behavior." she winked. Belle smiled,
happy that she and her mother were finally seeing eye to eye.
"And I want that fairy with you, too. You know, for protection."
Tink, who had been eavesdropping, flitted in and bowed in front
of the Queen. I'll do my best! she chimed.
Link sat outside the front gate, keeping guard. It was still
dark out, and his shift wouldn't be over for a while. He looked
around to make sure the place was safe, then got out a pad of
paper and a pencial and began sketching. He couldn't get that
fairy out of his mind. Before he knew it, she was on the paper,
staring up at him through eyes of pencil lead. He smiled. It was
his best work in a while, even if it was just a sketch.

The next morning, Edmund went to class. He was still slightly
tired, but it was nothing that he couldn't fight off. Still, he
nearly ended up on his back when he entered the classroom and
saw Link talking to the fairy from yesterday. He didn't seem the
least bit tired at all, and that baffled Edmund. Hadn't he
stayed up all night?
The pixie, on the otherhand, was hovering above a piece of
paper, admiring the drawing on it.
Edmund clapped his hand on the older boy's shoulder. "Why are
you here? Aren't you exhausted?" he asked, though he didn't get
an answer. Before he could, the teacher walked in, accompanied
by a young woman with short, black hair caught in a ponytail,
and a confident stride. She was admirable, he decided, though
she held no candle to the beauty of the princess.
He shook his head to remove the thought.

Link hid the paper fast as Ed approached, then tried to answer
his question when a young girl walked in. A new student? He
hadn't seen her around lately. Tinkerbell, however, seemed to
gravitate toward her, keeping watch over her it seemed. Perhaps
she was a friend of Tink's..? Well, any friend of Tinkerbell is
a friend of mine, he thought, and he grabbed Ed's arm and they
made their way to the new girl.

Edmund didn't like being touched, let alone dragged along. It
wasn't anything against his new friend, but it did make him feel
more awkward than the situation all ready demanded. Luckily,
when they reached the girl, she had the pixie whispering in her
ear, so she didn't notice them. Which gave Link plenty of time
to let go. Edmund, however, couldn't help but notice her eyes
land first on him, then his blond companion.
"Hello," she said, smiling. "I'm Beya. Nice to meet you."

Link gave a short bow. "I'm Link. Are you new around here?" he
glanced at Tink, who had a mischievous look on her face.
