Nevermore Chapters 1-5

Edmund Pevesie had no intention of being a knight, at least, not
at first. Unfortunately for him, parents are hard to refuse. He
sighed and held his weapon up against his opponent.

Tinkerbell flew around the arena, observing the new kid who was
fighting below- Link's new dorm mate. The boy wasn't exactly
knight material, but he looked like a good kid. Someone Link
could get along with. Tinkerbell flew lower to get a closer look
and smiled.

The strikes grew bolder and Ed's arms turned to jelly. The boy
knew that his opponent could see the fatigue plain on his face,
so he changed tactics. Instead of trying to get the upper hand,
he let the blond presume that he was winning, then he would
strike. Like a cobra, he thought. Unfortunately, his opponent
knew exactly what he was doing, and left no room for Ed to move,
so the raven headed boy ended up on his back, sword at his
throat.
"I yield," he said.
The sword retreated and a hand took his place.

Link held out his hand for the new kid, and helped him up. "The
thing that gave you away was the twinkle of determination in
your eyes. I knew at that moment that you weren't going to give
up so easily." He gave a warm smile to the young boy. "You'll
learn a lot here, so don't worry- no one is perfect on their
first try."
Tinkerbell hovered above with a smile on her face. She really
liked Link, and if he was friends with this boy, then she would
be too.

Ed shrugged. "It's worked before. Then again, street thugs
aren't trained to read eyes, so, stupid move on my part."

"I'm Link." The blond haired boy smiled. "Looks like we'll be
dorm mates in the Knight Academy. What's your name?"

"Edmund," he replied, returning the smile. Edmund thought that
this boy seemed nice enough, and it would make being here better
if he had a friend. "It's nice to meet you."

Well Edmund, ready to check out the dorm? The two boys made
their way into the Academy, Tinkerbell following closely behind.
This is going to be interesting... She thought. Both boys were
giving off similar colored auras, which meant....well, she
didn't know what it meant. She thought that she had better talk
to the headmaster about it. She made her way to the main office
while the two started to get to know each other.
(did you see my post in the "choosing characters" topic? I don't
want Peter as a character, I just had "from peter pan" in my
message to verify where tink was from.)

Tiana was just leaving her new job at the Academy's cafeteria
"Bye Sheila! I'll see you tomorrow for the morning shift!" She
turned the corner and ran straight into a boy who was probably
about 16 or so. He was clearly a knight she could tell by his
tunic. "I'm so sorry!" she apologized, "I guess I didn't really
see where I was going..."

Link soon recovered from the shock. "Don't worry about it!" he
smiled.
Just at that moment, Tink was returning from the office. It's
too bad the headmaster isn't here... she was thinking, when she
saw a woman knock into Link. She stopped in shock and turned a
deep red. That woman had better not be flirting with him! She
was about to swoop down and pull at the woman's hair if she got
any closer, but as they waved and moved on, she noticed that
Link didn't look back. Her normal glow returned, and she gave a
sigh of relief, then continued to follow the boys.
