Zelda's shoulders fell, she kept making a fool of herself on the
whole subject, "this is a lot to take in....let's just give her
a name so we can at least not get us mixed up. So she does know
about all of this correct?"

arguing over the little girl. "Looks like we didn't miss much."

This was getting nowhere and Edmund was not a patient fellow. He
took a knife from a hidden sheath and threw it at the wall above
the fireplace, which was conviently placed in just the right
place for it to pass by everybody's eyes. A quiet like none
other descended on the room. "That's enough," Edmund said with
unnatural calm and confidence. Almost king-like, Belle thought.
"Lucy is suppose to take care of this child? So we'll take care
of her."
Edmund knelt down so that he was face to face with the little
girl. "Hello," he said softly. Belle was surprised. She didn't
know he could be kind to anyone but his sister. "My name is
Edmund. This is my sister Lucy. What's yours?"
"Zelda," the little girl replied. She seemed scared.
"Zelda, do you know that you're in danger?" The little girl
nodded. "My sister and I can keep you safe. Keep you hidden. Is
that all right with you?"
