"Ah..." Lucy faltered. 'I don't know if obligation is right....'
Her brother jumped in front of her - guarding her. She realed in
suprise, although she really shouldn't have as he was known to
do such things.

Padme frowned. This brown-haired boy was causing nothing but
trouble for the goddess. But, she thought to herself, she
couln't very well kill him, at least as far as she was told. She
sighed and awaited the princess to speak.

Edmund stood stock still, fighting his instinct to flee while he
thought. Finally he sighed heavily. He turned to Lucy. "In the
end it's you're decision. I'll follow you either way."

Lucy didn't know. She knew she couldn't leave her brother, she
knew he would follow her to the end of the world in turn. But
that little girl......
She was saved by the shining white princess speaking,
"Padame. What will you do?"
The gilstening blue eyes of the Princess were challening.

Merida was confused. "The savior of the human race?" But, she
looked at the people surrounding her. She knew light and dark
circled within each one, and Padame was an ancient being -
perhaps her moral sense had been warped with all that time and
power. Either way, she knew neither her nor the Princess would
let anything awful happen to that little girl. They would not
let her become corruopted.
Her words brought Merida back. She couldn't help but smile. No
matter what Padame chose, pain would follow her for what she had
done. She bit her lip agian, she didn't know what she wanted the
godess to pick - she just knew which one she was suppose to
want.

Fakir didn't want anything to do with these people anymore, so
he slipped out the door before anyone was able to notice.

Well, not everyone. Belle saw him slink out, but she said
nothing because there was nothing to say. One less strange
person in her house was fine by her. Still... Belle looked at
the young girl and saw her brother's earnest eyes. These two had
been through hell and back, she could see that, and this task
would make their lives ever harder.
