Locked Inside Forever Chapter 3: Answers Lead to Chaos

Last Post: Suddenly, Edmund remembered why Padme had been
imprisoned in the first place. "The murder... Was it you, or
were you really framed? Don't you even think about lying to me,"
he said, getting as close to the witch as he could, then he
dropped his voice to a whisper so that only she could hear. "It
all my years on the streets, I saw many ways to torture people
without killing them. Perhaps you'd feel experiencing one of
these would be preferable to the truth, the whole truth, and
nothing but the truth. Do you understand?"

Padme laughed at his attempt to threaten her. In any other
state, she would have been insulted at the thought of a human
spilling threats at her and she would have killed him
immediately for his insolence. But something Marethyu had told
her about the young boy held that part of her back, and she only
laughed. "I was not innocent of that. It was the first time I
was caught, though."

Zelda felt sick to her stomach on Padme's response, "first time
you were caught? How many times have you murdered?"

"Hundereds." Merida spat her icy eyes still ablaze.
The situation was very quickly spinning out of her control, and
the Princess needed to set things strait before too much more
happened. "If you truly wish to be a godess again" the way she
said it, was unbeliveing, cautionary , and the tiniest bit
condesening, "you may. But -"
"First! You must pay!"\

Lucy had been quitely watching the whole seen unravel. She
frowned.
"Who are you?" she asked the room at large, with no real
intened target - just wanting to get the anwsers from, well,
everyone.

Zelda could have gone at Padme's throat for hurting the people
of her kingdom but she knew that there was something still pure
in Padme. However, she could see that Merida didn't want Padme
to be free after all that she has done.

Padme smirked at the anger rushing through Merida. This was
definitely an interesting subject. She turned to the fiery
red-head. "And if I don't... 'pay', as you call it...?"
She ignored Lucy's obvious confusion. It was her own fault for
losing track of what was going on. Still, she had a bit of pity
for the girl- she had defended the goddess rather valiantly.

Merida wanted to shoot that damned "godess" then and there. But
she knew even if she could, it wouldn't do a lick of good. And
she couldn't. She had sworn. Tutu had explained, Duck had
explained, HE had explained - everybody told her. And she knew
it. And despite herself, she wanted to keep that vow more than
she wanted to see the bleeding corpse of that wretched creature.
"Do you still not understand?[font] Merida heard the Princess
saying. [font=trebuchet ms]"Justice cannot be served on the
physical level. We know that. You know that. Please, let us help
you. And you'll be able to truly become," she paused, or maybe
faultered, "what you were ment to be."
And that, even more than her sacride promise, kept her arrows in
their quiver and her sword sheathed

"Justice...you humans have an odd system. Okay, what must I do
to 'pay' for doing what I was told to do?" Padme raised an
eyebrow in question. While it seemed by her tone that she was
mocking, she was actually being serious. The sooner they let her
go, the sooner she could get back to her original post. She
would need quite a while to rest...perhaps a couple of decades
or so.
