Link looked at his two teammates. "Let's do this!"

"Shooting down Link," she said. Her voice was icy but even. "And
maybe Fakir," she added as an afterthought, making it sound like
he was a tasty snack. "Keep your guard up. And don't be an
idiot. We do not need a repeat of Massacare of Edmund." Edmund
scowled, and Merida shot him a pointed look.
Duck interupted, "Am I allowed to get things off the equipment
table?"
Merida turned to her. "We allow it. But you have to get there
without dying," she consented. She didn't think she needed to
say "Don't foolishly sacrafice yourself for something on that
table. Fat lot of good it will do you then."
Duck nodded, deterimned.
Merida felt her phone buzz again and decided to ignore it. She
said what she had to say, her sister could just deal with
whatever repricouions occured. She took the electronic out of
her pocket and placed it on the nearby rock, glancing at the
time. Five minutes was over.
Her whistle was pericing the air and everyone scattered.

Fakir dashed straight for Edmund, and vice versa. The clash of
metal rang in the backyard. Fakir slowly started to move
backward, moving forward once in awhile to let Ed think that he
had the upperhand. Once they were in the clear, then he would
strike.

Link met eyes with Merida, taunting her, then moving back a bit
through the grass. Behind him was a fairly large puddle, and he
decided he would get her to charge, then leap out of the way and
have her land in it.

Fakir felt the ground start to squish. They were almost there...

"Dammit!" Merida cursed under her breath. They simply had the
upper hand. "KEEP HIM OUT IN THE OPEN!" The firey red-head
screeced at the battling Knight of Justice. She knew the minute
those two were in the trees all was lost. "Don't be a pansy!
Fight!" Edmund could be such a hot-headed fool.
She saw Link disapeering, that gleeful smile on his face. And
the look that slid across her face would made even Fakir
shudder. It was when a hungry and wiley fox realizes it has a
rabbit it its scopes that can't get away. But it will certianly
love the chase.
Then like a shadow, the red-haired beauty was gone.

Lucy has dissapeared before the whistle blew. She had never been
good at head-on combat. Although she could hold her own,
decentenly at least, against these skilled opponents - and could
probably defeat any novice. She worked better as a stealth
combantant. She had her daggers ready. Anyone came into her
sights, and they would be down. But she couldn't throw until it
was absoultely necessary - or she would reveal her postion.
She smiled at Merida's frustrated instructions to her brother.
He could be so predictable.

Duck fled. Her insticts kicked into high gear when the arrows
started flying. So right after the whistle screak that scared
her half to death.
The little bird girl knew two things. Okay three.
First was, turing back INTO a duck would not be good. It would
in fact be very, very bad. So she'd have to be extra careful, to
not let that happen.
Second, she needed to stay out of sight. Maybe take down someone
by falling on their head. Or crashing into them. That seemed to
work well enough in real life.......
But the problem was, even though she was in acutally a bird -
stealth was not her thing. And her flaming red hair, wild flying
braid, and bouncing cowlick could prove problematic to hide in
the the greens and blues and browns and greys of the landscape
around her. Her bright yellow shirt wasn't really helping
either.
BUT she also knew that there was a dark cloak on the equimpent
table. If she got it....she might just have a chance.
However, for now, she was just hiding in a pile of leaves and
mud and possibly slugs.

Link knew that Merida was after him, and he knew exactly how to
handle himself. He held his ground, provoking her to charge him.

Fakir noticed Duck sliding toward the table, then he returned
his attention to the fight, hoping that Lucy would be able to
deal with her.
______________
Edmund knew that he was being led into a trap, but he was
curious to see how Merida would react if she lost for once. It
was a well known fact that she nearly always won, and when she
lost she was positively stellar. Still... he had to give a good
show or she'd skin him. He felt the ground squish beneath him
and realized that Fakir was leading him into the lake. He smiled
coyly. Do your worst, he dared.

"Does he really think I'm that stupid?" Merida asked herself
darting amoung the foliage as silent as a shadow

Duck knew she had been spotted, she could sense it. She grabbed
the cloak and disspeared into the trees as a dagger got wegged
in the end of her braid.

Lucy cursed as she sprinted away. She never missed. But then
again, she had never thrown at Duck. She just moved differently
from any other human. She was glad she hadn't missed in a way
that could have seriously injured the girl.
She saw Edmund and Fakir fighting and decided it was time to
make her move.

Link blinked. Big mistake.
He looked around, unable to see Merida. He continued backing up,
for the moment forgetting that a pond lay behind him...
Padme took a peek from the bushes. She saw Edmund fighting with
the dark haired boy. She smiled. The swordplay was like a
beautiful dance.
