(Certifiable brain fart. I fixed the error.)
Belle nodded thoughtfully, thinking about how she'd seen a few
bows. She'd taken archery as a high school student and really
enjoyed it. "I can see why you guys like it so much."

What is she doing? Fakir thought, catching sight of Duck sitting
by the pond. He did a quick scan for possible wildlife victims -
knowing her, she would probably fall on one - and approached
her. As soon as she spotted him, she began downing her water.
What the? "Idiot, stop that. You'll get sick if you drink to
much at once."

Edmund was unperturbed by his sister's question. "What about
Padme?"

Zelda smiled at the ground remembering all the times that she
spent with her little sister doing stuff like she was doing
tonight. She looked back at Belle, "what do you do for fun in
your town?"

"I, uh-" spluttered Duck. "I just need alot of water," she
finshed lamely.

Lucy's smirk only grew. But she'd play along, if he wanted.
Stringing him along didn't hurt her any. "You've never invited
someone along before." This wasn't quite true, he helped
corhurse Fakir, when Merida tried getting both him and Edmund to
join their little band. Lucy just ended up along.

Belle smiled. "I spent most of my time either in the library or
on the shooting range," she replied.

Fakir looked at the girl quizzically, hearing the hesitation in
her voice. He rolled his eyes. "Just don't throw up."

Edmund watched as the clouds moved across the sky. They were in
no hurry, why would they be? "She seemed interested, and she's
new, so she probably didn't have a lot of other offers. Besides,
she seems nice."
(I think I'm the only one with two guy characters :-\)

Link stretched, sipping on his water. He rubbed his left
shoulder blade. "Must have over strained it or something..." he
muttered to no one in particular.

Duck's face became cross. She knew he was trying to be helpful
and nice. "But does he have to be so Rude about it!?"

"Okay," she said with a shrug. Like it was totally beliveable.
Which it was not. "I was going to say hi too." she offered for
no real reason. "But you beat me too it." Her eyes sparlked
again.

Link was startled from his thoughts when Merida yelled for
practice to continue. He rolled his shoulder and prepared for
battle. Nothing he couldn't handle.

Zelda eyes bugged slightly Belle looked so skinny and frail she
never would have imagined her behind a gun, "the shooting range?
Really? Did you hunt much with your family or...?"

Merida had just finshed sorting the sticks and placing four in a
small gray velvet bag. "Okay everybody! Battle royal for the
second part of practice. I'll captain the silver team. Link the
gold." She shot him a pointed look. "Draw." And she thrust the
bag in the faces of the others. The plain brown ends were all
that were showing.
Duck hestiated. Fakir pulled on out but she couldn't see the
color. Lucy was next. She showed Duck the end of hers that was
painted. There were lots of different colors on it, circling in
neat strips. The very tip was glittering gold. Duck assumed that
was the color that mattered.

Link stood more upright when Merida said his name, and he pulled
his shoulders back, trying to stand tall and look like a leader.
Truthfully Merida was a more born leader than he, but she always
appointed him roles to play and he filled them the best he
could.
