Crystal Shadow: Chapter 3 ~ Of Deeds and Daggers

Synopsis of Chapter 1:
Day 1: Tuesday
The Knights are a rag-tag group of friends that spread
throughout all the grades at Webster High. Merida is one of the
founders. She also has to deal with her sister Zelda who is
heading for college, and her younger triplet brothers. Suffice
it to say, it's hard to get a moment of quiet. One night, she is
watching her favorite show Merlin when she texts her friends
about the next meeting. It doesn't take long for Lucy and Edmund
Pevensie to respond to her call. Nor does it take long for their
friend Link to respond while he moons over his long love Zelda
while she prepares to start attending college.
The only member of their gang that doesn't get the message is
Fakir, who spends all of his time at the pond in his back yard
with a little duck he calls Ente. That night they read a story
he had written about a Demon King and a band of Brave Knights.
Though, he doesn't know that with the aid of a flower, she can
turn into a girl named Duck, a person that Fakir doesn't get
along with very well. The next day he gets caught by Merida and,
in a burst of irritability, offers his back yard for their next
meeting.
Day 2: Wednesday
In the meantime, Link has driven out to Zelda's college, at her
behest, and they confessed to each other. The only person that
knows is one of Zelda's classmates, Belle, who watched from afar
as a small misunderstanding was patched up between the two.
Synopsis of Chapter 2:
Day 2: Wednesday
Lucy propses the idea of having an indvidual name for the little
group of 'Knights' which everyone is taken with. They plan on
having training at Fakir's.
Duck informs Lucy that her meeting with Tomoyo (a girl from
Duck's work) has been postponed. But they all meet out front
preparing for Knight training. Duck ends up coming along.
However, it starts raining, and training is postponed.
Day 3: Thursday
Zelda and Link share texts and revel in their new romance.
While at Webseter Acedemy there is a new student, Padmae. Her
mom is an ER nurse and she was kicked out of her previous school
for fighting.
At lunch that day, the Knights and their newest member (Duck)
are eating togeter. Discusing training and a new name. Merida is
still upset with Link for him bailing and Duck is nervous around
Fakir and the idea of going to their pond in her human form.
Edmund sees Padame at a near by table and talks to her.
Merida and Fakir get into a friendly banter that Merida wins,
with the promise of retreaving a little black book of his where
he keeps all his stories.
Belle and Zelda meet up again. They talk and hang out. It ends
with Zelda inviting Belle to join her for the weekend in her
excursion home.
After school the group prepares to go to training. Edmund
invites Padmae. They all start a race, but Padmae is offened by
Edmund's 'man-handling' of her and opts out.
They head to Merida's to get the weapons.
Last post:
"Well." Merida said, her mind eleswhere. "Then..." She started
up the van and they drove off.

As enormous as the van was, (Seriously bus-like) Edmund opted
out and got behind the wheel of his old/new Toyota Avalon. Fakir
slid into the passenger seat and they set off. Merida led the
way in her mini-bus and it didn't take them long to arrive in
her driveway.

Link was the first to get out of Merida's car. He stretched, a
bit dissapointed that Zelda had yet to respond. Merida was
geting pretty passionate about practice, so Link was glad she
had finally forgotten about his skipping out yesterday.

The group followed Merida to the shed where all the equipment
was locked up.

Merida unlocked the door and revealed a clean white and chrome
shed with tile that looked suspicously like marble.
But that wasn't what blew Duck away.
It was the rows and rows of weapons and armor. From crossbows to
pistols, swords, morning stars, maces, shot guns, machine guns,
bows and arrows of all kinds, and hundereds of weapons Duck had
never even seen before.
"Wow" she breathed.
"Merida's been collecting since she was four, that bow" Lucy
explained, pointing, "was her first. The Knights helped her
expand. Some of these we bought ourselves. Just keep in here."
"You could supply an entire army," Duck said utterly amazed.
Then she saw the armor.
It was far less extensive, but still impressive. Medieval style
leather padding, bullet proof vests, bullet proof vests designd
to look medevil. A small vaired selection of chain mail,
helmets, and sheilds. As well as single full body set of
Knight's armor. That looked more for decoration than anything,
though.
Everything here seemed to span all time periods and places.
Then Merida spoke up, "Link! Why don't you get the armor loaded?
Just the basics. though. Edmund, get the heavy armor. Lucy the
light. Fakir, why don't you try to find some weapons picked for
Duck? I'll get her sutied up."

They nodded. Edmund gathered the metal breast plates and loaded
them into his trunk, then he grabbed his favorite sword and set
it in the back seat. He decided that it would be best to take
Fakir's too, so it ended up on the floor of Ed's back seat.

Fakir studdied Duck for a moment. It was blatantly obvious that
she wasn't meant for fighting, so he found her a dagger, a small
bow, and a set of knives to throw. She should be proficient at
at least one.

Zelda was glad that she made a new friend so soon she really
needed one in this new enviorment "I live about half an hour
west of here in Shelton (just a random name I came up with
nothing special hahaxD) Anything you want to take I suggest you
pack for a couple days and I'll meet you at my car in about ten
minutes it's the red volkswagon by the main office."
As Zelda headed to her car a few minutes later she saw the text
from Link and replied:
Interesting....I have a class with Groose apparently and it was
very....well, interesting. How is my sister treating everyone
with the knight thing? Please be careful things can get brutal
and she gets really into it!
She wanted to keep her visit a surprise still and she knew she
had to tell him about Groose kissing her but not over text...
In the meantime she got into her car and saw Belle approaching.
She flashed her lights to make sure Belle saw her.

Link saw the message and his heart sank. "Not Groose again..."
he muttered to himself. Well, at least it seemed as though the
red-haired boy had managed to keep his paws off of Zelda.
Sorry to hear about that. Merida is fine, in fact she made a new
friend today. Good luck on staying your first weekend!

(you do realize its Thursday....unless they don't have anymore
class :/)
Merida looked down at the scrawny girl. "Light" she thought.
That would be her advantage. Light and small. Merida found a
very light leather vest, small. Lucy's from a while ago.
Duck put it on. It fit well. Merida handed her some arm and leg
gurads. They matched. Duck smiled at her new onsamble.
Fakir came back, "Here," he said in his gruff voice.
Merida exaimed the weapons and nodded happily. "Do we still have
that blade whip?"
