Lucy noted her use of words, 'She just wanted to call him on his

Dean was shocked about what was going on. Was he imagining it?
He took her hands off of his neck and pushed her off, "as much
as I would like to continue, didn't we just do this a couple of
hours ago? Don't take me for a fool."
Zelda giggled at Edmund's comment. It seemed that she became
interested in the conversation that was going on in front of her
the most when he was talking.

Padme's heart took a hit. "Dean, I..." she was searching for the
right words. "I don't think you're a fool at all. I...I think
I'm in love with you." She said the last few words quietly. She
looked up into Dean's face with pain in her eyes.
"Please...please don't push me away..."

Dean hesitated for a second he didn't want to let her in but he
felt that would be too rude, he sighed and rubbed his eyes from
still being tired, "sure...why not."

Padme saw Dean's hesitation. "Perhaps I was wrong..." she spoke,
"I just thought maybe you had feelings for me, because I have
feelings for you." She didn't move from where she stood. "But
obviously I was wrong. And if you must know, the reason I left
was to assert my feelings. Your...outburst was unexpected, and I
didn't know how to react...I thought I wasn't ready to be in a
relationship, but now I think I am. Well, sorry for bothering
you and waking you up. See you around." She walked away, a
single tear falling down her face. She needed to confide with
Belle...today was a complete disaster...

"Padme!" Dean called, "you know I have feelings for you. Hell, I
have had feelings for you about a year now. How you feel about
me pushing me away is what I went through but I can gurantee you
it was ten times worse because I put my heart on the line and
you walked away....I just feel like you're trying to play with
my heart..."

Padme turned. "I would NEVER toy with someone like that. It's a
terrible thing to do." her voice was laced with pain, as though
she knew how terrible it was from first hand experience. "And
truthfully...I didn't know you had feelings for me for so long
now. If I'd known, I wouldn't have acted that way...I thought
these feelings you had were new."

"I did..." he spoke softly, walked up to her, grabbed her hand
and brought her inside. Dean faced Padme very closely and took
hold of both of her hands and held them between the two of them.
"Before we go on I want to make sure that I would be the only
man on your mind...Is there any unfinished business you need to
make?" He stared her eyes down. He wouldn't go through the same
sort of break up that had happened a couple years ago.
