Tinkerell was touched by this stranger's kindness. She tried her
hardest to master speech. "Ti...Tink...Tinkerbell."
Link's phone vibrated, but he didn't touch it. He was too
wrapped up in his conversation with Belle.

Merida had come home very late that night. Lucy had waited up
for her. "You didn't need to do that Lu." "I know."
They retired to bed.
They next morning seemed usual enough. Until.... "He called off
the wedding!"
"What?!" both daughters inquired. "Herr Holmes! He called off
the wedding. After all the preperation I did! I tried so hard to
secure you a husband! This is you're fault!" she suddenly
screeced at Merida.
"Me?! What did I do?"
"Did he say why?" intergected Lucy.
"Something about bull-headed parites. The monetary benifits have
been lost. Refuses to partipacte in this traditonal scheancary
any longer!"
"So its a done deal? I'm not getting married. No way for this to
change?""No" their mother said miserably.
Merida could not contain her glee. She started dancing in
circles right there in the kitchen.

Belle stood up and chased after Link. "Wait!" He paused and
turned to look at here. "Would you like to come over for lunch
today?" she asked. She didn't know why, but she really really
wanted to see him again. She'd never felt such a strong pull
before.

"You mean you would like to hang out with anyone less than your
prince charming?" He replied. His tone suggested that he wanted
her, but didn't like being played with like a toy.

Belle was hurt. She sighed. "I'm sorry," she repeated. "I have
no idea what's going on. All I know is that I feel a very strong
attraction to you, but I can't just abandon Ed like that..." She
didn't mention the fact that she felt like Ed had abandoned her.
"The offer stands, though. I live through those trees. There's a
clearing about 100 yards ahead. There are two cottages. Mine is
the one on the right. Beware of the left one though. Fakir
doesn't care much for unexpected visitors." Suddenly, her mind
picked out a piece of important information that she'd forgotten
while talking to Link. "Oh, crap. Fakir was suppose to come over
for breakfast. I really have to go. See you later," she said,
voicing her desire for another meeting with the blond boy.

Fakir had been waiting on Belle's porch for twenty minutes at
least when she crashed through the underbrush. "Sorry I'm late,"
she said. "Come on it. I'll have the food ready soon."
He couldn't not notice the gleam in her eye or the way she
thundered around the house. He hadn't seen his old friend like
this in years. "Who is he?" Fakir asked.

"Link." came a voice from the door. The two turned to see him
propped up against the door, arms crossed.

(Okay. Even I did not expect that.)
Belle whipped around, surprised at first, but she couldn't help
but smile. "Hello, Link. I didn't expect to see you again so
soon." She gestured to Fakir, who had his feet propped up on the
table. She kicked them off and continued. "This is Fakir. Fakir,
this is Link. Play nice," she whispered the last part under her
breath so that only Fakir could hear her.
"That shouldn't be too hard," he replied at the same volume. He
stood up and extended his hand. "Nice to meet you."

Link shook the dark-haired boy's hand. "Likewise. So, you and
Belle are good friends?" He asked Fakir.

"Siblings, actually," he replied. Link looked between the two of
them, looking for similarities. "Okay, half siblings," he
relented, "but siblings nonetheless."
