This was all too much for Padme to take in. The boy was being
nice to her? And....inviting her. As she understood, a smile
slowly blossomed across her face. "Alright," she replied slowly.

Edmund's smile grew. "Great!" He took her elbow and propelled
her forward. They caught up with his friends quickly and
introductions were quickly run through, thanks to Ed's lightning
tongue.

Padme masked her face, showing the others she was not afraid or
intimidated by the giant group. "My name is Padme," she offered.
"Where do I begin?"

"We have to go to Merida's house first to get our stuff. Then
we're going to Fakir's to train," Edmund explained, goofy smile
in place. "As for any further questions you may have, ask away
and one of us will be happy to answer."

Padme let a small smile escape at the way Edmund was acting. For
some reason, she could never act very fearless around him. She
nodded to the others. "Alright, let's go then. Didn't mean to
keep you waiting."

"Let's go!" Edmund called, leading the charge. He still had a
hold of Padme, so she was forced to race along beside him.
Because of this, it didn't take long for Merida to pass them by.
Ed looked over his shoulder and saw that Lucy was gaining on
them too. He wasn't going to be bested running. No way, Jose. He
paused for only a second to swing Padme across his back like a
child getting a piggy back ride, then he was off again, and
gaining, despite his load.

Padme was thrown WAY out of her comfort zone. For one, she liked
the boy, but not enough to be man-handled by him. When he threw
her onto his back, she felt extremely threatened. Without
thinking, she knee-ed (? :P) him in the side, then rolled off as
he hit the ground. When she stood up, he was on his face on the
ground. She rolled him over to his back with her leg and placed
her foot lightly on his throat. "Do that again, and next time I
won't hold back." Her eyes spewed fire, and he winced. Before he
could say anything, she began slowly walking toward the others,
fuming.

Edmund smiled. That was fun. He brushed his clothes off and
started running again. He had a lot of ground to cover if he was
going to catch up with his sister and Merida.

Padme watched Edmund get up and run past her, after the others.
She was in no rush. How dare he treat me that way? What a jerk.
she thought to herself. and I had pinned him to be such a nice
kid... she rolled her eyes. Perhaps she had made a mistake by
deciding to join this group. She slowly stopped, then began
making her way back home, defeated. There goes her chance of
making friends, might as well pack up and head out to a new
school...maybe next time she won't embarass herself so
terribly...

Fakir saw her start to walk away, and decided to follow her.
"Hey!" he called, and was mildly surprised when she stopped.
"Don't take Edmund seriously, you'll only get a headache. He's
got the mental range of a five year old."
