"I don't recall saying that. He seems to be a very nice boy. I
wouldn't mind getting to know him better," she admitted.

Padme smiled. "So, I couldn't help but notice that you play the
strings as well," she said, changing the subject. "Is that why
you are here at the school?"

"I see," she muttered. By the short response, Padme could tell
she had hit a sore spot. She didn't know what to change the
subject to, so she just sat on her bed, looking down in awkward
silence.

"My parents practically pushed him out the door," Belle
supplied.

Duck was greatful to finally make it out to the Headmaster's
office. The questions were starting to prickle. But she liked
Padmae and said as much as well as a clumsy thank you as she was
leaving.
The red-haired girl knocked. "Enter." A voice from inside
echoed.
"Princple Dumbra." Duck said nervoulsy.
The woman before her was fierce. Long dark chocolate hair, a
deep forest green suit, and expression that said she was not one
to be reckoned with. She emianted power and elegance.
Duck was practically trembling, she had problems with...trouble.
"Please sit." Duck wasn't sure how, but it souned both like a
gentle request and a firm demand. Duck did so quickly, nearly
tipping the chair as she did so.
"You're previous instutor, Mr. Cat, was it, wanted to be sure we
had a chat before term started."
"Yes ma'm."

"No," Belle replied, rolling her eyes. "They were only too happy
to get rid of me."

Fakir grew bored quickly. Edmund was reading on his bed, and
Link was doing... Well, Fakir didn't know, nor care, what he was
doing. So the dark haired boy left the room and decided to walk
around the grounds.

After many, many long minutes Duck was finally excused from the
princple's office with a stack of paper's and orders to report
to her dorm. Duck liked the principle, but that didn't stop her
from having a healthy fear of the lady and her fierece Scottish
ways. "Won't stop me from being tardy though...." she mumbled.
The world could depend on it, and she'd be lucky to be only a
couple minutes late to class. "Even Mr. Cat couldn't help..."
and he was a truly terrifying teacher.
Walking down the hall she thought she remebered leading to the
exit, she bumped into someone. Neither had been paying hardly
any attention at all it had just happened. The two lay there in
tangled mess litterd with papers. They both pulled them selves
free with the grace and easy that only comes with pratice. Duck
looked up to find a girl about sixteen with a beatutiful mop of
crazy curls, that seemed to shift from reds to oranges - like a
fire - as she moved, swinging from her head. She had ice blue
eyes that shown with spirit and a bow slung across her back.
"I'm so sorry!" spluttered Duck.
"Don't worry about it," the girl responed in a distinctly
Scottish accent, which after just talking to the princple, took
Duck aback. It was my fault tooo. I'm Merida, by the way."
"Duck."
"That's a cute name."
Ah, well." And they started collecting the pages scattered
across the hallway.
____
Upon first meeting Duck, Merida had two impressions. First was
that she seemed very like a bird, spacing and clumsy. And that
second, she looked alot like Merida in physical apperence. She
wasn't as muscular or as tall. Her hair wasn't the same vibrant
shade of red or her eyes as icy, but she defiantly looked
similar. Her hair was obvioulsy just as wild, with bushing
bangs, a extremely long braid that did not want to stay still,
and giant cowlick that didn't look like it would go down if you
put a brick ontop of it. Her eyes held less green and icy, but a
vibrant peireceing saphire blue.
Merida couldn't say for sure why, people had never been her
strong point, but she liked the girl. She could see a bright
spirit and pure heart within her.
They caught a glimpse of one the papers she was collecting,
"From the Desk of Elenor Dumbra - Headmaster of Schol de
Aeterni", and based on the hallway they were in..."You just get
back from my mum's office?"
"Wait!" the girl started, "YOU'RE Mom is the princple here!?"
"Sure is. Tough as a bear, she is. Don't want to get on the
wrong side of her, beileve me"
Duck just chuckled akwardly. Merida understood.
"What did she need to see you for anyways?"
"Transfer student," Duck replied, holding up one of the papers.
The one from Germany?" ""That's me!"
"You'll have to tell me all about it sometime, but right now the
Headmaster is expecting me." Merida's voice spoke volumes. Duck
smiled a smile only someome who had been in the exact same
situation could have.
"Talk to you later! It was great to meet you Merida!"
Then the cheery girl ran off, nearly tripping on the steps as
she head to the courtyard. Merida laughed and turned to face her
impending doom.

Padme sighed. "I'm so sorry....that is a terrible thing to do to
a child."
