Link couldn't help smiling a bit. He tried his best not to
glance at the silver-haired boy. Oh, would Merida looove to hear
about this....but the guy seemed geniunely interested in her, so
maybe Link could talk some sense into her before the poor guy
approached her. Link knew all too well Merida's rejections,
seeing boy after boy have his heart ripped out in front of him.
At one point Link thought she wouldn't want to be friends
anymore, but luckily they had befriended earlier, when they were
still kids.
He hesitated- he really wanted to warn this new kid- but he
figured it would be for the better to stay silent. He'd just
have to get to Merida first.

Halfway through her sandwich, she felt a tug on her dress.
Looking down, she saw Dean! Her heart melted at the sight of his
big, innocent eyes. "Hey there big boy! What are you doing
here?"

Malcolm nodded, smiling slightly embarrassed, "I
would join but, uh, I don't think I'd have much luck, you know."
He joked, winking at Jack.

Sherlock looked back at John seriously, "Would
I really do that, John?" he asked. John just gave him a look.
Sherlock sighed. "Fine, but I'm not this time." He looked back
at the pale, silvery-haired boy. "He just.... doesn't seem
right. Like... he's hiding something. Not something stupid, like
a crush or cheating on his girlfriend," Sherlock added, quite
sick of high school drama. "But something... big... really big."
He said quietly. "Like he's in a disguise..." Sherlock trailed
off.
"What are you rambling about?" John asked.
Sherlock merely shook his head, and turned back to his Chemistry
work.

Aang and Hermione sat down next to each other in
class. "Well, I heard Duck talking about this Knights club with
another girl," he saw something icy and fiery flash in her eyes
all at once. He found it strange, but continued. "They do
martial arts, so I asked to join,"
Aang was suddenly cut off as Hermione hissed.
"Fine. Join your little club with Duck, without me! See if I
care!" Angry, upset tears were in her eyes as she stalked off,
sitting at another table.
"Hermione!?" Aang asked. The whole class was
looking at them. He didn't understand why she should be so
upset. "Hermione! What is it?" she didn't answer. He didn't know
what was wrong. Then he realized she didn't know he was going to
ask her to come with him. He subtly sat down beside her as she
furiously wiped away a tear or two. She tried to completely
ignored him.
"Hermione," he said softly, "I was about to ask you
to come and "test" with me on Saturday," Hermione still didn't
answer, but he knew her well enough that Aang could tell
Hermione was listening, even if she was pretending not to.

Jack spotted people staring, and gave Malcom a side-ways glance
that he seemed to understand. "Shut up"
Jack wasn't sure he felt like everyone assumed he did. "I just
want to get to know her, the real her" he thought to himself.

Malcolm simply did his little half-smirk, his
eyes shining as he looked back the chemistry work he really
wasn't too keen for.

Aang continued talking, seeing as she hadn't
gotten up and left again. He quietened his voice, and pretty
soon their classmates lost interest. "Look, I was just
interested and I thought it would be fun if we did it together!
This Knight thing... well, they have to test us, I guess to see
if we're fit enough to be a 'knight.' I guess I just thought
you'd want to come with... It sounded fun." He said, looking
down at the table as the bell rang and the teacher got up to
explain today's lesson.
Hermione looked up at him, feeling much
better, but trying to retain a little of her dignity, she said,
"I suppose I could try it," she said skeptically.

"Dean!" Darien slithered his way through the crowds of people
and saw off in the distance his son talking but he couldn't see
to who. He ran towards him and picked him up giving him a small
lecture about running away, once again. He looked down to see
Padme, "oh hey! Not that it isn't nice to see you, but shouldn't
you be in school?"

John was relieved when the final bell rang after
Chemistry. Picking up his bag and his books, he headed to his
locker, slightly annoyed to see Sherlock was following him.
"You're following me," he grumbled.
"Wonderful deduction, John," Sherlock said. It
was almost congradulatory, and only a touch scornful that it
made John even more annoyed.
"Could I, you know, maybe get a few minutes peace
from you!?" John hissed, hoping people weren't staring. REALLY
didn't need people to think they were having some sort of
domestic. Just then he heard a snide comment.
"Are they all gay over in England?" he didn't
see who it was, but he didn't much care, rather used to those
sort of comments and hurried out the front door of the school,
eager to get away from the place.

Zelda made her way back once again to the school; Merida forgot
her money for lunch. On her way in she ran into John and
Sherlock, "you kids are still fighting?!"

"Not fighting exactly. John simply seems to
find my presence irksome for some reason." John rolled his eyes
at Sherlock.

Padme smiled. "I get early off, since it's my last year and I
have enough credits to take a class period or two off."
Link was walking through the halls and spotted Sherlock and John
ahead. Just then, a kid made a comment about the two being gay.
He saw the look on John's face and was suddenly filled with
rage. He grabbed the kids' shoulders and pushed him against the
wall. "Just who do you think you are?!"
The kid was shaking, obviously a first-year. "Uh..I just..."
"It would be advisable to avoid picking on others," Link replied
with a venom in his words. "You never know when you might insult
the wrong person..."
With that, he let the kid go and turned around, walking away.

Zelda giggled at the sarcastic comment Sherlock made towards
John and noticed a boy walking out of the school who seem
somewhat frazzled while talking to his friends. She thought she
heard him say Link's name but she couldn't be too sure. She
looked back to John and Sherlock, "You guys shouldn't be so
worried about what these kids think, you may be here for a
couple years but it's definitely not the rest of your life.
Plus, who cares if you don't have their approval. You have lived
this long without it, and who says you need it for the
remainder, right?"
With that she waved goodbye and ran inside hoping to find Merida
before she got to her next class.
