"Padme left school early, unable to keep her thoughts straight.
When she got home, she saw that her mother wasn't home yet and
took the liberty of making a snack and some dinner that her mom
would reheat when she got off her shift. Instead of eating
alone, she decided it would be best to go out somewhere, and
wrapped her food picnic style. Upon wandering around in the new
town, she found a delightful looking park where some children
were playing, and decided to have her afternoon snack on a bench
nearby.
Link itched in his seat, willing the bell to ring. He HATED
math, and his teacher was such a bore... "Only a few more
periods..." he muttered to himself."
---------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
Jack was just thankful it was Friday, even if it was only first
period. He really wasn't a fan of school, and unlike the other
kids, it wouldn't effect his future any. Well other than the
snarky remarks from Bunnymund.
As Mr. McGee went on about some William Blake poem, Jack thought
of all the things he could be doing right now instead. Making
sculptures in the Himalayas, giving Australia a late-date
blizzard, playing with the kids in Russia. But no, he was stuck
in a boring English class, learning about a long dead poet; Jack
had probably seen in real life - not that he would know it.
"All because I have to spend a year as "a human" for my Guardian
training. I think its punishment," he thought for the umpteenth
time.
Then he heard it, looked down at the text and saw the words, "If
the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to
man as it is, infinite."
Jack didn't know why, but something struck him in those lines.
"Maybe its time to stop being so bitter; I always looked on the
humans with envy. I'll make the best of this and show them!"

Aang was nearly bouncing with anticipation as second period was
ending. She flashed him a wicked grin.

"Last day with her. Just get through today," Merida thought as
she entered third period History.

(Later in the day: passing period between
6th and 7th)
Aang approached Duck, and heard the word "Knight
practice..." from a girl talking to her with crazy, curly red
locks. As he neared, and stopped by Duck, they both turned to
him, the girl with the Scottish accent stopping and gazing at
him, her eyes slightly narrowed. Aang didn't recognize her and
decided they must not have many classes together. She looked
like she had stopped talking as though he weren't to be trusted.

Jack was headed to seventh, when he saw her.
He didn't know how he had missed her, with flaming red hair that
exploded around her her head. His eyes grew wide, in
three-hundred years of living, he had never seen anyone like
her; or felt anything like this. "Is it cause I'm human now?" he
wondered.
He found his way into Chemistry, taking his seat. Then he turned
to the boy next to him, whom he had always kind of liked,
"Malcom, who is the girl with the really long curly red hair?"
The look his new friend gave him, sent shivers down his once
frozen spine. "That's what that's like...."

It was 4:52, and Lucy was almost out of her music lesson. She
couldn't wait to get to The Briar Rose Cottage and talk to
Tomoyo.

"Ah... I don't know if you're gonna have much
luck there. You're not the first," Malcom said in his British
accent, with a knowing, mischievous smile at Jack. "That's
Merida Umbra," he said, nodding, "She doesn't take kindly to
that. Her family runs a big cooperation. The people who approach
her as such don't usually come off too well." Malcolm's face
soured a bit, and he whispered something only for Jack to hear,
"I would know."
(<3 Has anyone else seen Enterprise??)
---------------------------------------------------------
Aang walked with Duck down the hall during
passing period. "Last period!" he said brightly to her. Then he
paused, "What where you and... that other girl talking about
Knight practice?" he inquired. "It sounded fun," he continued
hopefully.

Jack couldn't help but smirk at Malcom's last comment. From the
little he knew of the British boy that seemed totally in
character. His eyes sparked, and then he asked, incredaulous,
"So she's a snob?".

Duck, bit her lip and chuckled. She explained it all, telling
him everything that had happened in the past two days with the
crazy new adventure she had found in the "Knights". "I can ask
Merida tonight if you can "test" on Saturday too, and call
you..." she said sheepishly. It wasn't that she didn't want Aang
to join, she was just so new she didn't feel like she could
bring anyone along yet.

Aang looked curiously at her, "Can Hermione
come along?" he asked cheerfully. He knew she'd probably like
to.

"I don't know, I guess I can ask," Duck answered, still
sheepish.

"No. She actually hates when people treat her diffidently
because she's rich." Jack appreciated Malcom's tendency to not
mince words. "She just doesn't respond well to guys asking her
out."

Malcolm continued, "She also runs some sort of
club," Jack perked back up. Malcolm shook his head, "Oh, no. I
heard it's pretty exclusive. I was rather interested myself and
not just because of her," he added at the end. "They do some
sort of martial arts. I've heard about it from a few of the
other kids who actually participate." Malcolm finished.
---------------------------------------------------------
Aang laughed slightly. "Well, get back to me
after school, kay?" he said, "Hermione and I are hanging out, so
I can talk to her too," he said brightly.
---------------------------------------------------------
"Okay, Sherlock, seriously," John said, as
they made their way side by side. "You've insulted Anderson, and
corrected the teachers and the other students and been as
condescending to everyone as possible, like usual, but you've
barely said a word to me all day! I didn't think it was that big
of a deal." Sherlock grimaced.
"It's not. It's that you thought I was to
blame," he replied curtly. "I just didn't see there was anything
to talk about. You weren't talking much either," Sherlock
pointed out, as John scribbled on the worksheet in science,
trying to get work done.

Jack smiled at Malcom. The boy seemed to understand, he didn't
know why he had spent the last two weeks of school being bitter;
this was so much more fun!

"Sure!" Duck called as she raced away, realizing she'd be late
for 7th. She made it to her seat just as the bell rang. She
crumpled on her desk, "I will go to that sleepover. One more
night shouldn't kill me," she thought with hesitation. "I'll
just have to go Saturday. I miss Fakir....."

Sherlock suddenly stopped paying
attention. John knew that face all too well. "What is it?" he
hissed, glancing over at what Sherlock was looking at. It was a
pair of boys, one with dark hair and bluish eyes, and the other
with piercing icy eyes and strangely silver-blue-white hair,
that John assumed had been dyed as a fashion statement. "He has
an English accent," Sherlock observed, starring hard at the boy
with the dark, blackish hair. "Yeah," John answered, "So what?
He always had. "He moved, like you, and like my parents ages
ago." John said, giving Sherlock a weird look, "Didn't you know?
And why should you care now? You never have before."
Sherlock shook his head, "I heard something
about... the knights. And he doesn't seem quite right," Sherlock
stated, nodding toward the boy with the silvery hair. "I don't
know what it is....something... not natural," Sherlock
continued, shaking his head slightly.
John shook his head, confused. "Are you just
pulling my leg? Because I blamed you for being late, and made
you late?" John asked.
---------------------------------------------------------
Hermione looked up, clutching her book to her
chest, she saw Aang. Pleasure shot through her, but then a
little spike of jealousy when she saw Duck. She knew Aang was
best friends with her, too. "It's okay," she muttered to her
books, "He can have other friends...who are girls," but she
still felt that bite. "No, no, don't think that," she snapped at
herself. She caught up to Aang, "Hey!" she said as brightly as
she could just as Duck disappeared. "Let's get to seventh!" she
said, since they had the same class. Aang nodded, smiling at
her, seemingly happy to see her. "Yeah," he said. "I need to ask
you something."
