(I was thinking, when we start a new chapter, we
could have the last post and a link to the story summary ;) )
"Let's get on with this match!" Aang exclaimed
excitedly. Hermione sighed and shut her book, standing up,
grimacing.
"Alright, come on then Fakir."
---------------------------------------------------------
John watched as the door opened to a very
annoyed looking girl with flaming, curly red hair. "What now!?"
she demanded, her eyes falling on John. John couldn't help
noticing she was quite pretty, her shining brown eyes piercing
him.
"I'm, uh.." he cleared his throat. "John
Watson, and this is my fr-- colleague, Sherlock Holmes. I'm here
to deliver a... letter." he said, gulping slightly, feeling
somewhat intimidated.

(I'll see what I can do when I get on a computer.)
Fakir readied his weapon. He positioned himself, and lunged.

(Okay. I'm sure you caught the person @ the door was
Cece X-D )
Hermione parried quickly. She simply told
herself wielding a sword wasn't that much differrent than
flourishing a wand. It worked. Suddenly, she was a more even
match for Fakir, such she'd never thought happen with what a
good swordsman he was. But as he lunged and parried himself, she
saw the movements and simply thought the motions of the
different spells in her head, because the moves were remarkably
similar. She wasn't equal to him, by any stretch, but she
certainly could hold her ground, surprisingly enough.

Fakir noticed it, no good sorcerer worth his gum could miss it.
She wasn't wielding a sword, not in her mind, and he could
easily use that to his advantage.

Fakir suddenly altared his attacks. Hermione
felt it, saw it. The sword was beginning to feel more
comfortable in her hand, but she saw Fakir had spotted the fact
she was using spells as her asset. She clenched her teeth, and
deviated. She still felt the flow in her, and it still wasn't
too much different. She had the sword long enough, and got used
enough to the flow, the rhythm, the timing, the elegant dance.
She was actually beginning to enjoy herself, and she felt like
she might actually be able to hold on a little longer, and
actually learn something, despite how adept Fakir was at
weilding a sword.
---------------------------------------------------------
Aang watched with great interest as the battle
between the two ensued. He hadn't had much experience with
swords yet, and still preferred fighting with his staff, or
simply melee, but he decided a good first learning step would
simply be watching a battle like this. He could tell Fakir had a
slight upper-hand in the battle, but Hermione was not doing too
poorly herself. He may not know much about fencing, but he
certainly did know enough about different martial arts to
recognize it.

Fakir smirked. She was getting the hint. Now to throw her off
balance.
Without missing a beat, Fakir turned and executed a perfect
jump, landing elegantly on his toes a number of feet from his
starting position. For added flair, he even managed to input an
arabesque . Hermione looked startled, but was unabashed and
continued her relentless assault.

Hermione decided it was time to move in for
the final blow. As she twirled her sword to the side against
Fakir's, he immediately felt her move, turned it against her and
she was suddenly defenseless, a sword at her throat.
"Touche'...." she grimaced, brushing her sweaty, bushy brown
hair from her eyes as he withdrew his sword. Aang began clapping
loudly, a silly big grin on his face.

Fakir wiped the sweat from his brow. "Indeed. Well done," he
muttered.
(Nar, we've turned this into a two person story! :( Seeing as
we're the only ones replying...)

(well, you can reply w/ CeCe 2 John now :D Anyway, that's bound
to happen occasionally. The others will jump back in later I'm
sure, they're just busy.)
Aang walked over as Hermione pushed
herself off the ground. "That was awesome!" he exclaimed. He
felt the smallest tug of familiarity, feeling as if he once
again belonged somewhere, as if it were the times again when
he'd had good friends all around.
