Padme finally got a good look at the girl who had helped them
escape. "Hello," she spoke softly and nervously, "I don't
believe we've been properly introduced. I'm Padme."
Tinkerbell sighed. This was turning out to be more than what she
had expected. She hovered closer to Edmund, but not too close so
that she threw off his concentration. She looked around, trying
to sense the beings around them. When finally, she sensed a HUGE
moose, just over a hill. She become excited, then swooped down
to Ed to tell him the big news. When she got to him he smiled up
at her, and she knew he had found the tracks of the giant
animal, hidden in the snow. She nodded silently and pointed to
the direction of it, and the two made their way to their next
tastey meal.

Edmund liked having the little fairy close by, and not just for
her fantastic senses. It took nearly an hour to track the moose,
and another to kill and skin it. Edmund gathered what he could
carry in his coat, which he'd made into a makeshift sack.
Hopefully, it would be enough to last the next day or so.

Tink sprinkled some pixie dust on the meat in an attempt to
prolong its expiration, then the two headed back to the camp.
When they arrived, they saw Lucy...alone.
Padme ran for her life. She took turns wildly throughout the
winter woods. She finally arrived at a tiny log cabin with a
welcoming glow. She stepped up to the door and knocked.
Link was sitting in a comfortable chair, reading a book by the
fire. He glanced outside to see the snow begin to fall once
more. "Third time today," he remarked to no one in particular,
"wonder if it'll storm.." his thoughts were interrupted by a
knock at the door. He walked slowly to the front of the house
and wearily opened the door.

Edmund whirled around, looking for the AWOL girl. Where was she?
They were miles from any sort of civilization and she just had
to choose that moment to disappear. Did she not realize how
dangerous it was. "Stay put," he commanded Lucy, much to her
ire. "And you," he addressed the fairy, "stay with her."

Belle enjoyed her walks through the woods, they were always so
peaceful. However, a pair of worn, leather boots stomping
through the forest angrily is enough to set any girl off. "Hey!"
she called.
The boy, for she saw now that it was a boy, had dark hair and
smokey eyes. "Yes?" he replied irritably.
"What's wrong with you? You could attract attention from the
animals stomping about like that."
"Sorry. Have to run. Bye." And he was gone.

Tinkerbell looked Lucy over, then gasped. Her memory has been
erased! I HAVE to tell Edmund...this new girl could be very
dangerous....or the two could have possibly gotten attacked....
She raced with Lucy to the direction Edmund went.
When Link opened the door, he was surprised to see a beautiful,
serene-looking brown haired woman at his door.
"I'm terribly sorry," she began, "but I don't know where I am,
and I seem to have lost my way..." Link let her in gladly.

Belle was irked, and reasonably so. The boy she'd come across
had been so rude! She came in the back door she shared with her
oldest friend and dropped her stuff on the table, then she
started toward the other room. That is, until she heard voices.
Belle poked her head around the doorway and saw Link talking to
a pretty brunette girl. Belle smiled.

Link closed the door, keeping out the cold. He led the
brown-haired girl into the kitchen. "Here, hand me your cloak,"
he said gently, "and let me get you a warm blanket." The girl
smiled. "Thank you," she replied. "Where am I?"
Link chuckled. "Why, you're in the Winter Woods. It is a
dangerous place to be lost, you know."
Padme sighed. He was just like the others. Always trying to be
sweet to a pretty girl...not once caring for someone not so
pleasing to the eye. She should have disguised herself...
Link turned to her with the food and blanket. She smiled up at
him blankly.
Tinkerbell rushed through the woods with Lucy, desperate to find
Edmund and Padme. I know we are disobeying his orders,
but...there could be something far more dangerous that we
realize out here...
Link tried his best to get up. Unfortunately, gravity seemed to
be against him. He looked around, trying to understand what
happened. For some reason, he couldn't recall. He had been
happily reading by the fireplace one moment, and the next he was
on the ground, a knife in his chest. Fortunately for him, a
defect at birth moved his heart over a few inches, so the blade
did not kill him. At least, not yet...the blood was seeping
through his clothing...but what was this? He was wearing his
robe? He could have sworn he wasn't when he was reading. He only
put his robe on when he opened a door or a window...what was
going on?

It didn't take long for Edmund to notice his tiny follower.
"Tinkerbell," he cried. "What are you doing here? I told you to
stay with Lucy."
"Sorry," she tittered, "but I had to let you know that Lucy's
memory is gone."
Edmund's heart stopped. "Gone?" The pixie nodded quietly. The
boy reserved himself quickly. "Go back to her, keep her out of
danger. I'll find Padme and find out why she ran off." He ran
off without waiting for her response.

Belle witnessed little of what happened after Link and the girl
started talking because she busied herself in the kitchen to
give them some privacy. But she ended up blacking out. When she
came to, there was blood seeping from a wound on her shoulder.
She spotted an arrow lodged into the table in front of her.
"Link!" she cried, panicking. "Link!"

Tinkerbell flew as fast as she could back to Lucy. What can you
remember? she asked softly. Lucy struggled. "I rescued
Edmund...there was another girl too, I think....He went off to
get food...and then he came back and you told me I had
experienced memory loss..."
Tinkerbell sighed. At least her memory wasn't fully swiped. She
was just missing the time when Ed and Tink went to find food. So
what happened? Was there an attack? Perhaps a magical creature
took the young, brown-haired girl...
Meanwhile, Padme walked slowly into the nearby village. She
looked around and found the marketplace. As she entered, she saw
a shop selling some tasty looking food. When she pulled the hood
of her cloak back, she took the form of a ugly old woman,
twisted with age. She looked up at the market owner sadly.
"Please, sir, may I have just a taste of your goods? I am only a
poor, old woman, and I will die soon. I would greatly enjoy the
taste of something wonderful before I leave this earth."
The market keeper gave her one look and turned away, ignoring
her. Padme heaved a sigh. Yet another pig-headed man. To verify
her suspicion, she tried once again in her natural form. He was
more than happy to give her a small taste of the warm, delicious
food he was selling. She smiled up at him with big, blank eyes.

Zelda had urgent news for Link and she needed his assitance for
this mission. She ran to his home in the winter woods. She
knocked twice and opened the door to see the horrifying picture
of her best friend on the floor with a knife in his chest! She
ran to him and ripped the knife right out and took out her
bottle of blue potion and lifted his head so he could drink it.
His wound quickly formed back to his normal state and Link began
to blink his eyes opened.
"what happened?!" Zelda cried. "If I had come any later you
would have died!"
