AlterIWNet has released Modern Warfare 2 for free quite a while
ago now and are currently working on porting single player maps
to the multiplayer!
This means that the multiplayer will have at least 5 more maps
to enjoy!
The game is free for download and does not require registration.

Parallels Desktop 7 or VM Fusion would solve your Mac problems.
