occupation of oil patches with iphone or samsung tab

May be it's well known by you guys, but i just found out, that
if I'm playing on my samsung tab i am able to occupay 3×4 oil
patches instead of 3x3 if i play BN on my iphone.
Who is playing on what device and what size patches should we
build? (Not that I have much space left for 3x4 patches :D )
Maybe i ask the guy above me in guild list what he prefers...

CK, I play on ipad, nexus HDX, and Samsung galaxy s3.
I've noticed the s3 and droid let me occupy a 3x4 at times. The
nexus will not allow my occupations to be next to each other
though. So there is a lost row between my occupations. Are you
getting this with the tab?

House, YES! you are right - if we would go for 3x4 the gap is a
must have or else the occupation false - I guess I stick with
3x3 anyway ;)
