       So Matt and I where just invading each others base for a while
       "roleplaying" (Don't you worry Matt as soon as my plasma units
       rank up and increase numbers you'll see them on your base as
       well plus more hefty repair cost units)
       Back to the topic, he invaded me with 2 ranged fragments and
       some other strong units. After trying it with lousy/weak random
       units i got tired of it and put 3 Ef's R4, 4 mechs R7 in. The
       result was 1 mech died and the 2 ranged fragments (Rank 6)
       defeated without doing to much damage.
       Later on we were talking about the mech being the most powerful
       unit in game to date. I said the melee would be even easier
       since it can be frozen whereas the ranged is only able to be
       stunned so no extra damage will be dealt while it is under the
       effect, so to prove my point I killed the "Boss" formation on
       Jamezbooka's land, this is after the second turn. 44 hp left and
       still frozen
       The damage you see that almost killed a mech is the vertical SUV
       attack FYI

       Are both AS frags immune to the weapon tech's crush ability?

       They are both not immune to either of the Weapons tech moves.
       The reason why I did not use them is because they are even
       cheaper (in the sense of being a N00B) to use than the Mech
       trooper. I mean 4x the damage, what is not a OHKO at that point?

       If you have a phalanx tank, it is very easy to kill the AS
       frags. The damage type of phalanx tank (piercing) is the best
       type of damage to fight against AS frag. It is also very deadly
       against MT (MT is weak against piercing type of damage too).
       However, phalanx seems not too good against plasma tanks I think
       so the "best" unit depends on what you are fighting against.
