"Wonderful! I'll tell you, I'm great for birthdays and
graduations. Can even set up a face painting stall whenever I'm
not distracted with riding a unicycle and swallowing swords. One
stallion circus this one." The pegasus claimed, brushing off
nothing from his shoulder. "Be sure to spread the word about me
around your circle of friends. Since I'm newly arrived, I'll
give discounts until my name gets out and my schedule fills up."
Having his gaze find his empty mug for a brief moment, Darrus
was reminded of a certain something. "Say, you guys keep a local
cider around these parts, right? I've heard about it, and I was
hoping to get a taste at some point while I was around. Do you
carry it? Sweet Apple I believe the name of it is, from that
       farm you mentioned."

Lamplight laughs, much more heartily this time. "I'm sure you'll
be swimming in customers by the end of the week!" Her smile
fades a little whe he asks about the Sweet Apple cider, though.
"I'm sorry, I never have any of that left this time of year. it
always goes so fast and I don't get a lot to begin with." Most
of the ponies that came through here ended up asking about it,
and she hates having to disappoint them. "I've got some cider
from Appleloosa that's almost as good though."

"Try the end of the day!" Darrus tags on before having his hopes
of cider be crushed a bit. None in stock. Darn. He guessed he
must have just happened to show up around this town when it was
put of season. Having his broad smile downgrade to a small fake
one to mask his disappointment, Darrus sighed and nodded,
sliding the empty mug he had between his hooves. "Appleoosa,
huh?" He said, it being rather clear in his voice that the other
cider wasn't nearly as interesting. It didn't take a genius to
figure out why the "almost as good" stuff was still available.
"Can't say I've heard stories from ponies away about that
cider..." Eh... He probably couldnt afford it anyway... Slowly
spinning in his stool to lean back against the bar just as he
had when he entered, the stallion took in a deep breath as he
scanned the other ponies present, him then putting on a smirk
and leaning his head back to look at the owner of the
establishment over his shoulder. "Hey, Miss, things ever get
       rowdy around here?"

As expected, Darrus looks quite put out by the news that there
wasn't any Sweet Apple cider. Lamplight new very well that
"almost as good" didn't really help much, though most ponies who
actually opted for it did end up enjoying it. "It's the same
recipe, and the same family, there's just something special
about Sweet Apple Acres apples that puts their cider above the
rest." She says with a shrug. Seems he didn't want any of the
"less good" stuff. When the pegasus spins around, she takes a
moment to glance around at the rest of the room. One of the
tables would need would probably be wanting more drinks soon. At
Darrus next question, Lamplight gives him an ever so slightly
suspicious look. "Not often, maybe try one of the more popular
places if that's the sort of thing you're looking for." She
answers, her voice carrying a hint of warning.

"So, its rare for anypony to come in here and start tossing
chairs around then?" Darrus continued, his smirk only becoming
slightly stronger from the tone of warning used by the mare.
"Nopony comes in and start drinking your strongest stuff then
ends up dancing on the counter and relentlessly flirting with
you? Surely there must be some moments we're a patron managed to
somehow find a bucket of paint and slap some grafitti on the
side of the building praising the 'son and mun'. If not then I
just don't know how you can get through the day... I've only
heard of this tavern too, so what other more popular places are
there? This spot seems popular enough."

Lamplight's eyes narrow slightly as she watches Darrus, wary of
the stallion deciding to cause trouble in order to 'spice things
up' or some such nonsense. "Flirting I get more of, and I have
had to deal with graffiti a few times. But I don't get many
fights." She says, in a tone that makes it clear she wants to
keep it that way. "As for more popular places, you could try the
Drunken Eagle a few blocks from here, that place is always
       more... rowdy."

"I bet you do," he said with a wink, "and hopefully the graffiti
was at least well done before it was removed, but a bar that
doesn't get many fights? Me thinks you should stock some shinier
bottles. Or perhaps some less shiny ones... Hmm..." At her
continued message of warning in her voice, Darrus only kept up
his smirk. "A few blocks? Why, that's much too far away for me
to get too in time. By the time I reach it I'll probably not
want to cause trouble since I've have had time to walk it off.
Besides, I don't think I'd want to go to a place called 'the
Drunken Eagle'. I mean, what good is a drunken eagle? It
definitely wouldn't be able to get off the ground when
intoxicated, and most surely would never be able to fly like
that. Flying while under the influence can be a pretty dumb idea
too. I would know. But 'the Guiding Light'? That's the kind of
name for a place that I think should draw them in. Especially
ponies like me who can sometimes use a bit of guidance while out
       there wandering around.
"Also, you're really easy to mess with aren't you?" He added
with a small chuckle. "Relax. I haven't had nearly enough of
this cheap stuff to start breaking things. Though, if you dared
       me..."

"I'd call getting few fights a success." Lamplight retorts,
still eyeing the vagabond suspiciously. She wasn't exactly sure
he wanted to make trouble. Those that had before hadn't really
been vocal about their intentions. But still, his smirk and
flippant attitude about it made her unsure just what he was
really planning. At Darrus question about the bar she'd
mentioned's name, the orange mare just shrugged. "Couldn't tell
you, I've never been there." Was all she had to say about that
place, though she had heard it was frequented by some
less-than-savory ponies. Lamplight just sighs at Darrus'
admitting he was only joking, though she does relax a little.
"It wouldn't be the first time somepony came in here looking for
trouble, drink or no." She replies, and for a moment her eyes
find a dark blue stallion sitting at one of the tables with his
friends. Deciding that this subject was best dropped, the
innkeeper does her best to put her smile back on. "So, what
brings you to Ponyville anyway, if you aren't here to stir up
       trouble?"

"Well, if you've never been there, than how could e be sure its
a bar and not just some really odd, and most likely bored, or
maybe funny, bird watching club?" Darrus offered jokingly,
lightly drumming his hooves against the counter after another
spin on his stool. "Maybe we could just assume its an aviary
that always keeps its birds drunk and flying in circles." So,
the place was usually calm, but has had ponies come in with the
intent of causing a ruckus in the past? Darrus found himself
hoping a little bit that he just happened to find this place on
one of those rare days. "Oh, I never said I wasn't here to stir
up trouble, just that I haven't had enough 3 bit ale for it
       yet."
He kept up his non serious attitude as the conversation moved
forward, the Pegasus trying to work out in his head whether or
not it would be worth losing a few more of his very small number
of bits in order to get another mug of drink. "My wings brought
me to Ponyville, and their whining about it is keeping me here.
But, since I'm stuck for a bit, I have found a few things I'm
hoping to do and or try around here before moving on. For
example, that cider I mentioned. Can't come to the town it comes
from just to skip before having a taste, right? So I need to get
me some of that, as well as fine some work so I have something
to do while searching and what not. There's plenty of room in my
schedule for any other instances of funsies if you happen to
know anything of interest going on around town? Maybe some of
the less well known but still worth the walk places?"

Lamplight chuckles slightly at Darrus' suggestion that the
Drunken Eagle might in fact be a very strange aviary. "Or
maybe..." She says, leaning forward over the bar a little. "And
hear me out on this, I know it's crazy... Maybe the guy just
owns a bar and has a pet eagle." She pulls back, now just
standing behind the counter again. Though he's clearly joking,
she's still glad he hasn't decided to get more ale so far. Even
if Darrus wasn't really looking to cause trouble, he seems the
sort to get into it anyway with enough drink in him. "You'll be
here for a while then, the cider doesn't usually get made until
late fall." She says, glancing over his shoulder again. "As for
interesting things, there isn't a lot here in Ponyville, unless
you're really into bowling or nightclubs." She turns her eyes to
a nearby window, briefly watching ponies walk past outside.
"Although... you'd be surprised how many crazy things happen
here. We are right next to the Everfree after all. Seems like
sometimes we can't go a week without a rain of frogs or bunny
       stampede or something happening."
