Snowflake shook her head as Schwambart attempted to joke about a
broken funny bone being an actual injury, "Nah nah nah, love, ya
cawn' break no bones wi' words, even if ya joke was bad. Oi'm

       record'a wot I broke, an' Oi rememb'r each an e'rry one'a them."
Looking back to Crescendo as he said he would want to come with
the both of them to the Stalliongrad Mountains for a vacation,
she winced a little in thought as she did her best to explain,
"Well... ahhh... ya see, love, Oi'm no' jus' goin' there for a
vacation. Oi -work- on tha' l'il mountain as ski patrol, an' Oi
dun' do much vacationin'. If ya wanna come along, i's awll foine

is a party though, there's a party, an' a party on a mountaintop
is diff'rent from a party down 'ere, believe me."
After the waitress came back to collect the tab, Snowflake spoke
up again, saying, "Well, Oi'd say tha' will 'ave t'be awll for
today. I dun' mean nothin' by i', bu' Oi cawn' really jus' si'

stood up, after she said that, nodding to the door before
saying, "Roigh', was a pleasure meetin' ya, Crescentfresh." She
then started to lead the way out of the club, looking back to
see if Schwambart was following her.

Crescendo listened interestedly as Snowflake and Schwambart
spoke, laughing just a little too loudly at his joke, and
Snowflake's far more dark response, the grey stallion only
regaining his composure a few seconds later, as he stifled a
       yawn.
"Hmm? Oh! Okay, cool.. Heehee, Cool.. On second thoughts, I
might just be there for the parties, if they're as awesome as
you say, but it sounds a little expensive to stay up there and
ski-board.." Crescendo replied, his tired chuckle, and ever more
slurred words, making it clear he was about done for the night,
and wasn't thinking all that clearly.
Hearing that the pair of them were leaving, Crescendo pouted a
little, before shrugging and waving them goodbye with a grin,
clearly not all that upset, and glad to have had a chat for a
       little while.
"Ah, it's no problem.. Have a good night, Schambart, Snow!" He
spoke up, giving them a cheery wave, before he settled back in
his chair with a sigh, humming along with the rhythm of the song
that filled the club with sound, and dancing ponies.

"Hmph. Well you obviously didn't hear the joke, or you'd know
how painful it was. But...that's your break list, huh?
Sounds..." He shivers. "...painful. All those
bones...including the *actual* funny bone. Me, I wouldn't have
any to cross off." He's had a fairly calm life, and he's sure
some would call it boring. Oh well. He pays their tab with a
smile and a "Have a wonderful night" to the waitress...which is
really something for the customer to hear, not say, but he's in
the habit. "Yeah, not sure how I feel about this place right
now. May come back later, who knows? Nice to meet you,
Crescendo poco a poco," he says to the other pegasus with a
tipped salute of his wing before following Snow out.
"So," he starts when they've gotten out of the club, cringing as
he talks maybe a wee bit too loud. He starts over again,
quieter. "So. All those bones, huh? I didn't look too
closely, but there weren't a lot of bones that weren't accounted
for. How much does that hurt? And are there bones that hurt
       more or less?"

Hex stands at the door, hesitating for a moment. He'd checked
and double-checked the address he'd copied from the letter his
twin brother had sent, and this was indeed the place indicated.
It's just, there doesn't seem to be any sign of anypony up and
around... Then again, that's what he gets for getting here so
late at night. Not that his twin would be in bed at this time of
night usually, but that may have changed since he started living
       with somepony else.
He shifts the pack slung over his right shoulder before
knocking. It might a tad quieter than he means to knock, but he
doesn't want to disturb those that might be sleeping. Oh well,
he can always knock again after another minute or two.
He runs his hoof through his forest-green mane, careful to avoid
knocking it into the glasses perched on his nose. His coloring
close enough to his twin's that they could be passed off as the
same pony at first glance, provided you didn't look too close at
the face, manestyle, or the fact that one has wings and the
       other doesn't.
He stands pensively in front of the door for anothe minute
before knocking, a little louder this time. Oh, please answer.
He doesn't know where else he could look, and Celestia forbid
that he actually have to ask somepony where to go. How could he
       handle that?

       Date: February 14, 2014, 12:31 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
It was getting pretty late as the two of them walked down the
streets of Ponyville towards the flat that they shared. It was
partially cloudy outside, and the stars were somewhat visible,
and deathly quiet compared to the loud interior of the
nightclub. Snowflake walked beside Schwambart, blinking a little
as he asked how much a broken bone hurts. Surely knew, there
wasn't a single pony she knew who didn't break a bone in their
whole life, except maybe younger kids who still hadn't live long
enough to try something stupid. Trying to figure out some sort
of way to explain how a broken bone feels, she tried to remember
one of her more recent breaks, where she broke her left hind leg
when she landed a jump awkwardly.
Then again, there was still a little bit of testing that Snow
still had yet to do with Schwambart and his social awkwardness.
May as well start his testing off right, now that she was his
relationship tutor. As Snow started talking, she walked in
rather close proximity to Schwambart, looking to see what he
would do with her walking so close. She had given him permission
to put his wing over her before, so now this would have to be a
measure of his initiative. Was he going to remember what she
allowed him to do and work up the courage to repeat his actions
without her permission, or was he going to continue to be
       submissive and shy around her?
"Le's see... 'ow do Oi e'splain this... Well, there was this one
toime I was in'na t'rain park up on'na mountains, snow 'adn'
been groom'd in a whoile so there were these li'l ruts
everywhere in the powd'r, 's'pecially on th' landin's of these
jumps 'ere. Oi was troi'in t'loine up a jump from'a shahkfin
rail t'th'ba'leship, bu' there was this reeeeally deep rut where
e'rrybody else was landin' off th'shahkfin, an Oi landed agains'
tha' rut an' broke moi back leg 'ere," she gave the leg in
question a little shake before continuing, "... i's loike, ya
dun' feel i' a' firs' 'cause i's so shockin' for a secon' or
two, an' then i' awll comes t'ya loike a toidal wave. I's koinda

ya can ge', but waaay more dangerous. Oi'd compare i'
t'somethin' else, but Oi dunno wot yer mos' painful e'sperience
       was."
They neared the flat in question, not quite able to see Hex yet,
but as soon as they would get off the stairs on the floor, he
would be in sight. Meanwhile, she asked Schwambart, "Wot's yer
       worst injury there?"

Schwambart's blush steadily returns as they walk. She's awfully
close, and he doesn't quite expect that to happen after the way
he acted in the club. After a minute or two, his wing fluffs up
before retreating. Remembering what had happened the first time
he'd succeeded, he's much more ginger and tentative, slowly
draping his wing over her, barely touching. Well, it's a start
       at least.
He flinches when she describes the way she broke her leg,
accidentally tightening his hold on her for a moment before
forcing it to relax again. "Yikes...fun. I don't imagine it's
very easy to get around with one of your legs in a cast, hind
ones least of all." He takes a moment to think about that.
Well, it's not like there's any leg that isn't used pretty
extensively in walking...and flying wouldn't really be that
pleasant with a broken leg either, unless it's held against your
body by a sling or something for support.
"The worst I've ever had? Oh...let's see..." Not a lot. Hmm,
falling down some stairs, jammed hoof playing
hoofball..."Probably one of two, I think. Neither landed me in
a hospital. Once when I was about 14 or so I got ahold of my
brother's skateboard and took it down the street and tried to
learn to ride it. I ended up unable to slow down and I
panicked, popping out my wings, which stopped me. But it only
stopped my top, and I didn't have the presence of mind to take
off, so I just kinda...swung around backward and hit my head on
the pavement." His wing has tightened around her again, and he
loosens it again. "Went home, cried for a bit because it hurt
like the dickens, and it was all better the next day. The other
time I was in my second year of school and was messing around on
the playground, not being very smart. I don't recall precisely
what I was doing, but I went down, woke up a moment or two
later. I thought I'd just landed on my back, but my left front
ankle," he waggles it as they begin ascending the staircase,
"was in way a lot of pain, and I could hardly use it for about
two weeks after that, but didn't get sent to the hospital or
anything. In fact, I've never been to the hospital except for
       checkups and a visit when-"
He stops speaking when they reach the floor with the flat on it,
seeing somepony at the door. It doesn't take long for him to
recognize him, seeing as how he's known him for approximately
his entire lifetime up to this point, give or take. When he
does recognize him, his wing retracts from Snow nearly
instantaneously, and his blush flares up dramatically, leaving
him looking like a foal who'd been caught with his hoof in the
cookie jar. "H-hex," he stammers out before stepping forward, a
wide grin on his face. He flaps a wing at his twin, blowing his
mane back. "Wh-what are you d-doing here? Come to mooch off of
your generous, rich brother?" he jokes, fully aware of the fact
that his brother has more money than him.

Hex stands in front of the door another undisclosed amount of
time. He's pretty nervous at this point. Did he get the wrong
place? Was he asleep? Did he know he was coming and vacate the
premises? He snickers under his breath. Good ol' dad.
He had almost screwed up his courage enough that he could knock
on the door again when he heard footsteps and a feminine
accented voice coming from the stairs. Already nervous, he began
to panic slightly as he backed away from the door like a foal
who'd been caught with his hoof in the cookie jar.
He was looking around, too busy contemplating possible escape
routes ("Hmm, if there's only two of them, I may be able to make
it around them... but if they're carrying weapons, that could be
too risky... Is there a balcony I could jump off of? Maybe I can
get them to leave me alone by sheer pity by breaking my leg when
I jump off...") to pay attention to the stallion's voice that
follows until he hears it speak his name.
He turns his head around in time to get a faceful of air that
displaces his mane slightly. The grin he returns at his brother
freezes slightly as he catches sight of the icy-blue mare behind
him. This must be that mare he was staying with. He returns his
full gaze back to his real-life reflection. "Well, Arry, I was
just passing through, and decided maybe you've developed enough
charm to spare, if a pretty pony like that consents to your
       company."

Upon reaching the floor that their flat resided on, Snow
immediately noticed the other, similarly coloured pony standing
in front of the front door, a little unsure as Capella seemed to
stop in the middle of his explanation of his 'injuries', if she
could even call them that. Judging from how well the two seemed
to get along with each other, and the fact that Capella outright
called the new pony his brother, these two were related to each
other. But of course the one thing that seemed to give away the
family resemblance was this stallion's little bit of 'freezing'
upon looking at Snow as well. For a few seconds, Snow wondered
briefly if the entire family was really just a bunch of socially
awkward ponies who couldn't be around another strange mare, but
was at least somewhat proven wrong when the new stallion spoke
up, complimenting Snowflake as he greeted his brother. Very
smooth, 'Arry' could stand to learn a bit from his brother as
       well.
That was no joke either. The fact that Capella seemed to
suddenly retract his wing from her in the sight of his brother
was a huge let-down, and if they were actually dating, Snow
might have been offended. She would have to be sure to let him
know not to do that in the presence of other ponies, especially
family. Mares like to feel that their coltfriends are proud to
show off their marefriends to society, and this display was the
exact opposite of that. Oh well, she had a thick skin, she could
deal with his social incompetence like she always did, but due
to the presence of his brother, and the undetermined amount of
time as of yet that he'd be staying, of course, assuming he was
staying since it was very late outside to get a hotel room, the
dating lessons that she promised Cappy would likely have to be
       held off for a while.
Now that she was free from Capella's wing, seeing as he
retracted his wing at the immediate sight of this pony,
Snowflake walked forward and to the door, fishing for her keys
as she said, "Oi dunno, love," Snow began, speaking towards the
newer stallion, "chap's go' th'wit an' charm, bu' pu' 'im in
front of a girl an' tell 'im t'flirt wi' 'er, an' he cawn' do i'
t'save 'is loife. Least you go' th'chops t'troi." Giving Hex a
coy wink, she unlocked the door, pushing it open as she stepped
inside, "C'mon in then, Cappy nev'r told me 'is fam'ly was
       comin' t'pay a visit, so don' pay moind t'much'a th'mess. D'ja
wanna cuppa tea? Oi'm sure ol' Cappy 'ere would love t'tell ya

she led the way inside, turning on the lights as she walked into
the kitchen to set the kettle back on the stove to heat up some
       water.

talking more than a few seconds and he was already making him

So what is the story on that, Agon?" he says, pushing Hex in
after Snow with a wing as he tries to gloss over the nightclub
mention, messing with his mane in the process but not his
glasses. He steps in behind him and swings the door shut,
looking to get something normal down his throat as he makes a
       beeline for the kitchen.
"Oh," he says, stopping at the threshold between the main room
and kitchen. "Snow, this is my twin brother, Hex. I may have

probably mentioned her in my letter. I've seen some sparks

Hex blushes somewhat at the wink thrown his way, but keeps his
face carefully neutral aside from his still-thawing grin. "I'm
not sure I'd call what I was doing flirting; just trading barbs

       Ponyville. That I know of."
He allows his twin to get him into the room and stands near the

about a mess? This is, like, twice as good as our house would
look if Celestia were to show up." He opens his mouth to say
more (Cappy went to a nightclub? What?) until he is so RUDELY
interrupted by the stallion in question. He shoots his twin a
sly grin at his quips, not fazed by them in the slightest, and
decides to let his interruption slide... for the moment.
"Pleasure to meet you, Miss Snowflake", he says, inclining his
head in the direction of his hostess. He turns back to Capella.
"Not much a story to tell, really. I was just on my way through
Ponyville on my way to Canterlot. The train was a little late
arriving, otherwise I would have crashed your apartment at a
much more reasonable hour." He loosens the collar slightly on
the white polo shirt he's wearing. He doesn't seem to be making
any moves into the rest of the residence. "I wasn't planning on
staying, but... well, it's a little late to go out and try to
find another place to spend the night.
"Speaking of stories, though, sounds like you should have quite
