Darrus sighed as they reached the tavern. Great. If her tone was
any indication, it seemed he'd once again offended the mare.
Chances seemed pretty slim now of them having a friendly
relationship, but that was just another lesson the stallion had
been taught during his time running and flying around the
country. Not everypony could be friends with everypony else,
despite the teaching of the Princess up at the capitol. Still,
maybe, if she was willing to give it a chance, he could possibly
make it so she didn't glare at him whenever they passed each
other on the street? Was worth a try at least.
"Thanks for the help," he began by showing proper gratitude for
her assistance, his own tone trying again to sound upbeat,
"probably would have taken me a couple hours of circling the
town from the sky to find this place myself. There are only two
other things I need you for, then you can just ignore me for the
rest of my time here if you want. First, I need directions to
that farm that makes the cider. I'm going to start listening for
work once I go inside, but if that place is my best place to
start actually looking then I'd greatly appreciate some quick
       points of the hoof.
"And second, while it doesn't really sound like you'd be very
into it now, I wanted to invite you to that game of Break the
Bottle if you were at all interested? Now that we've found the
tavern, we've got plenty of bottles after all..."

Honey just offered a simple nod in response to Darrus' thanks
for her assistance, before staring at him with a blank,
half-lidded expression when he continued. Of course there was
more. Why wouldn't there be? His first request was simple, at
least. The farm was easy enough to find and give directions to.
She only hoped Applejack had more luck dealing with this
stallion than she did. Then, an invitation for her to play Break
the Bottle with him. Really? Why?
Deciding not to think too hard about it, she simply shook her
head at the invitation. "There would be no point. Besides, as I
said earlier, it would be unfair to you. So no thanks. As for
the farm, it will be easy for you to find since you are a
pegasus. Fly up and look for the large orchard of apple trees,
in that direction," she said, pointing to one of the edges of
town. "I am going to spend time with family. Goodbye," she said,
       now turning to walk away.

With a sigh, Darrus shrugged off the mares blunt refusal of his
invitation, now convinced that she was probably going to try to
forget he even existed. Oh well. "It wouldn't have been fair for
you." He replied loud enough for her to hear him as she walked
away, "Ranged accuracy. That's my talent. Was going to just keep
it secret until the game to surprise you. As a joke. For fun."
Whatever, she was probably ignoring him now anyway so talking
was probably going to get him nowhere. Turning around, the
stallion left her to follow up on her desire to see her family,
Darrus himself headed for the tavern for a quick stop before
heading out to look for the orchard mentioned to him.
