Lickety Split

Name: Lickety Split.
Race: Unicorn.
Gender: Mare.
Age: 19.
Physical Description: Lickety is a rather short, rather chubby
unicorn mare, with a puffy, curly and candy-cane striped mane,
soft, mint green coat, and bright and expressive hot pink eyes.
Most all of her body is quite chubby and, as she would call it,
huggable, making her a rather hefty mare for her smaller than
average height. Still, there's something oddly attractive about
her, and although her weight keeps her from being conventionally
beautiful, her features and personality are rather pretty, and
could easily be described as cute.
Her cutie mark takes the form of an oversized lollipop of her
coat and eye colour, with a smiley face in the centre of the
enormous sweet.
Special Talent: The creation of sweets of all kinds, as well as
their sale. She claims it's about bringing joy to as many ponies
as possible through the medium of confectionary, nevermind the
cavities.
Likes: Making candy, selling candy, eating candy, smelling
candy, giving candy to others, hugs, making friends, most foods,
inventing new types of sweets, and making ponies happy.
Dislikes: Exercising for long periods, responsibility, being
insulted or bullied, dieting, going hungry for too long, flying.
Strengths: Surprisingly fast for her bulk, allowing her to zip
around easily, although only in short bursts before she grows
tired. Lickety is also a rather powerful magic-user, although
most of the spells she uses tend to be related to food or sweets
in some way or another, many other spells having been declared
too boring to bother learning. Obviously, she has mastered the
art of creating confectionary of all kinds, and is a reasonably
good baker and cook as well, although savoury food isn't really
her thing.
Weaknesses: Overall, apart from her hyperactive bursts of speed,
Lickety is physically unimpressive. She's heavy, she cannot
exercise for long without getting fatigued, and she's not
particularly strong. Her greatest problem is probably her
naivety. She tries her very best to see the good things in
everypony around her, and trusts others absolutely even after
only a few meetings. She's also too naïve to understand many
important things such as relationships or sexuality, deriding
many of these things as too boring or confusing, and choosing to
ignore them, the end result being that she acts rather like an
overgrown filly, albeit a very kind, caring and friendly one.
Fears: Flying, heights, her shop losing popularity or going out
of business.
Bio: Lickety was raised as the only child of her mother, a
pegasus candy-maker called Gumdrop, and a father who she never
knew, as he left both of them shortly after Lickety was born.
The end result of this, was that Lickety ended up a rather
spoiled child (luckily with many friends, due to the candy she
always had to share), quickly developing a love for the candy
her mother made, and putting on weight that she would never
quite be able to remove, no matter how hard she tried. She never
did particularly well in school, and often fell prey to bullies
due to her weight and childishness, leading to her instinctive
fear and hatred of all forms of bullying. After graduating from
the school system with unimpressive results, she worked as an
assistant in her mother's store until her mother died in a
flying accident whilst delivering a package of sweets to a
customer within the city. Alone, unsure of what to do with her
life, Lickety inherited her mother's shop, and, deciding that,
as she had realized years earlier, her talents lay with the
creation of sweets and the spreading of happiness, she renovated
and reopened the shop as her own, continuing to make and sell
sweets as her mother had before her. The reopening of the shop
was a grand success, and Lickety's sweets, and the gumdrops her
mother was so known for in years prior, soon became popular once
more. Lickety still lives and works there now, churning out
sweets of all kinds, to fill orders or requests, or to sell in
the attached lolly-shop.
Extra Details: Lickety owns Lickety Split's Sweets and Treats, a
rather impressive and successful lolly-shop in Canterlot, which
sells damn near every type of confectionary in existence,
including several which she herself, and her mother before her,
invented.
