It took just about everything in Richtor's power to stop himself
from busting out laughing at the spectacle that unfolded before
him. The ever resounding argument was reminiscent of many a
quarrel that the stallion had overhead in the past, and just as
every bit as serious as the pair eventually moved onto dirty
mud-slinging and threats against one another. And every single
one of them had one, corrupt thing in common: Power. Whether it
be for monetary gain, an elevation in status, or even something
as simple as bartering land, the lust for power seemed to blind
many of Canterlot's 'upper crust', as they collectively called
themselves. Of course, not even one thing could be solved easily
as all three examples could certainly tie in with each other,
and more often than not, neither party would be willing to back
down. Thus, Richtor found the ensuing argument quite
entertaining, although he did feel some measure of pity for
those that refused to compromise or look past the other's
differences...
Pen's sudden exclamation forced Richtor to finally avert his
gaze, his eyes travelling quickly along point to where the
assistant had pointed. The stallion's ears pinned back for a
moment, carefully searching around the statue for the cause of
her commotion before his attention was ripped away once more by
Celestia's short farewell before the Princess promptly vanished
from sight. "Thank-" Richtor started a hair too late, his mouth
hanging open for a moment as he simply stared at the vacant
spot. "You... Well then, this night is certainly full of
surprises. How about we-" The stallion was interrupted once
again by the sound of approaching hoof-steps, soon identified as
one of the problematic ponies that had wandered over to
investigate. Richtor forced a fake smile, almost tasting the
disappointment of the pony's single word before he turned to
resume his argument. Quite the gentlecolt... Quite the
gentlecolt, indeed...
Richtor dismissed the thought as Honey Dew stepped in a bit
closer, his hoof now automatically draping over the mare's side
if she was near enough. "I have a rather high distaste for
ponies who act in such a manner. If it were up to me, I'd just
have them play Equestrian Chess or something; winner contracts a
compromise. Or, if they wanted to do it the hard way, have one
hold title-ship to the land and open trade for services and
goods while the other capitalizes on said services and goods,
boosting monetary gain, opening more job markets, and improve
their economy. With a few wise investments, the other may choose
to buy back some of the land, causing any and all progress to
become retroactive for the other. Quite simple if they would
only learn how to move past the I saw it first! stage of
things..." The stallion blinked, momentarily losing himself in
his thoughts before pulling Honey Dew in even closer, offering a
short nuzzle in return before his ears suddenly perked up at the
mare's suggestions. He pondered audibly to himself, his mind not
quite off the topic of Princess Luna. "How about this... We can
check to see if Luna is available. If she is, we could stick
around and chat for a bit, and then a dance from my favorite
mare before we head out. If she isn't, well..." Richtor smiled,
bowing a bit. "The more time for us to dance the night away.~"

Honey looked over to Richtor as he responded to her question,
pulling away just enough that she could admire his features. She
didn't know why, but she just found him so handsome. Everything
about him just seemed to mix in a way just perfect enough that
it made her want to stare at him all day and run her hoof over
his coat. Only a day, and she couldn't deny that she was quite
smitten with the stallion whose hoof was wrapped lovingly around
her shoulders, and that he was making her experience so many
strange but wonderful sensations. When Richtor mentioned that
Princess Luna not being available would only mean more time to
dance with her, Honey giggled quietly, wearing a playfully coy
smile as she turned away slightly. "Richtor~... At this rate
you're going to spoil me. And then I just won't be any good,"
she teased, turning back to him just enough that she could show
him her half-grin to indicated she was only joking.
"Seriously, though... It's only been a day, and you're... just
so wonderful. Certainly not like most stallions I've met so far.
You make me feel so special~," she purred, planting another kiss
on Richtor's cheek before gently tugging him forward. "Come
on... Let's go check in on Princess Luna. I just hope the
promise of our dance won't distract me too much." She nestled up
against him once they began moving again, gladly taking
enjoyment from the contact that was still foreign to her.
"You're quite intelligent, too... You sounded like you had some
suitable ideas for their predicament. I can't say I would've
thought of the same things... Then again, I've never owned land,
so I suppose I have that working against me." Honey sighed, the
noise a happy, wistful one. "Handsome, charming, easy-going,
romantic and intelligent... I really am a lucky mare."
