Name: Rainbow Dash
Race: Pegasus
Gender: Mare
Age: Although they never express her age explicitly in the show,
Rainbow Dash is most likely in her early twenties. *-Perhaps-*
the youngest out of the Six.
Physical Description: Sporting a bright, cerulean coat, bold,
cerise eyes, and a vibrant, multi-colored mane and tail that
corresponds with the very rainbow itself, Dash’s unique physical
traits are extremely hard to miss. Due to her athleticism, she’s
developed a lean, agile frame and powerful wings, capable of
maintaining speed, yet strong enough to change directions on the
fly. Her cutie-mark is a cloud with a slightly curved,
tri-colored lightning bolt.
Special Talent: Dash’s special talent derives from her
unmistakable flying prowess, most notably her impressive speed
as well as the coveted and venerated Sonic Rainboom. Being a
Pegasus, Dash is also responsible for weather manipulation and
helps maintain and control the skies of Ponyville. She has a
knack for using her speed to create daring displays of aerial
acrobatic skills, and will often use them to aid in her weather
duties.
Likes: Taking cat naps, pulling pranks, anything involving the
Wonderbolts, showing off, reading (especially anything Daring Do
related), speed, being competitive, winning, and her pet
tortoise Tank. But we can’t forget her trademark “coolness”,
“awesomeness”, and “radicalness”.
Dislikes: “Girly” things (although she’ll sometimes partake),
being disturbed from her naps, failure in general, especially if
it involves her friends, being restricted to the ground,
bullies, and being scared (although she would never admit it).
Strengths: Dash’s main strength is her speed, averaging at a
more than sizeable 16.5 wing-power. In addition to her raw
speed, she also bears the element of Loyalty, willing to put her
friends and Ponyville in front of her own well-being and even
her very own dreams. When push comes to shove, she will stick by
her friends and support them without fail, often being the first
one up for a fight. Dash is extremely confident in her own
abilities and is capable of impressive feats if applied
correctly. She’s also extremely determined, refusing to give up
once she’s set her mind on something.
Weaknesses: Rainbow Dash’s biggest vice is pride, but she has a
huge ego, and her confidence often rides the fine line between
competent and conceited. She has a tendency to be lazy at times
and also has a bad habit of being rather blunt and stubborn.
Perhaps too much at times. She’s also been known to be a bad
sport, and because she hates losing, Dash will often go to great
lengths to emerge victorious. To her, second place is failure…
Despite her abrasive flaws, Dash’s altruism becomes more
prominent as she learns to come to terms with her shortcomings
through the help of her friends.
Fears: In a few simple word… Failure, and being alone. Above
all, failing her friends… She tries to hide it the best she can,
but if she gets backed up into a metaphorical wall, Dash’s
insecurities will begin to manifest and she will begin to have a
mental breakdown.
