Potato is momentarily blinded by the gleam and before he can
respond to Nivalia, who he noticed had put her snake away, they
reveal themselves to be guards in rather ineffective golden
armor. Seriously, who decided to make golden armor? Gold isn't
useful for more than lame'. Gold breaks if somepony so much as
throws a potato at it. The whole day/night thing between day and
night guards is fine, but giving them heavy, yet soft armor that
cost as much as a house isn't a great idea. Guards are stupid.
Potato blatantly ignores the command of "Halt!", the vegetable
themed superhero not listening to ponies who wear useless yellow
rocks as armor, because again, its stressed that guards are
stupid. Potato trots up behind the guard that's behind the
mysterious figure. The guards are then flung willy nilly, and
the mysterious figure also jumps down. Potato prepares to
follow, yelling out at Nivalia "Come on! We need to jump down
after him!" because jumping from a the roof of a house is a good
idea.

Nivalia keeps running, despite the order from the guard; the
running and concept of disobeying authority causes the mare's
heart to rapidly beat. She approaches the edge of the roof and
looks down. "What am I supposed to jump on!? That's a very high
leap." She looks around, then continues running across the roof,
"I'll be down there in a bit!" Nivalia keeps running across the
roofs, her leaps across them not being the most graceful. As she
follows the two, she begins to lose her footing on some loose
tiling, suddenly slipping and sliding off the edge. Nivalia
reaches her hoof out, catching the railing just in time as she
dangles from the multistory building over an empty street. "AH!
POTATO! HELP!"

Nivalia's sudden cry snaps Foxtrot out of his escape mentality,
automatically he turns to the source and sprints at full speed
to the source. As he circles back he turns the corner to find
the mare dangling by a hoof, "NIV! Hold on!" The unicorn looks
around to find a cart stacked with bales of hay nearby; wasting
no time he charges it and at the last second spins around and
kicks it as hard as he can with his hind hoofs towards the mare.
Nivalia feels herself losing her grip on the railing, "Somepony
ple-" before she can finish, her hoof slips. She screams as she
drops down towards the street; she closes her eyes and expects
the worst. A loud thud is heard as she is surrounded by straws
of hay, landing just in time into the cart as it continues to
roll down the road. Moments later it slams into the side of a
building, Nivalia letting out a startled squeak as she pokes her
head out with pieces of hay sticking out of her mane. "A-am I
dead?"
"Niv!" Foxtrot shouts as he runs over to the slightly busted
cart. When he sees that she's safe, he begins to slow down,
completely stopping to catch his breath as he scans the scene.
"Holy crap Niv. What... What are you doing here!?"
