Sudden Workload
By: Dais Clash Date: August 13, 2014, 7:27 am

Dais trotted through the town with a large smile on his face.
Any personal problems aside, today was a good day, and certainly
a day worth smiling on. As he crossed a bridge over the river
which ran through town, Dais took a moment to pause and take
stock.
"OK, found candidate to do list..." said Dais to himself "Check.
Read book about cartography. Check."
He glanced down at the paper he was carrying. It was, in fact,
the to do list of a local quarray eel, but since it involved
rocks Dais supposed it probably was the one belonging to Carri.
He wasn't sure why Carri would have been gathering her rocks
inside a quarray eel's den, or why the quarray eel had fought
Dais tooth and nail to stop him getting the list, but he did not
suppose it was any of his business.
"Hmm... things still to do..." continued Dais "build new
homeless shelter... find Carri... eat an ice-cream... write next
month's weather schedule..."
"Delivery here for Dais Clash!" announced a mailpony.
Dais took the heavy package, and saw it was marked with about a
dozen "urgent" and "priority" stamps as well as the mayor's hoof
print.
"Mayor said to deliver this one extra hastily" added the
mailpony "Apparently she forgot to give you all this work you
need to do."
Dais groaned loudly. Over in the market he could see an ice
creamer selling all sorts of delicious flavors, and he had to go
back to his office and do paperwork. Let alone all the other
things he still had to do today. He'd probably have to make do
with the doughnut delivery service again. Thanking the mailpony,
he began to wonder if there wasn't some easier way to do work,
while walking sulkily back to the town hall. He really hoped he
would be interrupted along the way. Preferably by a pony with an
ice-cream they could offer Dais if he helped them.
