Ryo was slightly surprised by the sudden brush on her shoulder.
Ryo blushed slightly, knowing who was sitting next to her. She
wiped her eyes with her hoof "Y-yeah... I-i'm sorry... I... I
usually come here alone... I-i didn't want to b-bother you with
this... I just..." Ryo momentarily leaned her head on Mana's
shoulder "Just... Miss them... A lot..."
Ryo remained silent for a moment, before realizing she was
leaning on Mana's shoulder. She got up and noticed the red
streak that was still decorating Mana's armor. Wanting
desperately to lighten the mood, to avoid a complete breakdown,
Ryo smiled and pointed out the obvious "You got something red on
       you..."

"Nah, that's alright, this isn't a bo-" Mana was cut off from
his reassuring that Ryo hadn't gone and ruined his day by having
those pesky "emotions" normal ponies understandably had in this
kind of place when she had rested her head on his shoulder. Was
he supposed to, like, put his hoof around her and try to give
her a comforting hug...? Or would that just be weird? He wanted
to, but his lack of knowledge on how to properly handle these
kinds of things made him hesitant and end up doing little more
than again thank his partner for the prank pulled on him earlier
that had rendered his face red.
       Speaking of...
"Oh, yeah, hehe, I know..." Mana replied to Ryo as she pointed
out the stain splashed across his armor and face, his hoof
moving up and brushing at his cheek as if that would magically
remove the red that planned on staying for a while, "this is
what happens when you let your guard down around certain ponies.
One second I was getting myself ready for work, checking the
polish on my armor and what not, and the next I had stepped
through a door and was suddenly blinded by red. I don't even
know how that springy thing he used worked... Oh, it didn't
somehow get on you or something, did it?" he asked, concerned
for a moment that she had brought it up because somehow the dye
had jumped to her when shed layed her head on his shoulder,
though a quick glance would be enough to lay that fear to rest.

Ryo giggled silently when Mana retold the events that lead to
his red paintwork. "I-it was Thunder's prank... If i remember
right..." She brushed last remains of tears away from her eyes,
before getting up. "Oh no, no, no... D-don't worry... it
didn't..." Ryo said to Mana, offering him a reassuring smile.
"W-were you supposed to go get something for that dye...?" Ryo
asked while lifting her saddlebags back to her back. "To get it
off of you... I-i think we could make that trip if it was
       f-fast..."

A smile tugged at Mana's lips as Ryo dried her tears and smiled
       herself.
"Well..." he replied, glancing back towards the streets at the
mention of finding a solution to his artificially rosy
complexion, "I was going to at some point today go back to the
shop where Thunder found this stuff at and see if the mare who
made it could help with some kind of remover, but I'm not sure
how fast of a trip it would be. We could make a quick visit just
to figure out whether or not it could be fixed at all, or pick
up something that might be on hoof for just such an occasion as
this, I won't exactly make you sit around with me if it needs to
be brewed up on the spot, but we don't have to do any of that
right now and risk you missing your train if you don't want. I
can do it whenever after all. So what's the plan? A quick jog
through town to visit an alchemist to fix my face, or head back
       to the train station?"

"M-maybe we should visit this alchemist then... W-we still have
time..." Ryo said, ready to follow Mana. This would also give
her a little more time to spend with the guard, before she has
       to leave Canterlot.

"Alright. Shouldn't be too far nor eat up much time to reach if
we keep a strong spring in our step." Standing up and resisting
the urge to do a quick hoof pump over Ryo having decided to
linger a little longer, Mana brushed off a bit of grass that had
decided to cling to him then straightened out his helmet and
turned back towards the city streets to lead Ryo to their new
       destination.
"It shouldn't be that far anyway if memory serves." And memory
did indeed serve as it did not in fact take long for the pair to
reach the shop in question, the two entering through the shop
with Ryo in the lead as Mana held the door for her, the bell
above meant to signal the arrival of visitors ringing out as the
two ponies stepped inside and Mana trotted for the front door in
       search of the shop's owner.

Thyme rolls out of the back room to her shop, a box of potions
sitting in her lap, ready to be put on the shelves. She pauses
when the bell rings, not yet having come out from behind the
counter, and levitates the box to the counter so she can
properly deal with the customer. She doesn't immediately
recognize Mana as she turns to greet him and Ryo, the red stain
on his face making him difficult to identify. "Hello, how can I
       help you?"

Ryo trotted after Mana, the part of the city they were in looked
pretty familiar to her, but she had never been in the shop they
were apparently going into now. Ryo hesitated shortly when Mana
opened the door for her, thinking that it was supposed to be her
turn to hold the door open, but maybe that only applied to
residence doors, not to shop doors.
Once inside, Ryo looked at the shelves full of different kinds
of bottles filled with different colored liquids and other
substances, being somewhat fascinated by them. She followed Mana
to the counter after the guard had entered the store too,
leaving the fascinating bottles alone for now. When greeted by
Thyme, Ryo looks at her sheepishly for a moment, before turning
to Mana, who was the real customer here, and waited for him to
       greet Thyme first.

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Thyme," Mana greeted when he saw the owner
of the shop come out to the main room, him expecting her to
recognize him at first and feeling a touch confused when she
didn't really seem to. At first he wondered how that was
possible as he doubted Thunder's behavior hadn't left some kind
of impression on Thyme the last time the two guards had visited,
but then he remembered the reason he was here.
Oh. Right. His face was an entirely different color.
       Duh.
"My name's Mana Burn, and this is Ryo," he introduced Ryo with a
nod to the mare before moving on, "I came here not that long ago
with another guard named Thunderclap. He was a pegasus and was
suffering from a particularly bad stomach ache brought on by his
own silliness if you recall?" the guard offered, hoping to jog
       the mare's memory.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She apologizes, nodding to Mana and feeling
quite silly for not recognizing him immediately. She remembers
Thunder's antics quite well, as well as the purchase the pegasus
had made. "You'll be wanting some dye remover then? It's right
over there." She points toward a small independent shelf near
the dyes filled with bottles containing a clear liquid.
