She continued to hover lazily as she continued along with
Ironfire, her head tilting to the side. "Enjoying your work is
good." She agreed slowly. "I enjoy going long distances and
seeing all sorts of different places...I mean, I guess if I
didn't have my job I wouldn't have seen so many places!" She
said excited a little bit. "Have you been outside of canterlot
before?"

"I imagine the wings help with the distances," he pointed out
with a smile, "as for myself, I haven't left Canterlot for a
number of years now. It's something that hasn't really
interested me, honestly," he mused, "and unless something came
up, I'd be quite content to stay here for now. I've got a
successful enough business keeping me here. And what about you?
Do you live here, or is it just where you come to for the
purposes of work?"

Taly considered Iron's words. "Hmm...staying in one spot for so
long..." She said contemplating it as if it were an enormous
task. "That's good, it's nice to have something to anchor
yourself on." She said in reference to his business, her wings
keeping the soft rythem of keeping her in the air, unlike the
swoosh of pegasi wings, her own leathery ones were damn near
silent. "I don't...really live anywhere. I'm always being sent
to different places, all the way from ponyville to manehatten,
or canterlot, down to the southern forces...." She said with a
soft chuckle. "Aslthough I'm on leave for a month..a whole
month, what is a poor mare to do?" She said with a sigh.

"Not really living anywhere?" Ironfire asked, almost
incredulously, "I can't imagine what it must be like not having
somewhere to call home," he added, with a touch of sympathy to
his voice, "and a whole month you say? I'd get bored after a
week, honestly. It's not much, but you're free to visit, you
seem to have an idea of smithing after all," he finished with a
smile.

"Yeah, not really living anywhere...I mean, I could call the
various barracks in equestria home but they are not
very...homely." She said with a soft laugh. "I used to live in
the mountains with my family, but gave that up when I decided
military life was forme..." She said with a ramble, but then her
ears twiched when she heard that she was free to visit a certain
handsome stallion, her muzzle getting colored with a little
blush. "Oh...j..just an idea, really...I mean, battlefield
repairs and all.."

As Trixie travelled Canterlot's many twisting streets, winding
through alleyways and down side streets, and making her way down
main roads, posting up posters everywhere she went, the
cornflour-blue mare slowly, ever so slowly, came to the
realization that she was, in fact, utterly lost.
It was her own fault, she supposed; heading off so eagerly into
what was a relatively unfamiliar city, like an excited filly in
an amusement park. Although it was true she had been able to put
up posters all over the fine city by travelling like this, it
did unfortunately mean that she now had no idea about how to
find her way back to the side street where she had parked her
cart, other than continuing to wander aimlessly until night
fell; an idea that the magical showmare didn't exactly relish.
That was why, when her rather worried lavender eyes settled on
the familiar, fire-red mane of a certain unicorn blacksmith,
heading away from her current position, Trixie felt such as
palpable sense of relief, the mare letting out a long, relieved
sigh, as she trotted quickly in his direction, pulling up
alongside the muscular stallion with a warm smile, trying hard
to restrain what would ordinarily be a wide grin of pure relief
and happiness, so focused on the stallion that she failed to
notice the gently-flushing mare who floated alongside him.
"The great Trixie is beyond relieved to see you again, Ironfire!
Trixie's placement of posters goes well, although she admits
that she is now unfortunately unable to locate where she left
her cart.. How go your own efforts?" The silver-haired magician
spoke, an inquisitive smile on her face as she did so, her horn
still sparking gently with lavender magic, as she levitated the
remainder of the posters by her side.

"Barracks? Impersonal places where the soldiers are just as
likely as yourself to be going in and out of them? You're right,
that doesn't sound much like home," Ironfire agreed, before
rolling his eyes at the mares reaction, giving it a soft sigh.
At the sounds of another mare his ear perked up before he turned
to address her, "Ah, Trixie, well, I placed posters in all the
businesses along the business district that would allow me to,
and, as for being lost, I can probably show you the way back
towards more familiar streets," he explained, before pausing
briefly and looking between the two mares, deciding some
introductions are likely in order, "Er... Trixie, this is
Talyserra, one of Princess Luna's night guards," he stated,
stepping aside to sweep a hoof in Taly's direction, "And Taly,
this is Trixie, a travelling magician," he left it at that,
wondering just how much Taly knew of Trixie's past.

Talyserra would turn to look at Trixie. Was this the same...?
Well, She didn't seem like she was trying to swindle other
ponies out of their money at the moment, and besides, the
bat-pony wasn't particularly magical, though she could...Eh,
what was the point? She just put on a smile and gently landed
with a soft 'Poff' sound her fluffy ears tiwthcing gently as her
wings pressed to her sides. "Trixie? Well, it is a pleasure to
meet you, I am Talyserra." She added...a little unnessicarily
with Iron's introduction but, ah well.
Her landing had carried her near Ironfire as she eyed the other
mare up and down. "Posters? For what?" She asked with geniune
curiousity looking between the two, and then she gently batted
at Ironfire with a wing. "Iron, you didn't tell me you were a
promoter as well~"

The cornflour-blue sorceress turned without reluctance to
Ironfire's companion as the stallion introduced the pair, the
showmare setting down the stack of posters at her side as she
approached, head held high, expression proud, hoof extended and
lavender eyes curious.
"Trixie is charmed to meet you as well, Talyserra. Trixie
confesses that she has never seen a Night Guardsman up close
before. Perhaps not as intimidating as she first expected.." The
sorceress commented, her voice first warm and welcoming, before
her tone became one more centred on curiosity, the showmare
talking almost under her breath as she examined the golden-eyed
bat-pony.
Introductions made, the proud showmare stepped back a little,
flicking her silvery mane back into its proper place with an
elegant flourish, the mare opening her eyes to speak in response
to the guardsmare's questioning, tone proud.
"Ironfire is assisting me in the placement of posters,
advertising my next show in Canterlot. Here; avail yourself of
one, if you wish. You're certainly very welcome to attend. As
are you, Ironfire, if you recall.." Trixie replied, separating
one of the posters from the stack as she did so, and floating it
over to the curious bat-pony, her proud tone edging into one
that was slowly approaching smugness, as she turned to speak to
the blacksmith again, watching the interaction between him and
Talyserra with veiled interest.
