By: Foxtrot Date: May 13, 2014, 3:18 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
As Foxtrot answers the Noctral, he's met with quite a peculiar
expression; the unicorn himself raising a confused brow,
wondering how she took his response. Thankfully it was met with
excited exuberance as the pegasus glides around him at high
speeds, admittedly catching Foxtrot off guard as he tries to
keep up with where she was. Once the laps around him stop, the
unicorn relaxes, lightly smiling and nodding as she continues,
understanding how difficult it would be for Princess Luna to be
appreciated just as much as her older sister. Foxtrot scans
across the meadow as she offers a seat for the performance.
Before he can thank her and ask for her name, he catches a
figure in the corner of his eye; his training kicks in, hoof
instantly reaching for his katana. It stops halfway there as the
griffon's pounce is met with good tidings; Foxtrot redirects his
hoof to his side as he fakes scratching a small itch before
placing it back down to the floor. As he looks around for an
empty spot, he overhears the Noctral and griffon converse,
learning both of their names in the meantime. Foxtrot quietly
trots away from the two to give them their space, finding a more
remote space to sit down. He lays down with a relaxing sigh,
enjoying the soft grass underneath as well as the light breeze
blowing against his face, looking up he sees the clear night
sky, the cloak of darkness dotted with stars and the moon above.
'This should be a good spot, not too far, not too close.'
Slinging off his guitar and sword, Foxtrot stretches once more
on the grass before reaching into his backpack to pull out
another snack he acquired earlier. Finishing off in one bite the
unicorn casts one last looks around to make sure his pursuers
weren't around before finally relaxing and waiting quietly for
       the show to begin.

Kindle nodded absentmindedly to Pepper's comment about candles
and stifled a yawn. She hoped the Noctral's show would start
soon. As exciting as it was likely to be, Kindle wasn't sure she
would be able to stay awake through the whole performance if it
didn't start until well after the middle of the night. Kindle's
sleepy thoughts were interrupted by a loud thump, and she jumped
up, instantly alert again. She panicked for a second, seeing
Ivory bowled over by a griffin, but quickly realized that it was
a friend of Ivory's and not a crazed pony-attacking criminal.
Kindle breathed out slowly as she lay back down. She needed to
calm her nerves down; this was the second time she'd mistaken a
stranger for some kind of threat. Kindle stroked Coal's black
fur and listened to the hum of conversation around her.
Ponyville really did bring together all different kinds, she
thought, not just earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasi, but even
       Noctrals and griffins.

Kit grinned a little "You heard right moonbutt." She said
ducking her head a bit and chirping. "The darkest gryphon is
comin' to ponyville." She said with a wink. "I heard there was
like, a fashion icon here named Rarity...I saw her stuff in
manehatten, passing by though, Maybe I can get her to sell my
stuff or something." She said with another chirp, looking Ivory
over. "Looking good my main mare, did you find some sweet pony
here yet or what?" She said with a wink before backing off the
noctrel, allowing her up. "So what's this shindig? Are you doing
to dance like the old days? Show everyone your moonbutt?" She
said nudging Ivory with a wing, giggling lightly as she nodded
to Foxtrot and looked over to Kindle. "Whoa, Candle girl." She
said an eyebrow raising, "I can smell her a mile a way. Is she a
       friend of yours?"

Pepper blinke d alittle bit as Kindle stifled a yawn, a soft
chuckle escaping him. "I hope this start soon.." He said with a
sigh, stretching his back out as his tail swished back and
forth, licking his muzzle a bit. "Otherwise I might have to
leave and miss the show, It's a long walk back to the farm." She
said with a soft sigh, ears twithcing a bit as she looked over
to Kindle, missing what the gryphon said and plopping down on
his bum as his tail bapped the cat playfully, provoking coal
       into action

Kindle's ears twitched when she heard the griffin mention
something about candles, but assumed Ivory's friend was
discussing something unrelated to her, and focused on Pepper.
"You and me both," Kindle said, this time not bothering to try
and hide her yawn, instead letting her muzzle stretch wide. A
deep breath of the cool night air woke her slightly, although it
didn't feel particularly pleasant to Kindle. She shivered
slightly in the night air that anypony else would have
considered mild. Kindle wished they were sitting closer to the
campfire she had seen earlier, but she would be fine with the
rest of the ponies (or griffins) to take her mind off the
dropping temperature. As Pepper's tail brushed Coal, the cat's
paws shot out from underneath him. He trapped the soft hair
against the ground and stared at it intently, as if expecting it
       to try and escape.

Lamplight smiles at the other two orange-ish ponies, turning her
attention away from the others. "Good to meet you! I'm
Lamplight." She says cheerfully. A dark shape moves in the
corner of her eye, but she doesn't pay it any mind. "What brings
you to Ponyville? Just visiting?" She's about to ask the same
for Pepper when Kit suddenly pounces on Ivory, and the orange
innkeeper's head jerks around in alarm. Her worry lasts only a
moment though when she sees the red and black griffon merely
sitting upon the noctral and chatting cheerfully. She turns her
attention back to Kindle and Pepper, who are apparently both
quite tired. Well, normal ponied didn't usually stay up so late,
so it only makes sense. "It shouldn't be too much longer."
Lamplight assures, looking up at the moon, which is just about
in the right position. Looking down just in time to catch
Kindle's shiver, Lamplight frowns. She supposed it was a bit
chilly out tonight... A look of concentration crosses her face,
and her horn lights up, followed by a soft *pop*. A floating
lantern matching the one on her cutie mark materializes in the
air nearby, an aura of warmth radiating from it despite it's
       small size. "There, hows' that?"

       Re: A Ponyville Lunar Festival
By: Schwambart Date: May 15, 2014, 1:20 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The moments pass by without Schwambart taking much note of them,
just transfixed on Ivory...or at least the blob he knew was her.
All this squinting was hurting his eyes, so he stopped that a
bit ago, just focusing on listening and facing the
gradually-more-brightly-glowing Noct-blur as she interacted with
the others. Not his cup of tea, but she certainly was
       exuberant. Just adorable.
...Wait. She's on the ground now. What...what's that on top of
her!? He lets out a gasp and drops his bag and blanket, nearly
doing the same with his violin case until he remembers what
happened last time he did that. It finds its way to the ground
a bit more gently than the other things while Schwambart's mind
races to think of a plan to remove the offending blob from the
glowing one he'd been devoting his attention to.
The more weight the better. He'd start with his bag. Around
that he wrapped the blanket. His violin case would provide a
good amount of weight, but he didn't want to risk damaging that
until he had to. But the blanket would unwrap from the bag,
possibly tangle the blurry aggressor and maybe allow him to
retrieve Ivory from under it. In fact, as long as he's making
things more difficult, the counterweight from the cookies he'll
tie onto the blanket might help, however small amount it would.
His elaborate, not-exactly-well-thought-out weapon finished, he
raises it above his head and advances on the two figures. "How
about YOU GET off...of..." He realizes about halfway into his
exclamation that his ears have been telling him something that
he hasn't been listening to. They were talking. In fact, Ivory
had been laughing. She'd been jumped by a friend. "I...er..."
He backs off several steps, sputtering, before unwrapping the
blanket and dropping himself to the ground, covering himself
with what he'd brought to sit on. Wow, couldn't he at least pay
attention? And now he'd gone and yelled at Ivory's friend,
probably drew plenty of attention to himself, too. Anywhere.
He'd like to be anywhere but here. Maybe if he hid under here
for a while, they'd just leave him alone...

By: Ivory Star Date: May 15, 2014, 11:34 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Ivory furrowed her brows stuck her tongue out sternly at the
Gryphon when she mentioned 'Moonbutt', trying to put on the most
serious face she could before the Noctral broke out in laughter
once more. To be perfectly honest, Ivory had a hard time
understanding Kit at first; her Manehatten accent and dialogue
still was still quite prominent and hard to distinguish for
Ivory's ears. With a blink of slight confusion followed by a
quick shake of her head, the Noctral laughed nervously and
       cleared her throat.
"Oh my... Where to even start?" Ivory decided to dodge the
subject of Rarity for the moment, having not known much about
her to begin with... All she really knew about the mare was what
she looked like, but the Noctral had no interest in her
particular line of work, unfortunately. As lovely as her fashion
lines were, she had grown accustomed to Kit's unique spin on
fashion design. Kit's next question brought an involuntary blush
to the Noctral, easily distinguishable through her lightly
colored fur. "U-um..." Ivory started quietly, finally getting up
to brush herself off. "Well... There is somepony I would like
you to meet. He's actually a newer friend of mine, and--"
Ivory was cut off by the sound of the stallion in question, who
was now approaching the pair and yelling something at Kit... The
Noctral moved to intercept Schwambart, who now seemed to recede
and cover himself up with a blanket, which she promptly lifted
up over him with a rather sharp giggle. "It's okay,
Schwambart... Kit, Schwambart. Schwambart, Kit," she said,
looking at each of them in turn. "Kit's perhaps the first friend
I ever made in Manehatten... In fact, I don't think I would have
made it through school without her." Ivory broke off for a
moment, her cheeks still flustered as she pulled the green
stallion out of his hiding place for a small hug.
"Aaaanyways..." The Noctral continued, glancing up at the moon.
"We have Schwambart here, Lamplight, Kindle, Pepper, Patches,
aaaaaand Foxtrot, if I recall correctly. And I'm sure you'll
like this particular performance, Kit.~ The instrumentalists
have something special planned.~ Speaking of, however, it's
about time for me to get up in the air. If you follow me, I can
show you the best place to sit.~"
Ivory would proceed to guide anypony (and Gryphon) willing to
follow to the staging area. There seemed to be plenty of open
space and 'front row seats' next to the makeshift orchestra that
had gathered which seemed to be rather small compared to other
musical groups. "Here we are.~ Just find a place comfortable for
you and I'll be on shortly.~
(Next post will be the actual performance xD)

Kindle watched Lamplight as she conjured a lantern and smiled in
the flood of warmth. "Thanks so much! That's some useful magic
you've got there," she said. Kindle herself was fairly good at
conjuring fires, but she needed some kind of material to light,
and it wasn't really practical to carry candles everywhere she
went. Besides, Lamplight's lantern seemed even warmer and more
comforting even to Kindle, who found all fire pleasant. "I've
recently moved to Ponyville from Canterlot, hopefully here to
stay. I'm trying to start a candle business here, today was my
first day selling. What do you do around here?" Kindle noticed
Ivory beginning to lead her friend to a seating area across the
meadow. "You were right Lamplight, looks like we're about to
start." Kindle stood and carefully untangled Coal from Pepper's
tail, levitating the cat onto her back. "Let's go see the show!"
she said enthusiastically, energy returning along with
       excitement for Ivory's performance.

Kit chuckled. " Somepony eh?" She said nudging Ivory before
raising an eyebrow. "Hullo...Schwambert." She said with a grin.
"Och, y'bagged 'ou a good one." She said with a gentle chirp of
curiousity as she looked and nodded to the other. "Say Ivory,
Maybe I can talk to you after the perfromance eh? I'll go 'watch
but I'm looking for a place to stay." She said with a swish of
her leonine tail, chirping gently as she found a place to sit
beside Schwambart, before brightneing up and pickign soemthing
out of her bag, and handing it to Schwam. "It's...not your
prescription I bet, but it might let you see the performance, if
your eyes are bad." She said offering, her tail swishing side to
side, the black and red gryphon standing up suddenly as she
walked over to were Kindle would sit. "Your kindle right?" She
chirped. "You smell, like, awesome candles, I was wondering, If
I can get maybe a shop running aorund here, I love candles for
       atmosphere."
