( An idea that I would like to try thats been rattling around in
my head, but if get gets disapproved, well, shit happens.)
Name: Talyserra
Race: Bat Pony
Gender: Mare
Age: 30.
Physical Description:She has the usual dark hide of a bat pony
with a deep black, almost purple mane, and shiny golden eyes
with the usual vertical slits, Tall wings with a dark blue
memberane sit on her back, and the night-blue armor of Luna's
Guard rests easily upon her tall form, Scars run down her hide
from the fights she has been in against the monsters that might
threaten equestria at night.
Special Talent: Protection
Likes: Night Time, Her Princess, Taking long strolls in the
dark...
Dislikes: Too much time spent in the daylight hours, Getting
overly wet.
Strengths: 1- Long flight, She's an endurance flier, which makes
her great for combat flying and messenger runs.
2-Combat Trained - She's trained to use
hooves, teeth, and body in a fight as well as other pony-adapted
weapons.
(Lesser Strengths) Can work metal exceedingly
well.
Weaknesses: 1-Hydrophobia. She can stand to take a bath and be
rained on, but being forced down during an aerial fight into a
body of water greater than a pond will cause her to go into a
fear-frenzy.
2-Mule headed - Even when presented with
water, Taly won't back down from a fight, it's either the
opponent gets defeated, or she does.
3-Military-Trained - Except for her
metallurgy, Taly does not know what else to do, since it's been
her life since she was a bat-filly old enough to join the night
guard.
Fears: Drowning, Her princess being banished once more to the
moon, Losing her ability to fly and be earth-bound.
Bio: She grew up in a community of bat pony's separated from the
rest of Equestria, She had a normal life, with a father that
proudly served in the night guard keeping equestria safe in the
years after their princess was banished, her mother a smith of
some renown taught her daughter some small things before her
cutie mark manifested as a silver crescent and and hammer.
When she came of age, she joined her father as a guard...however
it was only a year later that the fate that waited most of the
night guard befell her father. Death came for him after the
manticore population swelled adn the night guard was called out
to cull their numbers. Celebrated as having done his duty, he
was laid to rest and now his daughter simply wishes to follow
his hoof steps though it was in her lifetime that the Lunar
Princess was returned and that too makes her proud to serve. In
personality terms she is like any other military pony, She comes
off aloof but will lay it down for any of her fellow guards and
those she protects, she has compassion for the ponies she was
charged to protect but sometimes has problems understanding
their way of thinking. Her goals are simple, she strives to
improve herself and those around her, lifting them up, but
eventually her goal is to meet the Lunar Princess herself...and
always one-up the day guard.
Extra Details: Her primary weapon is a pair of metal 'claws'
attached to her hooves that are great for aerial combat and
hoof-to-hoof fighting on the ground, they were carried by her
father, and she reforged them herself after he died. She enjoys
making things and tends to spend long ngiths at the forge when
on leave or off duty. She travels frequently between Ponyville
and Canterlot on messenger runs.
