       Name: Lightning "Slash" Zephyr
       Race: Pegasus
       Gender: Male
       Age: 43
       Physical Description: Slightly larger than average stallion with
       muscles and burn scars to accompany his profession. His coat is
       a dark grey, his mane is a forest green peppered with strands of
       grey, and amethyst eyes. His cutie mark is that of a simple iron
       broadsword. A silver ring is typical worn around his neck, of
       which the inside is engraved with, 'Together Forever, in Perfect
       Harmony'.
       Special Talent: The creation of weapons. While he is a
       blacksmith and has created many works of metal throughout his
       forty-three years (with the help of special tools crafted for
       him by his father, as he does not have magic to aid him), the
       weapons he creates are a notch above the rest and made to last.
       Likes: Puns, reading, listening to his daughters play their
       music, spending time with his family, socializing, learning.
       
       Dislikes: Arrogance, lack of restraint, ponies sticking their
       noses into business that isn't theirs, anything that would
       disturb the peace in Ponyville.
       Strengths: High fortitude, stronger than most pegasi, knows how
       to use his blade well
       Weaknesses: Cynical. Has weak wings, so he only able to fly for
       small periods of time--and even then, not very well.
       Fears: Losing any part of his family; disappointing his family
       in some way; the day when either he or Patches dies, leaving the
       other alone.
       Bio: Born to a family of unicorns--his relation to both his
       mother and father confirmed through the colors of his coat,
       mane, and eyes--Lightning lived a relatively happy childhood,
       despite the fact that he spent most of his time in his house or
       learning the blacksmithing trade from his father to the point
       that he eventually dropped out of school so he could focus on
       that. His constant staying at home was most of the reason he
       began to grow more and more displeased with living in Baltimare
       with his parents--he felt like he was missing out on so much in
       the rest of the world, and didn't like the idea of not having
       seen what the world had to offer before he died.
       So, taking the sword he'd fashioned for himself (and
       subsequently earned him his cutie mark), Lightning left home on
       what could only be considered the rockiest of terms, resulting
       in him changing his name to 'Templar Slash'. He spent the next
       few years travelling Equestria as a sellsword, doing various odd
       jobs that nopony else wanted to do--which included slaying
       monsters--and tentatively settling into relationships with
       ponies along the way only to have them backfire horribly. This
       continued until he stopped by Ponyville five years after he
       departed from Baltimare, and literally ran into the love of his
       life: Patches Zephyr. Friendship turned to relationship, which
       turned into romance, and then marriage, followed in turn by
       their first daughter being born two years later.
       Slash has long since set up a smithy in Ponyville ever sincen
       he'd chosen to settle there with Patches, and continues to work
       it alongside an apprentice he has chosen to take on: a pegasus
       named Crimson Bristle.
       Extra Details: Still has the sword that earned him his cutie
       mark; it now hangs on a special rack where it is crossed with
       his wife's katana. He only takes the sword from its place when
       he feels he needs.
