Nvalia looks around and begins helping with the clean up. "That
won't be much of an issue; considering how close the markets are
I can make multiple trips for food if needed." As she clears out
a countertop, Nivalia glances over to the filly, "So how long
have you lived on your own?"

"Long enough to know I can handle it." Brash says before eying
Nivalia, "Don't clean up too much, this places still has to look
abandoned."
Brash begins investigating the oven for what it might need to
achieve functionality, pulling parts off in the process and
tossing them across the room.

Nivalia softly chuckles as she lets a piece of debris fall from
her hoof, "Well, it sounds like you know what you're doing."
Caprica stealthily slithers off the mare, sliding along the
floor until she sees a small hole in the wall. Within moments
the python disappears from sight. Meanwhile Nivalia herself
walks over to the window, a feint smile on her face as she sees
the towns hustle and bustle from a distance. "So this Carri that
you've mentioned earlier..." the pony asks as she looks back to
Brash, "Is she a friend of yours? Or sister perhaps?"

Brash quickly looks up from her work, "She's a min- my best
friend." Brash begins unhinging the frame of the oven, letting
it fall apart. "Dang junk..." Brash tries to figure out a way to
fix it without making it look any better. "You know what, is
there any sort of theme I could use to make ponies stay away
without trashing the place intentionally?" This was a major
concern, Brash's creations needed to look good and fully
functional, regardless of the mess she leaves behind. However,
if the house were eventually filled with her inventions it would
no longer look abandoned and may bring the curious to her door.
Yet even as she asks this she still tosses the lighter remnants
of the oven across the room.

"Hmm, have you tried a sign?" Nivalia replies. "It could say uh,
'Condemned' or 'Private Property'." The mare lightly hops up as
she recalls another. "Oh! The best one I've seen is 'Warning:
Trespassers Will Be Shot On Site'." Looking at the piling mess,
she fights the urge to make it clean again. "Other than that a
fence could help as well." Nivalia pauses, "But then that might
attract the guards. Do you know anypony older that can vouch for
you should anything happen?"

"Words wouldn't keep away the illiterate, and though I'm sure
Ponyville has a decent school I'm not willing to risk it." Brash
takes a moment to think, "But a symbol might work, maybe
something with crossbones, anything that isn't fully
decipherable to be untrue on sight but also indicates real
danger."
"And what exactly do I need an older pony vouching for?"

Nivalia raises a hoof as she tries to straighten out her
thinking, "Alright let me rephrase that last part..." She pauses
for a moment, still unaware that Caprica is somewhere in the
walls of the building. "If for some reason the guards find you
and they ask where your parents are or if you have a legal
guardian; do have that part covered? Is there somepony that you
have that's old enough to pose as one?"

"I assume Carri is. Though she'd still be questioned I suppose."
Brash begins dragging a side of the oven towards a large
trapdoor in the corner of the room. "I doubt anypony would agree
to live here just to pose as my guardian though."
Brash opens the trapdoor and pushes the oven piece in, which
makes a racket in the floor below, then heads back for another.
"Not my biggest concern, I'm sure to have the proper connections
to avoid that sort of dribble in no time."

"Perhaps..." Nivalia distractedly says. The mare looks around to
finally realize that her pet has gone hunting. Tensing up, the
pony from corner to corner, whispering out Caprica's name, but
to no avail. "Uh, Brash... This place doesn't have any kind of
rodent infestation, does it?" Nivalia spots a box and lifts it
up, only to find another empty spot. "Darn it."

Brash, too distracted by her own task, doesn't notice Nivalia's
new problem. "The word infestation assumes they're here against
my will." She says to confirm there is a small rat populace
within the house, whilst still loudly moving pieces of oven into
the basement.
