Brash flinches as the snake gets angry, thankfully the threat is
quickly taken care of and Nivalia calls to her pet, "You
could've just kept up you know, unless you've something else to
do." Brash remarks, staying still as the shock wears away.
Brash smirks at Potato's remark and looks back to him, waiting
for his laughter to quiet enough so she could be heard, "No
snake is going to be able to do much against my future automaton
bodyguard." She then raises her snout and continues forward.

Nivalia picks up Caprica and gives her a few strokes on her
head, the python herself calming down. Her curiosity does get
the better of her when she hears about the automaton, "A
bodyguards running off gears and pistons? I'd like to see how
that would work. How much of it is built already?"

The superhero manages to stop laughing at the filly so that he
could hear her comment about her "automaton." The superhero's
joy immediately leaves his starch filled body as soon as he
hears this. He didn't like robots. In fact, they scared the
utter crap out of him. Same thing went for things like dolls and
mannequins. Why? He'd always assumed he was just born like that.
"So when you say automaton, you mean like a robot right?" The
potato themed superhero asks thee filly in a nervous tone while
catching up to her.

"Fully sentient and subservient to my will?" Brash adds to
Potato's question, "That's the plan."
"Right now only the frame of the body is built, except the head,
lots of complications there. I have most of the parts, and so
long as I follow the instructions it should be ready for initial
testing in a month or so; Full operation will take some years."

Nivalia continues her trot, this time with a little pep in her
step. "Oh, that sounds exciting! I'm sure something like that
would really be useful." Caprica this time begins reaching out
to Potato Pony, only to be stopped by the mare once
more."Caprica. You are all over the place today."

"And when you say "sentient" you mean that it has emotions, free
will, and coherent thought right?" Potato asks. Although he was
quite scared of robots and stuff for some reason he couldn't
understand, it was another thing to be a robot with feelings and
thoughts. It was pretty much just a metal pony at that point.
Now normally the superhero would have gone off on the filly for
having it follow her every command, but he would get onto that
later once he got past the "Is it sentient or at least mostly
sentient?" part.

"That would be the case, and if done right all of those things
will be how I made them. It'll will to serve me, think about how
best to do so on its own, and find success at doing so
enjoyable. That is, of course, the best case scenario." Brash
pauses walking a moment to think, "My father was inspired by
magic tools and wanted the challenge of bringing them to their
maximum potential, a sentient bodyguard and servant was his idea
of that."
Brash shrugs and continues walking, "Magic tools are still
somewhat rare though; Look out for a turtle flying with a
propeller in Ponyville." Brash glances back at the two, "And if
you see the owner of that turtle, ask them who made that
propeller and inform me."

The masked figure calms down upon hearing how the robot was
SUPPOSED to work. Didn't mean he still didn't like it. It just
didn't scare the crap out of him anymore. It met his opinions on
what made something sentient.
"Magic tools? You mean technology that goes above sticks and
stones I assume." The potato themed superhero adds when he hears
the phrase. He'd only been in the country for a week, but from
he'd seen their tech really sucked. No Tesla Coils to be seen,
ponies still using hoes to till farmland, and they didn't have
any grappling hooks for sale anywhere for some reason. Grappling
hooks are cool.
And like said earlier he would save the "Why would you have it
follow your every command? That's basically slavery!" speech for
later.

Nivalia quietly listens to the conversation, not really sure
what to expect in this town if this was usual business. "Are
there any other ones that could be in town?" The mare lightly
shakes her head, 'Wait, I already have things to do.'
Caprica slithers over the mare's shoulders, staying calm as
Nivalia keeps an even pace.

"Yeah, magic tools are a type of technology I suppose." Brash
nods, "I guess my father did like to glorify it."
Approaching a large dilapidated house just at the edge of town
far from the main road, Brash gestures to it with a hoof and
looks to Nivalia, "That one is mine, the second story is yours
for however long, if Carri comes back you can share."
Even from a distance one can see the house has a large hole
where the front door should be; Large iron beams are assembled
to keep the structure's integrity.
