Rolling his eyes, Ironfire walked over to join Thunder by the
armour, "y'know, you should work on your acting. That was about
as subtle as a brick to the face, and I've only met you twice
now, I'm sure Mana can probably see right through it. So what,
exactly, are you trying to keep quiet?" the stallion questioned,
getting a little bit tired of the day so far.

The noctral meanwhile cleared her throat softly and smile day
the two. "So,my next stop is in ponyville." She said casually
trying to make conversation . "I haven't been there in awhile,
and yes, I am off duty for the next few nights." She said with a
shrug. "The nights have quiet lately and a few guards were
granted a couple of nights off... I'm not sure if I like it, I'd
rather be out there to tell the truth, I seem for all my age to
still stick my wing in my mouth like a silly filly ." She said
with a soft chuckle, looking over at Ryo, "what do you think?
Pretty silly eh?"

"Ha. Ha," Thunder laughed sarcastically, "How about you stop
that, sit down and have yourself a chocolate milk or something?
I'm trying to keep you quiet. You're not very good at calming
somepony like Mana down, are you? First he gets upset because
someone tells him he's not doing his job right, so you try to
calm him down by dumping water on him and then telling him he's
not doing his job right? You should work on your people skills.
I'm sure Mana would have seen right through them had he heard
it."
Mana, relieved that the night guard at least hadn't been kissing
civilians while on duty, gave Ryo another nod. If she was okay,
then he'd just let the matter be laid to rest. Taly's sudden
jump towards mentioning a trip to Ponyville made Mana's ears
twitch then pin back as if somepony had just poked them with
something sharp. He'd almost forgotten about how Ryo was leaving
for the small town herself before long... and how he'd probably
now appeared to go out of his way to make the last few hours of
her time in the city as awkward or unpleasant as possible. His
ears pinned further and he turned his gaze to the floor and away
from Ryo, almost feeling like he needed to apologize again as he
tried not to dwell on how the mare was leaving soon.

"Y-yeah, sounds pretty silly..." Ryo wasn't completely sure what
Taly meant, but decided to agree with it anyway. She looked
momentarily puzzled when Taly mentioned about her going to
Ponyville next. Why would she go there. No! She wouldn't let her
imagination cause her paranoia about that. It was completely
unrelated to her, that's for sure... At least she hoped it
was...
Ryo looked at Mana, unsure of why he looked to be sad. She
looked at Thunder and Iron who were discussion something, what
she couldn't hear, nor really cared. Ryo sat down next to Mana,
but didn't say anything, as she wasn't sure what to say to him,
nor what to say to anypony else currently present in the room.

"You might want to have a word with Mana then" Ironfire stated,
"if he believes he's doing his job right, then he wouldn't need
to get so defensive about it. Gives off the wrong impression,"
he pointed out, believing that, if Mana is so defensive about
this, then perhaps the guards isn't doing all he should, "you
might want to think about that,"

The noctrel blinked softly, and twitched her ears, before she
began to back away to the door. "Er, I ...do seem to have made a
mess of things via my presence." She said, ears pinned back, and
tail still as undisturbed water. "Why don't I just go and
everyone will probably be better off without the guard who
sticks her hoof in her mouth every few minutes?" She said, her
back up agaisnt the door..if no one said anything in partiocular
the noctrel would likely bolt.

"Really? Because to me it seemed more like he was being insulted
than he was being defensive about it. You know, after having two
ponies tell him he's doing his job wrong to his face and should
do it better." Thunder said, not sounding like he found what
Iron said to be worth much, "in fact, you don't seem one to talk
with how worked up you were getting over how I was towards my
armor earlier. Some might say I should apologize over how I was
but, hey, with how you seem to be thinking, I had every right to
tell you you did your job completely wrong and you should have
instead just been setting a better example about it instead of,
you know, glaring at me, gritting your teeth, completely
disregarding my opinion simply because I don't work as a
blacksmith and all that junk, right? Anyway," Thunder turned
back to the others and more specifically the door, "I need to go
fix my armor by tying it to me with a rope and flying low enough
through the streets so as to drag it across the ground." The
pegasus trotted to the door, giving Mana, Ryo and Talyserra nods
as he went. "Later, love birds. And afternoon to you, night
shift." He gave as farewells as he passed the bat pony and left
the building.
Mana doubted he meant it. After all, Thunder had paid for the
armor to be repaired in the end albeit reluctantly, so the
unicorn figured he'd at least keep it in its current condition
for a day or two. At least for an afternoon. As for the night
guard... Things sure felt awkward now... Mana personally wasn't
really going to jump at the opportunity to say anything to try
and keep her around since nopony really seemed comfortable after
everything thats happened, but at the same time Mana himself
would probably have just left along with Thunder had he not
wanted to stay with Ryo for as long as he was able, so... "Maybe
its best we all left and went for a walk?" He suggested,
settling on a kind of middle ground as he let the offer extend
to Taly as well ad Ryo so as to let the mares decide their next
step and whether the bat pony would be included.

Ryo blushed again at Thunder's crack about her and Mana, but
didn't linger on it for too long. She gave Mana a nod when he
suggested that they'd left and go for a walk. "Sure, and let Mr.
Ironfire get back to work." Ryo would have liked to talk with
Iron about blacksmithing, but thought that it would have to wait
for some other time. Ryo got up and slowly headed towards the
door, waiting for Mana and possibly Taly, if she decided to join
them.

Talyserra would with gently and shake her head. "I think I'll
leave you guys be...I'll be around tomorrow night I think but
for now I'm going to...wander around a bit more, or something."
She said apologetically and nodded to Ironfire and mana and
thunder and yet again at Ryo. "Good evening everyone.." She said
slowly before she left out the door, muttering softly to
yourself "you never get it right Taly, dad would have wowed them
and had so many friends already rather than just big number
0..." She said to herself wings twitching and armor clinking a
bit as she chose to stay on terra firma instad of flying.

Seeing that the night guard was opting to dipart from the forge
solo, Mana simply gave her a nod farewell as she left before
trotting up to Ryo as the two of them vacated the premises. A
brief wondering as to where they should go next - and how he
should go about either embarrassing himself and or Ryo with how
he was behaving - was cut short after a glance skyward, the
guard quickly discerning the time of day and not being happy
with his realization.
Her train was arriving soon... Aww...
Mana sighed disapointedly before turning to Ryo as they
continued to walk in no direction in particular, "So... I guess
therrs not much time left till its time to head off, huh?" He
asked, trying to sound more casual about it, "was there anywhere
else you'd like to stop by for a quick visit before we headed
back to the train station? I don't have any other appointments I
need to keep and embarass both of us at, so its all up to you."
