"Ahpapapa!" Thunder said, sorta, as he snapped a hoof up into
the air and turned his head in the opposite direction of Iron,
dismissing what he was saying as if it was just absurd to think
about before considering just bucking his armor right then and
there to give it a few dents.
"And its definite way of thinking because its only way of
thinking. Wrong bahbies and then me, duh."
"A sisterly kiss is all well and good between friends and
family," Mana spoke up much more seriously, Ryo's look at him
being missed for a moment, "but when its given to a pony you
just met without them being okay with it, that can very easily
become an issue regarding a form of assault and is quite
illegal. You did know that I assume?" Mana asked, questioning
the etiquette of the night guards at this point, "So you either
didn't care or didn't know. Which confuses me." A flick of his
eyes at Ryo to gauge her current attitude towards all this, her
seeming to have been embarrassed by it all and only adding to
how he believed that kiss wasn't a good idea. How she was
looking at him caused his features to soften however as he was
far from.angry with her and didn't want her to think he was.

Mana didn't look like he was angry, that's a relief. Ryo never
had any siblings, so she couldn't really relate to the "sisterly
kiss", but instead agreed with Mana, and what he said about it.
Even though she missed most of it... Ryo kept her eyes away from
Taly, and instead started to count the number of tiles in the
floor of Iron's forge in her head, in attempt to distract her
       mind for a moment.

Ironfire was suppressing the urge to glare at Thunder. Also the
urge to smash his face with a hammer. Since one of those likely
came with a stay in the dungeons, he opted to simply glare at
the pegasus hoping some vengeful creator would show him the
error of his ways. Ideally sooner rather than later.
Trying to ignore the pegasus desecrating his latest work, he
tried turning his attention back to the others, but couldn't
think of much to say without likely making something worse,
opting instead to remain silent on the matter for the moment,
       hoping it'll work itself out.

Raises an eyebrow, and places her hoof against her muzzle. "Let
me guess. You either fancy. Or are courting this mare. And you
wish to..." She said with a soft sigh. "Stud Up?" She said with
a laugh. "Maybe this is why the other noctrels don't come around
here so often. It's crazy. Already I've been both praised and
denounced by a pegasus, Attempted to apologize for scaring and
doing something that is to me, natural by culture and
upbringing, and then denounced once more by yet another
Stallion, whilest the one I attempted to console still looks as
if she wishes to be put in a box and shipped all the way to
manehatten just to get away from the situation while the
stallion that owns the store looks as if he is going to get
violent and soon. Perhaps, dear stallion you should worry about
the thin line of patience Master Ironfire has remaining." After
ranting like that she panted. That felt good! Empowering! She
       should Rant More!
Looking about, semi-pleased with herself, her nostrils flared a
bit. "Perhaps we should leave master Ironfire be for the night.
He looks worn, In either case, Master Thunder, the issue about
your armor should be a non-issue, It is fixed, in time, it will
gain the dents and dings you wish to have in it, assuming you
are a very dangerous individual with a pair of balls bigger than
the apples of the apple family, so, deed done and all that
rubbish." She said, wings twitching, eyes watching the others,
before turning to Mana. "And /you/. Attempting to call something
from my own culture and upbringing an assault? That's rubbish,
You appear to be smarter than that and letting machismo take
place over logical thought. Get ahold of yourself."

By: Mana Burn Date: April 29, 2014, 8:57 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Mana first raised an eyebrow at Taly's words in regards to how
he felt towards Ryo. While relatively true, he saw no relevance
in them in regards to what he was talking about and was confused
as to why it was being brought up. However, his confusion was
almost immediately replaced with a feeling of being insulted
when she laughed and claimed he was trying to "stud up", calling
the idea of pointing out what shed done as "crazy" and then
acting as if he was being foolish.
Thunder, had he known what Ironfire thought about his attitude
towards his armor, would have pointed out that he didn't believe
it was able to be "desecrated" as it was not something to be
revered as having some form of sanctity. It was, in the end,
assembled pieces of hammered metal and, to put it bluntly, he
had payed for it and could therefore say whatever he wanted
about it, since he hadn't wanted to pay nor get it fixed at all.
Heck, he could just throw it away in some junkyard if he felt
like it, and he'd have every right to.
This wasn't stopping Thunder from mostly ignoring what Taly was
saying at the moment - something that should be thought of as a
good thing as he'd have only grown annoyed with her attitude as
well - as he was quickly slipping on the annoyingly shiny armor
he wasn't happy with. He knew Mana wasn't going to bad happy
about this... not in the slightest...
And happy with this bat pony the unicorn was not. By the end of
her rant Mana had gone from a raised eyebrow to an almost
barring of his teeth as he went from annoyance to simply being
downright pissed off. A guard, a royal guard, giving such a
display of ignorance over what shed done coupled with her
insolence towards both him and their job? Mana Burn was a very
patient pony, being partnered with Thunderclap meaning he had to
be, but when somepony who should know better questions either
the law or how he did his job does so with so much disrespect,
it can be a bit too much for him.
"'Stud up'?" Mana said back, tone of voice carrying a very
strong sense of barely restrained anger as his eyes almost shown
with the same, "'crazy'? 'Rubbish'? 'Machismo'!? How DARE you
think that I would let such personal feelings affect how I view
and uphold the law I'm sworn to protect? Are you fresh out of
the academy, or am I now doomed with the knowledge that you are
the kind of guards these poor civilians are to entrust with
their safety these days? A condescending attitude and an
apparent belief that you are above the rules simply because you
come from a family that's affectionate?
"Kissing a pony who has neither given consent or approval is the
same thing as touching them inappropriately. It is, despite your
beliefs that stem from what you do with FAMILY, a form of sexual
assault and, from what I can tell from Ryo's obvious
embarrassment over it, she is not happy about it and does not
approve. Did you not study the laws that you are sworn to
uphold? Did you just skip that part of your training? Maybe
you're just in it for the uniform and because you get to maybe
fight things? Do you not respect what you do enough to
appreciate that you haven't been fired if this is how you carry
yourself? I should have you suspended at the very least!
"You come in here... play with the law... and then insult both
me and the Royal Guard corps itself with how you behave..." Mana
almost hissed, the unicorn actually being pretty scary when
angered as what he was witnessing just seemed ridiculous to him.
"Hahaha! Well!" Thunder forced out very awkwardly as he landed
between the two ponies with an incredibly forced grin and tried
to play things off as not being a big deal despite how
everything had escalated, his earlier issues with his armor at
this point being forgotten as he was growing more concerned over
somepony's safety, "maybe its the academy to blame, right? Heck,
I remember when they had to spell out what 'breaking and
entering' fully entailed and even then they were pretty meh
about the definition! Maybe we should all just... Heh..." he
paused to give a light shove to Taly along with a strained look
for her to back off a bit and give Mana more space, "pick a
corner to sit in, eh? I think we should all just sit down and
relax. Maybe outside? And, you know, away from each other? A
nice relaxing sit. That's what we need."

Ryo didn't like the direction where the conversation between
guards was going. She tried to say something in between breaths
the guards still needed, but couldn't actually say anything to
stop their argument. After the short silence that followed
Mana's "reply" to Taly, Thunder flew in between them and tried
to calm them down. Ryo had subconsciously flared up her horn and
prepared to bail out, or at least try, if things turned violent.
"P-please.." She said with slightly shaky voice, directing her
words towards both Mana and Taly. "I-it's okay, j-just please
       don't fight... I-i don't want to c-cause arguments between
a-anypony... Please c-can we just... forget this ever
happened...?" Poor choice of words, and she knew it herself. The
royal guard has their standards and etiquette, that Ryo knew
existed, but was pretty much unaware what it held in it and
exactly what kind of behavior is required from a royal guard.
She still held the spell ready as she repeated.
       "P-please...?"

Coming slightly to his senses, calming himself down somewhat,
the current situation between Mana and Talyserra seemed to be
getting out of hoof somewhat. Not to mention that Taly was
right, and Ryo looked like she'd be thankful if the floor
swallowed her up right now. Looking around, he tried to think of
something to diffuse the situation. A fight between two members
of the royal guards in his store isn't exactly great for
       business.
In his searching, he was struck by an idea. Something that Mana
himself had suggested previously, albeit with a different
recipient. Grabbing two of his barrels with his magic, he
promptly hurled their contents at the two bickering ponies.
Thunder, however, was unfortunately caught in the cross fire.
"The two of you are royal guards. Please act like it," Ironfire
stated, "yelling at each other isn't going to solve anything.
And I've half a mind to find superiors to report this to. As it
stands, Mana Burn, even I've seen other ponies using a kiss on
the cheek as a form of greeting. You work in the castle and must
see dignitaries from the world over with a whole variety of
different customs. Talyserra, you've got to accept that
everypony has different customs and learn to adapt. Or at least
take more care," almost as an after thought, he brought out
three towels and threw them at their heads, "sorry Thunder, but
I bought towels this time, so there's that,"

Talyserra ducked to dodge the barrel as she hopped to the left
but then ended up being hit by the towel. Shaking her head
slightly to get it off, she lowered her wings and sighed,
breathing in deep, looking to the four. "...Master Ironfire is
right." She said ducking her head. "I apologize, I spend most of
my time in the wilderness and on very long exhaustive
flights...where worrying about small things gets you killed if
you aren't looking out for your fellow ponies out there. I got
indignant, a little." She said chuckling, looking to Thunder and
Mana. "May we start anew? I apologize for kissing Ryo out of
turn.." Though she did taste quite sweet, thought the Noctrel.
"I only meant it as friendly and not offensive." She said with a
sigh, wings and tail lowered, head slightly ducked, "Perhaps I
let the wilderness affect my civility a little more than it
       should."

By: Mana Burn Date: May 2, 2014, 5:43 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Mana, clearly not in the mood to shrug this off, was almost to
the point of just glaring past Thunder and attempting to burn
holes through the other guard with his vision alone before he
heard Ryo speak up. Glancing back at her and seeing how she was
behaving as well as the tone of her voice was enough to get him
to go from baring his teeth in anger to having his ears droop a
little and allow a small sigh to escape him.
"... Ryo, I-" and then Mana was dowsed in water from the
barrels, this... Not being the best thing to do to him as his
moment of calm was so abruptly interrupted and replaced with a
surprised confusion that, upon hearing what Ironfire said next,
threatened to return to his earlier anger. No matter what
Ironfire seemed to be thinking, the point was that the law was
the law. No, a foreign dignitary with special customs and such
was not a good example of what was and wasn't acceptable public
behavior between ponies who didn't know each other or weren't
comfortable with such things. A diplomat who would consider such
a thing an insult was just as common as one who would take it as
a friendly gesture, and Mana had plenty of horror stories that
he could tell involving visitors to the castle making
assumptions about what was and wasn't acceptable behavior.
Ironfire, at least, was lucky enough to have Mana fail to hear
the first thing he'd said due to clogged ears, Thunder giving a
small sigh of relief when it became apparent his partner hadn't
heard the blacksmith essentially tell him he was presenting
himself wrong and making a bad example of the guard. Thank
Celestia he hadn't heard the blacksmith threaten to go to some
superior about it. Thunder wasn't sire there'd have been much of
the forge left after everything was said and done had Mana
caught wind of such a threat.
"Yeah! Ha! That's fine Iron!" Thunder laughed with a forced
smile as he flat out ignored both his new wet coat and the towel
he'd been tossed, the pegasus trotting over to the blacksmith
and putting a hoof on the stallions shoulder, "I could have
probably used a good drench after spending all day in the sun
and all. Refreshing really! Say, think you and I can go discuss
something I noticed about my armor for a sec? Over there?" He
asked, nodding off towards a side of the forge that was
conveniently furthest away from the other guards in the room,
       "Just for a sec?"
Mana, giving an aggravated sigh as he knew arguing about
everything further would successfully serve no purpose, used his
magic to float over the towel that had been thrown his way off
of the floor, the stallion drying off his face first then going
about removing his armor so as to dry off both the suit and the
       coat that was underneath.
"... I'm sorry, Ryo..." He apologized with a sigh before turning
his ears to listen to Taly. "Yeah, alright, sure. We can start
over. I... apologize, if I got a bit loud there. I just take my
job really seriously, and... You are off duty at least, right?"
He asked, needing to at thevery least clear up that the kissing
of civilians wasn't being done on her work hours which, no
matter what anyone could argue, would have indeed been
       inappropriate.
"And you're sure you are okay with that?" he then asked Ryo,
tone more gentle and still carrying a small hint of an apology

Ryo let out an audible "Eeep!" when Iron hurled the water at the
arguing guards. She managed to avoid getting wet by jumping back
a notch. The spell she had unconsciously kept up faded as she
looked at the source of the water. Still a little shocked, she
remained quiet as the guards exchanged their words, thankfully
in much calmer manner this time. Yeah, she was ready to start
with clean slate too, not wanting to be a source for any
argument. Ryo gave a nod to Mana when he apologized and turned
to look at Taly when Mana spoke to her. A Slight Blush made it's
way to her face as she remembered the earlier event that had
       lead to the argument.
Her attention was drawn to Mana when he asked her if she was
okay with what had happened. "Y-yeah." Ryo lowered her head
slightly. "It's a-alright. I-i mean, nopony was harmed and...
And... Yes, I'm okay..." She gave Taly another quick glance,
slightly worried that she was aware of her past "trick", but at
the same time slightly relieved that she wasn't being mean to
       her about it.
