       PLOTYNSTYNE's Mythology - Triumvirate

       Everypony knows Celestia and Luna, the Alicorn princesses who
       rule Equestria.  They bear traits of all three races, and wield
       power beyond what most would think possible or possibly wise.
       They have also recently added to their ranks two new princesses,
       Mi Amore Cadenza from the Pegasi and Twilight Sparkle of Unicorn
       heritage.
       But are they the only beings to have such power?
       Enter Aliment, Filament, Firmament, and Fundament.  Not avatars
       of the three races, they are exemplars of single races and what
       makes them unique.
       Just a little non-canon exploration of what might be...

       PLOTYNSTYNE's Mythology - Fundament

       Fundament.  Foundation.  Groundwork.  Support.  That upon which
       everything else is built.  Such is the Earth Pony avatar.
       Strength unmeasurable.  Durability unmatched.  Mover of the
       planet.
       Fundament is caretaker of the ground and its denizens, be they
       animal, mineral, or vegetable.  More than that, he deals with
       the health of the planet as a whole, safeguard and protector.
       He is older than the mountains, more ancient than the bones of
       Equestria and the one who raised them from infancy.  Under his
       vigil did the continents form and life flourish.
       Fundament, as an elemental, appears as a pony-shaped monument of
       dirt of any size, bearing as well rocks and whatever debris the
       in which he stands contains.  His mane and tail are plants,
       grass, vines, and flowers.  Where a pony's eyes would be, he
       instead has two uncut diamonds, deeper than the deepest hole and
       more durable than anything ponykind can imagine.
       As a pony, Fundament walks as an extremely large brown-coated
       earth pony, nearly four times the size of an average stallion,
       with unshorn fetlocks and highly muscular frame.  His mane and
       tail are green interspersed with all colors vegetation can be,
       wild and unkempt, naturally grown.  His eye color is unknown as
       they always glow with overflowing power.  His voice is not a
       pony voice, instead being the rumble of an earthquake, the
       clatter of stone on stone, the crack of a widening fissure.  The
       ground he walks shakes when he does, sprouting life where his
       hooves trod.  With a wave of his leg, he could cause the
       mountains to buckle and become valleys, islands to become
       continents, deserts to become forests.
