Reacting to the sudden flashes of light from the held object,
Star recoiled a bit as the cube began to flash and vibrate, her
head turning away from it long enough for it to fall still again
so she wouldn't be blinded by the flashes. When it did stop, she
gave the small cube a strange look, followed by a murmured
apology, before returning it to the top of the pile. She then
looked back to Haywire, humming quietly at his words. That
sounded familiar, him saying he 'knew where everything he needed
is'. That was usually how most ponies responded to something
like that when addressing their clutter. But unless Haywire was
just abnormal, it was entirely likely that there was a lot more
in those piles of junk that he'd forgotten about long ago, and
could likely find uses for again--provided they could actually
       be gotten to.
She smiled a little bit in amusement when Hay asked if she was
telling him to clean his room, followed by her shaking her head.
"This is what I do, Haywire. It's my talent. I try to aid ponies
in any way I can--for instance, like I mentioned earlier, I
might take care of menial things for a busy author, painter,
sculptor, musician... such as cooking, cleaning, ordering
supplies. So they can focus on their goal. I still have no idea
what your heart's desire is--and that's fine, I'm not really
asking; I know some ponies aren't comfortable sharing that, or
some just don't know--but the thing is, I see all this mess, and
I see all the room that could be utilized if there wasn't so
much in the way. A little organization can actually go a long
       way..."

Hay blinked then looked around at the plentiful piles of junk
and spare parts littering his workspace. Um... Maybe? Hay wasn't
one to ignore an idea just because it was different, but after
so much time spent in this kind of environment, he didn't know
if adding order to the chaos would truly help or instead hinder.
Then again... He did often see Bubo picking through things and
trying to sort stuff out on occasion... Usually when Hay was in
the middle of a build and would be heading over towards the
stuff Bubo was messing with eventually... Hm. Could be worth a
shot? Would definitely be something ne. AndAnd New is always
       fun.
"Hmm... I suppose it might be nice for me to not have to almost
literally swim through all my spare stuff when I need to get a
certain something for whatever I'm working on... But, look at
all this!" He said, holding his hooves out at the junkyard that
was the interior of his home, "I'd be in here for forever and a
half if I wanted to organize this place! And even then my idea
of orga.oars probably wouldn't be much different from how it is
now... Um... When you helped out those other ponies with their
stuff, what was their idea of 'organized'? Did they use some
kind of gadget for it? Oh! We should just build a room cleaning
machine! That way we'd building something new and cleaning up!"
Bubo landed on the inventors noggin, the mechanical bird, having
noticed the idea Hay was distracting himself with, then pecking
hos creators head and then gesturing with a wing over towards
one of the piles that was contributing to hos current issue, the
most prominant piece of clutter in the mound of metal and what
have you being the back end of what looked like a metal box with
wheels. A label on its now defunct backside read "Ultimate Room
Sweeper Deluxe Thingie". Hay goggles and pretended not to have
seen that as he looked down at his hooves with some slight
       embarrassment.
"Eheh... Uh... How did those other ponies do it?"

When Hay brought to attention the sheer amount of mess scattered
around them, Star folded her ears down against her head as the
problem she'd been trying to avoid thinking about too much came
to surface. It would take forever and a half to organize
everything. Time she didn't really have. As Hay asked various
questions about how to possibly take care of the mess, Star
continued to look over it all, realizing more and more just how
unprepared--and unable--she'd be to do it all in her current
situation. Even when Bubo pointed out a nearby machine that had
been made to help clean up the mess, Star continued to try and
think of how she'd back down on the offers she'd already been
       insinuating toward.
"I'm not sure what you mean by your question," Star said quietly
after Haywire asked his question. "Do you mean how were the
messes cleaned? A lot of time, patience, and diligence. Even
though, there wasn't usually anywhere near this much to have to
take care of--even if they were ongoing jobs. Unless you mean
how did they get me to do it? Usually, they asked me, and I knew
about their heart's desire beforehoof... Most paid me as well
for my time, since it was technically a job in and of
itself--and you don't know how much that helped me out when it
happened, since it was my own time I was devoting to them...
But, Haywire... I'm afraid I have a lack of just that here:
time. I know what it was starting to sound like, but... I
wouldn't be able to do all of this right now. I've put in a lot
of applications for work around the city, and I'm scheduled for
some interviews soon. If I get one of those jobs, my amount of
free time would be reduced drastically. And as much as I would
like to help you, I've got to make sure I'm spending some of
that free time on myself as well..."

"I was more just asking how they could have the patience to
clean stuff without making some kind of machine to help with
it," Hay answered a bit bashfully, "I could just not be used to
it though." Honestly, Haywire hadn't been expecting Star to
offer to help clean the workshop. To him he thought she would
just give a few tips or maybe just stick around and talk while
he went about doing it himself - and by "himself" he usually
meant "with the aid of some kind of gadget" - but, having how
much of a mess there was in his workshop pointed out to him did
make the idea of somepony helping him to clear it all out sound
really nice... Hay wasn't deaf though, and he could tell that
Star was less interested in the idea the more they spoke about
it. The mess in hos workshop was scaring her off, wasn't it?
Great... He got another visitor so soon after the others and she
wanted to get away from him and his workshop...
"... I dunno what my hearts desire is really," Hay said, the
inevitable further bad news that he knew was coming managing to
bring down his usually happy attitude to a more quiet and gloomy
one, "I've never really thought about it much. I guess I always
assumed I'd already gotten it since I get to build stuff all the
time, but... I dunno. Maybe I'd like to be a bit more... Um...
Visited? I like having visitors, but nopony ever comes around
because of how everypony says its dangerous or something... Oh!"
He said, picking up his mood for a moment, "there is one thing
I've been dying to try for a while though! You know airships?
I've been wanting to make a new one that I could use to fly
around and stuff. That way I could keep all my experimenting and
stuff on the airship and nopony would have any reason to avoid
my workshop! Course, I haven't been able to really start that
project at all. I've had a lot of other ones I've been needing
to finish, and I still need to buy or find a bunch of parts I'll
       need to start..."
Haywire gave a glance around the shop, his eyes finding the door
to his kitchen that he knew still had pretty bare shelves. He...
Couldn't make it as worth her time to stay and help him... Not
nearly as well as probably anypony else in the city could.
Haywire was, to be blunt, poor. His inventions didn't sell very
well due to his lack of business skills, and those that did sell
often sold for far less than they were worth. It's something
he's never been able to help, and severely limited his abilities
when it came to what he could create.

Still... there was one thing he could do... he doubted shed go
for it, but he'd offer anyway, "I know you have other things you
probably have to do and all, but... Well... If you did help me
with this I could try to do what those other ponies did? You
know, make it worth your time? I do have some bits I can trade
for your help if you'd like?" The bits he'd been saving. For
those parts he needed for his airship project. He had quite a
few so far, but he still needed much much more and, thinking
about it, Hay was becoming less and less confident that he'd
ever actually get to start it to at all, so... If he could use
that money to both help somepony else out and get some help in
return, why not? Would accomplish something... "I can at least
give you something until those interviews you have scheduled?"
Bubo, noticing how Hay was behaving, snuggled down in the
inventor's mane and gave a soft coo to Hay as he watched him.

Airships. That sounded like a pretty good goal, honestly. Create
a flying vessel that anypony could use to travel the world,
transport objects, ponies, creatures... Something like that had
many uses, and it was certainly something she'd never really
seen before--aside from maybe hot air ballons, which was the
closest thing she used in comparison for a mental image. But,
she imagined airships would be much larger, much easier to
commandeer, and much faster. For a moment, she thought she felt
some sort of tingling sensation from her cutie mark, but it was
so faint and brief she easily passed it off as an itch instead,
causing her to whap her own flank with her tail as Hay went on
to suggest he pay her. She paused for a moment in thought before
shaking her head slowly. "It wouldn't be cheap, Haywire, nor do
I imagine trying to buy all the parts and such you need for your
inventions is, either. Don't take this the wrong way: I'm still
an acquaintance, and I still very much want to drop in from time
to time to say hello and see what's going on, but I've got to
focus on getting myself set in this city. Things here aren't
       exactly cheap, after all..."
She sighed quietly before turning to the doorway. "Listen, I
think I should get going. I've upset enough for one day, I
believe. Thank you for chatting with me today, Hay, and for
showing me around your workshop, and for letting me use your
shower. I'll come visit you again in a few days," she told him
honestly, giving him a smile before stepping forward to nuzzle
Bubo as well, then moved to the front door of the workshop. She
left with a parting wave before going through the rest of her
day by eating, checking around a few of the shops in town to see
if any of them were hiring, then finally going back home to
crash for the day. Some form of that process was how Star spent
most of the following days. She'd eat, search for a job or
attend scheduled interviews, meet and chat with a few
ponies--even stopping by Tech Tock again as she had promised
despite nothing really noteworthy happening when she did--before
       sleeping to repeat the routine.
Unfortunately, she never found her way to a job in that time.
Either she never heard back from a potential employer, was told
they weren't hiring, or was told that they weren't looking for
somepony who didn't really specialize in anything--Canterlot
being the high and mighty society it was. Because that society
was so expensive as well, Star's funds were quickly drained,
leaving her with the sobering conclusion that she wouldn't
actually be able to make her rent on the apartment. With her
leaving most everything she had in Los Pegasus behind, that
meant Star was now left with nothing here. Just a few meager
bits left to allow her to eat for a few more days.
It was because of this that she eventually made her way back to
Tech Tock, her tail metaphorically between her legs. Her worries
showed on her face as she stepped through the doorway leading
into Haywire's shop, and she looked exhausted, as if she'd
recently gone through some kind of draining experience--the work
of a panic attack she'd had when the emotional stress had proven
too much for her. Knowing the green pony responsible for the
shop would show up soon now that she'd walked inside, Star
flopped down near the entrance and glanced around, saying in an
almost defeated tone, "Haywire, do you have a few minutes to
talk? I need to ask you something."

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Hay's ears dropped some as Star declined his offer. Yeah, that's
pretty much what he'd been expecting to have happen. Star needed
a real job, not to waste her time helping him to clean up his
workshop for some spare change he was keeping in a jar. She was
accurate in her assumption that it wasn't cheap to purchase the
necessary bits and pieces of this and that required to mish mash
together into stuff and things he can then show off and play
with, the stallion always being stuck with reusing whatever
parts and junk he'd already acquired or stripped off of old
failed inventions to repurpose into new machines. He couldn't
even remember the last time he'd actually bought a nice new
tool, part or piece of equipment for his work...
His ears perked up a bit when she said she was still interested
in visiting him on occasion though, his grin returning but not
quite having the same shine as it usually did. Even without the
blinding glare bouncing off of his pearly whites, Haywire still
had a kind of springy look about him as the idea of having Star
swing by for another visit made him feel all giddy and excited.
"Okay, well, if you're sure." Hay said, nodding his head a few
times and forcing Bubo to flap his wings to keep his balance,
the inventor lowering his head some when the mare came closer to
nuzzle Bubo and giving a small giggle when the mechanical bird
responded with a few tweets and another shy retreat behind one
of his wings. "It was all my wonderful pleasure to show you
around, Star! It's, like, one of my favorite things to do, so I
should really be thanking you for coming by and taking a look! I
look forward to you visiting again. Maybe next time ill have
something extra new and flashy to show you!" He enthusiastically
hoped as he followed the mare over towards the entrance of his
shop, him giving her a wave of his own as she left, Bubo -
having finished hiding - extending a wing out in his own
farewell gesture as well, then hopping down onto his creator's
shoulder to give him a nuzzle, happy to see him upbeat again and
enjoying the return nuzzle that Haywire gave before they both
turned hooves to get back to their work.
       ---
When Star would approach the workshop's front entrance, and
whether shed notice it or not in her current state, a small
cutout of a familiar smiling, giggled and smiling face about
twice the circumference of her hoof would have sprung upwards
from its hiding spot behind a square box near where the other
Tech Tock welcoming doohickeys had been set up before, it then
swaying left and right in a sproingy fashion as the spring it
was attached to lazily worked out its tension. The box had a
length of glass across its front allowing a view of what was
inside, the contents being a display of flipping cards that
eventually spelled out "Welcome!" the the accompanying sound of
a few small bells being rung inside.
Inside the workshop, Star's call would go unanswered for a few
seconds before eventually the sound of some clanging was
heard... Coming from a large pipe above her head that was
connected to an oddly shaped and large container of some sort,
the object appearing similar to two large spheres, both of which
probably spacey enough inside to accommodate a full grown
stallion, stacked vertically and leading into a choke at the top
similar to that of a bottle. The earlier mentioned pipe, as was
mentioned earlier, was fastened tightly onto this choke, and the
clanging coming from inside of it only grew louder as it moved
from the machine, over to almost above Star's head where it led
to a round grate that, after a few more flange, swung open on a
       hinge.
"Hi, Star!" Haywire finally replied, the little green stallion
popping out of the end pf the pipe and seemingly leaning out of
it... even though he was upside down and having to almost look
directly up - or down as it was for the rest of us - to see the
visiting mare. Gravity was apparently on break for a few seconds
during the stallion's appearance as he just kinda hung there
without seeming to care all that much about what was and wasn't
possible. It didn't take long however for gravity to remember
that whole "law" business that so many ponies often tried to
break through magic, and Haywire soon found himself slipping and
then - despite his best efforts to keep his grip on the smooth
metal inside of the pipe with his... hooves - falling head first
into a pile of discarded junk directly beneath him and next to
Star. Apparently this was a perfectly viable cushion for the
pony however as, after managing to somehow plunge into and
become buried under the pile, Haywire's head soon popped up
again, this time upwards and out of the metal refuse as he
shined his usual grin to Star and didn't bother climbing all the
way out of the junk, his head remaining the only thing exposed
       for now.
His grin weakened when he saw how Star looked however, the tone
of her voice having not quite registered with him when he'd been
inside the pipe but the obvious stress she must have gone
through recently to look the way she did actually managing to
pull his smile down into a concerned frown.
"Star, are you okay? You look tired..." Just as Hay finished his
short pointing out of the obvious a rattling noise could be
heard from the pipe above, this time it being the sound of
Bubo's arrival, though his was even less gentle then Haywire's
as the mechanical bird, locked up just as he'd been back in the
park, was almost jettisoned out of the open vent before crashing
head first next to Haywire, the bird now sharing the pile with
his creator as he, being in his current conditioned, just stayed
submerged beneath the junk for now. Haywire, knowing Bubo was
fine, kept his attention on his visitor.

Knowing it would probably take a few minutes for Haywire to dig
himself out of whatever pile he'd burrowed into, Star laid in
place with her gaze locked onto the floorboards below her, legs
splayed out to the side and her head off of the floor. Once she
heard the clanging from above her, she lifted her gaze in
question to the round grate the sounds lead to, a brow lowered
slightly in confusion. When the grate popped open and Haywire
stuck his head out, Star gave a weak nod in response to him,
only to flinch slightly when he fell onto the pile below him...
followed by him sinking into the pile of metal junk as if it was
a liquid, rather than a mass of solids. Somehow. It reminded her
of a story book she'd read once where a greedy duck dove into a
pool of gold coins, despite the fact that he should've in
reality come into contact with the surface...
Star snapped back to the workshop when Haywire came back out of
the pile and inquired about her welfare, causing her to sigh
quietly in defeat as she turned her gaze down to the floor--only
to shoot it back up to the vent above her when more clanging
sounded, though she calmed a little bit when she realized it was
only Bubo. She watched as the bird fell into the pile before
moving her gaze to the floor again, obviously reluctant to even
be asking what she was about to. "I just wanna start off by
saying I'm sorry for asking you this, and that I wouldn't do it
if I really wasn't in a bad spot. See... I still haven't found
any place that will hire me. Despite how many applications and
interviews I've done, and despite how much charm I've tried to
use... I just haven't found anything, at least not anything that
       I was... comfortable doing.
"It's just... Well, the point is... I can't make my rent this
month. And I only have enough bits left to last me for a few
more days' worth of meals. So between the lease I'll have to
cancel and the money I'll already owe, I'm going to be in so
much debt. I'm not asking you for money--that's way too much to
ask from you. But... You're the only pony I can really turn to.
Is it possible that I'd be able to stay with you? I can make
myself useful, somehow... I just, I don't want to live out on
       the streets..."

Hay listened intently as Star explained her situation, his
expression holding the same concern as she spoke of how shed
been unable to find herself a job yet. Really? Hay had figured
shed be hired later the same day he'd met her, and still nopony
had given her a break? Odd. She was so nice and always seemed to
want to help out, so why wouldn't anypony want her around to
       work for them?
The mention of not being comfortable with what he assumed were
jobs she may have been able to snatch up otherwise confused Hay
a touch. Uncomfortable how? He did things everyday that most
ponies would probably say were uncomfortable, like having to
crawl into one of his machines to fix something waaaaaaay in the
middle. Needing to twist and contort his body to be able to
wiggle around the inner workings of his inventions just so he
can reach and either replace or fix the one little part right in
its center would probably register as a very uncomfortable job
for most other ponies. Maybe somepony wanted her to do that kind
of stuff? With how Star reacts to being dirty, Hay wouldn't be
surprised if the idea would make her uncomfortable.
Or maybe somepony wanted her to run on a giant hamster wheel to
power some kind of generator whim also needing to balance
spinning plates on her nose and paint a picture on a canvas that
was hanging loosely in front of her? Hay had the random thought
of building something like that cross his mind just out of
curiosity of how uncomfortable or difficult it would be. But
what would he call it? The... Running... Paint... Plate
spinner... A-tron... Thing... Maybe something like that would go
over well with ponies who were in college and liked to do
ridiculous stuff just because it was ridiculous...
Blegh! Shaking his head a bit so as to stop being distracted by
such ideas - like a tin can with something noisily rattling
inside - Hay's brain allowed him to catch up to the rest of what
Star had been saying, Hay having not missed anything during the
second where he'd been thinking of giant hamster wheels.
Star came here to ask him for help and already Hay was
completely on board. He'd be happy to help! The fact that he
still hadn't heard what she actually needed help with yet was
irrelevant to the little green stallion. Star came for
assistance and he'd provide it with a happy smile the whole
time, darn it! Course, the idea that he could help was something
entirely separate from his willingness to.
His ears perked up as he listened extra close to what she needed
from him, Hay then assuming he'd heard wrong and waiting a
second or so after shed asked for her to realize he'd misheard
and clarify what shed actually said. Or at least he thought he
heard wrong. He heard wrong, right? Of course he did. He must
have. Otherwise he'd have to acknowledge how somepony was
actually willing - or he supposed being forced given the
problems they were having - to actually stay in Tech Tock which
would, of course, mean he'd have to also deal with how the world
was about to end since he was pretty sure that was a sign of the
end of days. Was she being for real? Few ponies even wanted to
be near his workshop, and she was asking if he could let her
       stay there?
Hay's grin was so wide that it may have actually been capable of
splitting his head in half had he not learned to subconsciously
watch for such an absurd occurrence. Star's guarantee that she
could pull her weight and be helpful during her time in the
workshop was rather unnecessary since Hay was already one
hundred percent behind such an idea. He'd get to have a house
guest AND help a friend at the same time! Somewhere n the back
of the workshop what sounded like a party popper went off,
confetti most likely making an appearance though the colorful
bits of paper were at the moment hidden behind all the stuff and
       things littering the shop floor.
"Of course!" Hay answered, seeming to be propelled out of the
pile of junk he was in by his own excitment over the idea, Bubo
being one piece of the small shower of spare what have you that
erupted out from around Haywire during his vacating of the small
and weak holding cell made of scrap, the mechanical bird
unlocking in time to flap his wings and turn his crash into a
slightly different crash that begun with a roll and ended with
him somehow balanced on his metal claws albeit swaying from side
to side in a dizzy fashion.
"Sure you can stay! For as long as you need to! That's no
problem at all!" A growly noise came from behind the stallion -
who was now standing on top of the pile he was in as if it was a
hilltop that was only lacking the bright and glorious shine of
the sun needed to silhouette the pony so as to properly display
his elation - it originating from a certain grumps pf a machine
that was best known for spouting the occasional bellow of flame
at any passersby who happened to perform the easy act of rubbing
the machine the wrong way and incurring its petty wrath. The
sound was concurred by many a different object and bleepy bloop
machine within the shop, the idea of a pony, who would probably
always be considered a stranger to them, staying in what they
considered they're frequently contested territory in their
ongoing quest to wrestle control from their creator was
appalling! Worthy of all the harumphs and comments of a negative
disposition that machines lacking in a proper method of audible
       expression could muster!
Bubo, after shaking his head so as to remove his daze, glanced
around at the unhappy inventions that he shared hos home with,
the bird himself being of a completely different opinion towards
this temporary living arrangement, this being put on display as
he fluttered over to Star's side and landed so as to give a
welcoming series of high and happy chirps and tweets and a warm
       nuzzle.
"You can stay in my room!" Hay continued, the sounds of his
peeved and most likely now plotting machines bouncing off of his
senses and being completely ignored as he focused on Star, "I
never even use it anyway. Are you going to have to bring a bunch
of stuff here with you? I can free up some space somewhere
around here for us to put it for now. Will you need help moving
your things? Oh! Maybe I can bring some of my inventions along
to help us move it!" Another grumbling from the collection of
gadgets, doodads and examples of apparent mechanical and
scientific wizadry that could be translated as something vulgar
should one take the time to do so.
"Oh, this is gonna be fun!" Haywire added with a small bounce of
his hooves, Bubo tweeting in agreement before fluttering off to
go give the other machines the closest thing to a scolding glare
as he could manage, "do you want to take a look at the room
you'll be using now? Or jump right to moving stuff in? Or...
Hehe... Sorry. I'm not used to having guests stay with me so I'm
probably getting all super excited about it..."

For the first time in what felt like weeks, Star breathed out a
sigh of relief after Haywire agreed to let her stay in the
workshop, her body relaxing visibly as she closed her eyes. That
was at least one problem that was no longer looming overhead
like a stormcloud ready to ruin her day. That moment of
relaxation was short-lived however, as when the machine behind
Haywire growled as if in perfectly-timed protest, Star frowned
as she opened her eyes and turned her gaze to the source of the
sound. When other machines began to create the following
dissonant cacophony, she turned a worry look back to Haywire,
only to hesitate when she noticed that he didn't seem at all
fazed by what was going on. The only machine that didn't sound
like it was upset was Bubo, and as he landed next to her she
gave him a gentle pat while she, still hesitantly, glanced
around the workshop and to the various machines who'd begun to
       act up.
When Haywire finally calmed down and allowed her time to respond
to his many questions, she gave one final worried glance around
the workshop before looking back to him, her hoof nervously
scuffing the floorboards beneath her. "I don't have that much
that I'm going to be bringing over... The apartment was already
furnished--that was one of the deciding factors since I didn't
have a way to bring furniture over from Las Pegasus. So it's
really only going to be a backpack full of personal belongings.
Anyway... I guess you can show me the room... Though, out of
curiosity, where will you be sleeping?" Her questions didn't
stop there, however. Whenever she was lead into the room she'd
be staying in--and away from the noise coming from the
workshop--she'd speak up again, tone obviously conveying her
worry. "Haywire, what's going on out there? Why do I get the
feeling they're not really welcome to the idea of my staying
       here?"

"In that case we can be all done and have you moved in by
tonight!" Hay replied with enthusiasm that matched his beaming
smile perfectly, the stallion then turning and trotting off to
road the way to the bedroom he was offering Star, "We might not
even need any gadgets to carry anything either, or have to blow
our way through a wall to make enough space to bring in any big
furniture! Oh, and don't worry about me. I always just kind of
sleep wherever I am in the workshop anyway, so you using my room
won't really change anything for my sleeping habits."
A short walk, one aplenty with more disapproving grumbles from
the various machines being passed along the way, and both ponies
soon found themselves in Hay's bedroom, it being almost
impossibly clean and organized as of it had never had the
pleasure of being destroyified by any renegade constructs of
metal and science - an almost inCONCEIVABLE thought, though
anypony who'd been able to glimpse Hay's bathroom may have been
less surprised. This room, however, looked like it had just
simply never been used before. In fact, had it not been for the
efforts of a certain mechanical bird that occasionally flew in
there to do some very minor house keeping with the hopes that
its creator would actually rest inside, it wasn't impossible to
imagine a layer of dust present since everything inside seemed
forgotten. Despite the neglect, the bed was still soft, its
pillows and blankets clean and comfy while a simple desk rested
in one corner complete with an equally simple but comfortable
enough cushion. A cabinet - taller than Hay - was near the door,
and a currently closed window was allowing plenty of light
       inside.
"Here it is!" Hay announced, plopping down in the middle of the
room near the bed and sweeping a hoof as of to present the room
to the mare, "Feel free to change or do whatever you want in
here, its aaaaaall yours to do what you like with, so if you
want to, you know, move anything out or in just say so and I'll
give you a hoof with it." Moving on to Star's next question, Hay
again frowned in worry at the tone she was using and her
suspicions regarding the opinions of his inventions out in the
main room. Hay then blinked as hos brain alerted him to what she
was talking about, his earlier blinders made of excitement then
       being removed.
"Oh... Um... That's because I don't they are very welcome to
it..." He hesitantly replied, "they're just all grumps though,
so they're probably just being all touchy about another pony
being around. I think I already warned you about how they can be
a little bit grumpy towards visitors too? If not, then I should
have... Really, I don't think there's anything to actually worry
about though. They might, or well... to be honest they most
definitely will give you a hard time around here at first, but
they won't do anything more than try to scare you I think. It
shouldn't be forever either just, um... Oh! You know how some
clubs and stuff will make their new members do something silly
or be playfully teasing or something towards them until they've
'paid their dues'? It'll be like that. Except less playful and
more trying to scare you. Bubo and I have got your back though,
so it shouldn't be a problem!" Hay finished with a slightly
       nervous laugh.
