Re: A Potion a Day...

"Blew her right off of the stage? And you say this was a few
days ago? Hmm..." Chaser hummed, his hunger momentarily taking a
back seat to his thoughts, "I think I actually know something
about that... Or at least felt it. Ponies at the office were
theorizing over this sudden loud noise and weird shaking they
felt a few days ago. Most just went with assuming it was an odd
tremor or something. Hm. A speaker. Unless I'm thinking of
something else? How intense was it at ground zero? I could just
be thinking of something else that happened and be mixing them
up."

Thyme's eyebrows raise just a little, the mare surprised it had
been heard and felt even inside a nearby building. "I wasn't
there at the time, but Jazz said it was pretty painful to
everypony else." She replies, taking another sip of her cocoa.
"Clarity was the only one hurt though, and they got it working
fine eventually." She glances out the shop window, watching Vita
sitting out front for a few moments. She hopes the doctor isn't
getting too bored while she sits in here and talks with Chaser.
After a few moments, she turns back to the stallion. "How far
from the park is your office?" She asks, curious about just how
far the sound had gone.

"A few blocks or so," Chaser answered, tapping his hoof against
his case a few times, "but it was at the park you say? Huh. You
wouldn't happen to know the name of the pony the speaker
belonged to would you? Maybe where he or she got it from? I'm
curious how this thing works. Unless, of course, it was just a
mess of regular speakers all hooked up together and cranked up
to eleven. In which case that's far less interesting and more...
Stupid of them, to put it bluntly."

Thyme shakes her head. "I only saw it for a minute when I got
there to take Clarity to the hospital, but it definitely wasn't
just a bunch of speakers stuck together." She looks out the
window again, trying to recall if she'd heard the name of
whoever they belonged to. Her brow furrows as she thinks for a
few moments in silence. "His name was... Haywire; I think.
Something like that." She looks back at Chaser and takes another
drink. "Like I said, I wasn't there, so I can't say for sure."

"I see." Chaser said, him making a mental note about this then
standing up and straightening his clothes out a little with his
hoof, "Well, that's certainly something if one set could do
that. Might need to find out more about it, could be fun having
something like that at my next party." He joked before balancing
his case back into his back, "Anyway, I think I've taken up
enough if your time, and I've got a bunch more stops to make, so
I think ill go ahead and let you get back to your lunch proper.
Feel free to contact me should you have any further questions
about the Dust, I should be back before long either way to
introduce to your new garbage ponies for the contaminated waste.
I wish you luck, and a good day, Thyme. Try not to finish this
project too soon and make the other alchemists involved
jealous." Chaser said in jest, before turning to head for the
door.

Thyme nods, her horn lighting up to lift the jar of Dust from
the counter. "If I have any more questions, or make a
breakthrough, I'll be sure to contact you." She says, floating
the jar down into her hooves. She holds it for a moment in an
attempt to feel how much it might contain, her ears pointed in
Chaser's direction as she listens. She looks up as Chaser begins
to leave. "Good day Chaser, thank you for the opportunity." She
sets the jar down on a shelf beneath the counter once he leaves,
then wheels back around and out to the door. "Vita, I'm done
with business." She says after pushing the door open and rolling
out.

Vita, having been busy murdalizing her bagel with cream cheese
while the other ponies did their business, had already finished
both her coffee and her victim some time prior to when she
noticed Chaser leaving the potion shop, Vita giving him a small
wave goodbye as he left. Not long after hos departure, Thyme
came wheeling herself outside to let her know things were
settled, "Yeah," Vita replied with a smile as she stood up from
her bench and trotted back over, "I figured when I saw him go.
What was that all about? Some super secret order for a special
potion? Oh, maybe he wants you to start turning a few of your
sweeter and less powerful brews into fizzy drinks!" A small
sparkle in her eyes at the idea before they dulled out and went
back to normal, "Ah, never mind, I assume you can't talk about
it, or don't want to. Business is business is business, right?"

Thyme nods slightly, turning her eyes to the busy street with a
slight hint of nervousness for a moment. "I think he'd prefer I
didn't talk about it." She says, turning her attention back to
Vita. Fizzy drinks out of her potions? Not an idea she'd ever
heard of before. Maybe she'll look into it sometime, see if
anypony buys them. Of course that would be after she figures out
the Dust. "Are you feeling better?" She asks, putting the
thought aside for now.

"Yeah, I'm not surprised. Not that I'd even know what you're
talking about anyway. Probably some complicated alchemy mumbo
jumbo, right? You're probably trying to find a way to turn a
mare into a temporary alicorn for the purposes of film and
pranks." She giggled, the idea of having wings and then going
back to the hospital and acting like absolutely nothing is
different or out of the ordinary sounding like a fun afternoon
should the reactions of her coworkers be as entertaining as she
thought.
At Thyme's question, Vita gave a perky nod, "Yes to either thing
you might be referring to. My leg is perfectly fine now. Like I
reminded you, I'm a doctor so that wasn't a big deal. And I'm
feeling much more awake after my coffee, though a nap doesn't
sound too bad of an idea. Might head back to work soon to look
for my saddle bags and nap under my desk though. Napping sounds
nice."

A small smile momentarily crosses Thyme's face, a similar idea
to what Vita was thinking going through her own mind. "You know,
I had a customer say something similar to that just the other
day." She says. "He wanted a horn though. Maybe I should
actually try to do it?" The smile returns for a few seconds.
"Think ponies would buy it?" It fades away as Vita answers her
earlier question, and her gaze falls to the ground. Despite the
white mare being fine, she still feels bad about causing her to
sprain her leg. She knows it's not really a big deal, but... She
frowns slightly at Vita's suggestion of where she should nap.
"Don't you think you should go home for a while?" She says,
looking back up at the doctor. "It sounds like you already spent
most of yesterday there..."
