Re: A Potion a Day...

Thyme shakes her head slightly. "I don't make any myself. Not
much need with the shop just down the street." She says, turning
and rolling a little toward the window so the shop in question
is in view. There were a few ponies there, though there would
likely be more coming soon as it was almost noon. As if on cue,
her stomach gives a low grumble, reminding her of the hours it
had been since breakfast. "Maybe we can get something to eat
too. Are you hungry?" The green mare asks, turning to look at
Vita.

"Ah, right, there it is," Vita says, trotting up to the window
and looking off towards the coffee shop nearby, her then
giggling a touch at the grumbles coming from Thyme's belly, "I
knew it was nearby here somewhere. As for hungry, um..." The
blue maned mare glanced down at her tummy, waiting to see if it
would be as audible as the older mares before looking back up.
"It's not looking like it, but chances are once I start moving
around a bit I'll get my appetite back, so I wouldn't mind
grabbing a bite. You don't mind leaving the shop for a bit?"

Thyme glances down at her stomach at Vita's giggle, slightly
embarrassed that the mare had heard it. She look over at the
doctor as the white coated mare looks to her own belly to answer
her question, and nods at her. "I don't mind, it's almost time
for lunch anyway." She says, and turns to roll toward the door.
Her magic lights up as she pushes it open, flipping the sign
around to read "Closed" as she wheels outside and turns to hold
the door for Vita. She looks toward the coffee shop again as she
waits for the other mare to exit, a few more ponies having
stopped there by now, though it's still not terribly crowded.
"Don't worry about paying, I I'll handle it." She offers,
turning and giving Vita a small smile.

"Oh, no, that's okay I can..." Vita's attempt to decline Thymes
offer of paying for both of them in favor of a more fair
division of the bill was cit short as a brief glance over her
shoulder was enough for her to notice her lacking of saddle bags
with which to pull the required funds needed to pay for anything
at the present time. "... or I guess I can't then... Thanks,
Thyme, I owe you one." She expressed her gratitude as she
stepped outside past Thyme then paused to wait through a massive
yawn that advertised to the entire world how tired she still
was, "Ugh. Blegh. Excuse me," she said as she looked back to
Thyme, "say, I didn't happen to have my saddle bags on me when I
showed up, did I? Or did I forget them at the hospital again..."

Thyme nods in response to Vita's thanks. "You didn't have
anything with you." She answers. "If you want we can go check
the hospital for them after we eat." She suggests, looking
around the street. It was a bit uncomfortably crowded at the
moment, and the green mare shrinks down a little in her
wheelchair now that the two of them are out in the open. Usually
she waited for the lunch rush to be over before going to get
anything herself. She rolls across the street toward the coffee
shop as quickly as she can without leaving Vita behind.
Hopefully most will have foregone the coffee shop in favor of
more substantial meals... She slows once she approaches the
shop, looking back and hoping she hadn't been going too fast for
the tired mare and simultaneously pulling the door to the shop
open.

"Nah, that's okay," Vita declined the offer of heading back to
her place of work, "If I know me, which I feel confident I do,
my bags are probably sitting on my desk sandwiched between my
little statue of a dancing manticore and my copy of 'Sneezed to
Meet You', Aka, that paperweight I keep around. Also, I'm a big
mare, Thyme," she continued playfully, "I won't make you shut
down your shop just to follow me back to the hospital to pick up
my things." Following the wheelchair bound mare, and suddenly
finding herself as needing to hurry to keep up as she navigated
the lunch crowd, Vita picked up her pace but slowed half way to
the coffee shop as she felt one of her tired legs pull a muscle
from the sudden activity. With a small and sharp gasp followed
by a quiet series of "ow ow ow"s, Vita winced but pushed onwards
with a very light limp as she reached the door after Thyme, "I
didn't realize this was a race," she says as she gently works
the muscles in her leg to alleviate some of the annoying pain,
"I guess you win though. This calls for a celebration of
coffee."

Thyme's gaze falls to the ground, the green mare partially
hiding her face behind her mane at the sight of Vita's slight
limp. She'd been in such a rush to get out of the street she'd
left Vita behind, and apparently made her pull a muscle to keep
up. "I'm sorry..." She says lowly, not meeting Vita's eyes as
she rolls through the open door to finally get out of the
increasingly crowded street. Thankfully there weren't many
ponies inside, and Thyme sits up a little straighter, though she
still doesn't look Vita in the face as she turns to face her.
"Don't worry about cost, just get whatever you like." She says,
before going up to the counter to look over the options.

"Huh?" Vita questioned as she heard Thyme apologize, the blue
maned mare of the two following behind the other into the coffee
shop before waving off the apology, "Oh, pfft, you're worried
about this?" She asked, raising her leg with a slight wince,
"Eh. It's nothin. Just shouldn't have tried running when my
muscles were still so fatigued. Also, you seem to be forgetting
something about me." Vita's horn lit up, her magic wrapping
around the leg in question and easily working to alleviate the
pain, "I'm a doctor." She finished with a smile at Thyme before
turning to look up at and read the items this shop listed as
available. "And I'm so going so worry about the cost just to
play with you. You might totally end up in a single digit debt
to me. Oh, the horror!" She said playfully before turning to the
counter and the employee behind it, humming and trying to decide
what she wanted as her horn still worked its magic. "Um... I'll
have... the drinking salt." She said, pointing to one of the
stronger types of coffee available, the shop even naming it that
way as a kind of warning to any who would try it, "black. Also,
an onion bagel with extra extra cream cheese. Celestia help you
if you forget the extra extra portion of the extra cream
cheese!"

While Vita's assurance that the sprain wasn't a problem does
reassure Thyme a little, she still can't help feeling bad about
it, even if it was easily fixed for the doctor. She doesn't say
anything as she rolls up to the counter, though the white
unicorn's joke does earn a slight upturn to the corners of
Thyme's mouth. She moves forward as Vita completes her order,
taking a final glance a the selection. "I'll have a hot cocoa
and a plain bagel with cream cheese, no extra for me." She says,
pulling the bits she needs out of her bag and giving them to the
cashier. She turns and rolls off to the side to wait for their
orders, and her stomach gives another grumble. Soon enough the
two mares are given their orders, and Thyme moves to find an
unoccupied table. She pauses halfway there though, noticing that
several more ponies had entered the shop while they were in
line. The green mare glances around nervously, the number of
ponies in the shop starting to make her uncomfortable. She
hunches down slightly in her chair, suddenly feeling exposed.
Thyme takes a deep breath and looks over at Vita. "Would you
mind if we went back to the shop to eat?" She asks, her voice
carrying a slight waver to it.

The extra extra cream cheese wasn't quite as extra as shed been
hoping, but Vita figured that the extra provided would be enough
extra to satisfy her requiring of extra. The employee avoided
her wrath for now as the doctor took the bagel and coffee in her
magic before the portion around her leg was redirected to her
throat as she used it to keep her throat safe from the scolding
hot coffee she immediately took several gulps of, some steam
escaping her mouth as she gave a happy sigh afterwards. That
should pick her energy up a touch, she hoped. Spreading a very
generous amount of cream cheese over a section of bagel, Vita
glanced around for an empty table before hearing Thyme's idea of
just going back to her shop to eat and noticing how she was
acting. Vita had known the mare long enough to recognize that
she didn't like being in crowds, so it wasn't difficult to
figure out what the problem was when she saw how the shop was
beginning to get a little crowded. "Sure," she replied, pulling
another napkin over to herself to wrap her bagel in in
preperation for the very short trip, her taking the bite shed
readied for herself and making her way over to the door to hold
it for the other mare, "no progem. You shog ih jug a mingu awah
awywoo... Are you okay?" She asked the older pony after
swallowing her mouthful of bagel.
