Re: Tech Tock, Would You Look at the Time?

"What? You're leaving already?" Clarity pouts as Ironfire
leaves. Aww, she didn't even get to run a hoof over any of his
muscles. Oh well. "Yeah, I'm sure we'll meet again," she says,
winking at his retreating form. "Don't get mobbed by mares on
your way out." Then she walks over to the poster the stallion
had hung up before making his way out. "Huh. A traveling
storyteller, huh? Not sure why somepony like that would need a
reputation rebuilt. Unless...hm, Trixie, Trixie. That name..."
She taps her chin and sits down, swishing her tail. "...Aw,
whatever. Story isn't exactly my thing. I'm more
for...hooves-on stuff. Or acting. Maybe, though." She looks
outside to the position of the sun.
Aww, it's about time for her to be headed out. "Phooey, I've
gotta go. I'll need those saddlebags back, too." She hops
heavily over to her bags and starts taking out the contents.
Milk, caramel, paprika, bag of oats, etc. "What do you think
about that show thingie?"

"Okay, um, you sure you don't want to stick around for s quick
cup of hot coco to warm up?" Hay asked as Ironfire headed for
the door. Did he have coco? He didn't even have milk... Eh, he
probably didn't, but still he'd go check if the stallion was
desperate for something to offset the chilly embrace he'd just
escaped from. Ah well, he seemed to be done here, putting up his
posters and what not. Bubo followed the stallion to the front
door, him landing on its handle and watching the the visitor
leave with a chirp farewell.
Hay turned his attention back to Clarity and began to assist
with emptying the bags. Aww... She had to go to... So many
visitors today and now everypony was leaving... Hay frowned a
little in disappointment before thinking on her question.
"Hmm... I'm not so sure about it. I like stories, and it sounds
like it might be fun, but I've got a lot of projects I need to
catch up on around here, so I'm probably not going to go. Still,
might change my mind, who knows?" Hay glanced over at the poster
again... then noticed that a grabby arm from one of his
inventions nearby just happened to have inched closer to it
somehow when he wasn't looking.
"Before you go," he said, picking up a few of the items he'd
been gifted with the plans of transporting them to his kitchen,
extreme willpower going into resisting eating the caramel
revealed right at that moment, "how's your hoof? And you and
Barlorrin the Brave seem to be getting along. Wanna take him
with you?" He offered, nodding at the stuffed bear with another
one of his smiles.

"My hoof? Oh, it's fine. That burn stuff you had worked pretty
well. It doesn't hurt anymore," she says, giving a stamp to the
ground for emphasis then rubbing it on her other leg. "Okay,
maybe not quite all the way, but it's better. As long as I
don't run or anything it should be fine. Thanks again for your
help with that, by the way," she says, batting her eyes at him
again.
It turns into blinking when he mentions Barlorrin. Barlorrin?
Oh, right, the bear. She's still holding it. "Oh, uh...sure!
I'd love to have him join me!" she says, clutching the bear
protectively. "Thanks for that, too. It's gonna be fun, huh,
Barry?" She gives the bear a nuzzle, then pops him into the
saddlebag. "I'll come see you again, Hay. Maybe then you can
send me to space, since that party pooper blacksmith didn't want
to go. Seriously, who wouldn't?" She lifts the bags and sets
them on her back, then walks by Haywire, giving him a hug as she
does. "Later, cutie."
As she passes the snow, she stops. "Okay, this is too good an
opportunity to pass up." She takes her bags off and scoops snow
into the one that doesn't hold the bear, grinning. "If I go
fast enough, somepony's getting a snowball fight without any
ammunition. G'bye!" And then she slings them back on her back
and dashes out the door.

Well, Hay was sure as heck gonna send somepony into space one of
these days! Maybe Clarity would make a good test pilot. She
seemed to be durable enough to survive any unfortunate mishaps
during the testing phase of such a project... Nah. Hay couldn't
put her at risk like that. He couldn't bare the thought of
putting anypony other than himself at such risk, and Clarity
herself was too nice, and huggable as her embrace was telling
him, to even imagine in such a position. He returned the young
mares hug, smiling cheerily as he did so. "Bye!" Hay said,
waving farewell as she left his workshop with her new supply of
snow, Bubo chirping goodbye as she passed him at the front door,
"good luck to whoever you target with that stuff!"
Now having had his only other visitor vacate the area, Haywire
glanced around, mind wandering as he tried to decode what to do.
Obviously he felt he should put his new groceries away, but then
he remembered the caramel he'd seen earlier, the pony then
searching around for it with his eyes, slowing his chewing as
he... realized he was already eating it. Huh. Oh well. Mmmm...
Was some good caramel, Hay smiling and plopping down onto his
rump to savor the sweet treat better, him deciding to take a
break and put his new groceries away after he was finished. Bubo
fluttered over to the bag of oats that had been delivered, him
then landing next to it and beginning to peck at its contents as
he tested Clarity's earlier question of if he indeed required
nourishment. Meanwhile, the grabby arm from before continued its
slow and patient attempt to remove the poster that had been so
recently put up... Hay's briefly cracked eye shooting it a
warning that forced it to back off before he went back to his
chewing of nummy caramel.
