As Lickety applauded, Sound looked to the floor, in attempts to
hide his face slowly turning red (an impressive feat given the
deep azure it usually was). He didn't like people making a big
fuss over him. "...Ah... I-I-It's not that b-big of... a d-deal,
r-really... Just-"
That sentance wasn't really going anywhere, so the interruption
was welcome, as a second pony entered the store. Sound quickly
clambered to his feet, deciding somepony sitting on a shopfloor
wouldn't look good for business. At Lickety's introducing him,
he simply raised a hoof in a greeting wave, staying silent,
continuing to look to the floor.

"Pleasure to meet you both. The name is Ironfire. I'm just a
local blacksmith," he introduced himself, looking between the
pair, "and if you're Lickety Split, then I believe you may be
able to help me," he paused, bring out a poster to display, "I'm
helping a mare rebuild her reputation and I was hoping you'd
allow me to hang a couple of these up around the shop,"

Nodding vigorously to confirm she was indeed Lickety Split,
proprietor of the store in which they currently stood, Lickety
looked on in interest as the muscular pony in the doorway
produced a poster of some sort, her horn igniting in vibrantly
pink light, and gently taking it from Ironfire's own magical
grasp, the chubby unicorn bringing the poster up to her face to
read it carefully.
Upon finishing, Lickety beamed, and floated the poster back over
to her visitor, clear approval and interest twinkling in her
bright pink eyes, as she nodded and spoke.
"Sounds cool, Ironfire! Go ahead and hang up however many you
like, wherever you'd like!" The chubby mare spoke, voice
friendly and welcoming, the green mare clearly eager to support
this interesting event, being no small fan of old stories, of
the likes her mother used to read to her when she was younger.

Sound remained silent, as he craned his neck forward, attempting
to get a better look at the advertisement poster of which this
Ironfire colt was hoping to place in the shop. Trixie's Tales.
The event seemed interesting enough for him to want to attend,
but he wasn't about to consider missing another train. That
would involve him having to spend the night stuck in the city.
'Old Home' wasn't really an option for an overnight stay, since
they were all probably under the impression that he was on the
train right now. He didn't want to think how much of an idiot
he'd look if he had to explain he missed the train for some
performance.
Sound quietly hoped he'd have some other chance to attend. By
the looks of the poster, it was only in Canterlot for the one
night, which suggested that it was indeed a travelling show...

"Well thank you. That was certainly one of the easier requests
I've made today," he smiled, thanking the mare, "and while I'm
here, I have to ask. You wouldn't happen to have any
butterscotch, would you?" he requested, hanging one of the
posters within view of the door.

"No problem!" Lickety replied, eagerly, as the large stallion
thanked her, and began to hang posters, his follow up question
only causing the chubby green mare's grin to widen, as she
nodded eagerly, before bouncing over to a nearby display and
listing off everything that was available.
"Well.. We have: Butterscotch chunks, butterscotch chips,
butterscotch sauce/syrup, butterscotch hard candy, Aaaand
butterscotch squares!~" Lickety listed, enthusiastically,
punctuating each new butterscotch product by floating a
carefully-wrapped and preserved item of said product, onto the
shop's counter, for Ironfire's perusal and decision, as the pale
green mare hopped back over to her customary spot behind the
counter, her grin still wide and friendly.

Looking between the various treat on display, a great internal
battle raged. On the one hoof, he could eat all that himself
without packing on some weight. On the other hoof, butterscotch
was delicious. Both were excellent arguments. So he compromised.
"How much for a bag of the chunks, chips and hard candy?" he
questioned, already looking forward to the delicious treats.

Lickety giggled as she watched Ironfire fight himself over which
delicious treat to choose, the green mare smiling widely as he
made his decision, and quickly sweeping the selected goodies
into a paper bag inscribed with the store's name, which she
floated over to him in her bright pink magical aura, a friendly
grin on her face.
"Hmm.. For somepony as nice as you; putting up posters to help a
friend, combined with the fact that you're a new customer, I'd
say that your first three items are on the house, mister
Ironfire." The chubby mare offered with a grin, after a moment
of thought, clearly not the wisest when it came to free
giveaways, although she inwardly hoped that the stallion would
enjoy the treats enough to become a common customer of her
rather impressive confectionary establishment.

Ironfire gaped slightly at such a generous offer, "are you
sure?" he questioned.
'Shut up and run!' a voice was yelling in his head, which he
promptly shoved to the back of his mind and locked it away.
His magic took a hold of the offered bag of delicious candy
treats, "I'm not sure if you'd ever need my services, but I'll
certainly offer you a similar deal if you ever find the need for
it,"

"Course I'm sure, and that sounds like a nice deal! Just make
sure to drop by again when you get peckish for some more
butterscotch, mister! Or other treats too, I make a Lot of
stuff, and the stock generally changes from day-to-day, apart
from the real popular goodies." Lickety replied, still beaming
happily at the hungry stallion, sitting back in order to wave
happily at him with a foreleg, wishing him a good day and
success on his poster-distributing mission.
