As Lickety watched the young stallion's gaze shift from the
floor to the bag of confectionary at his hooves, and then heard
his mildly reassuring words, her frown was replaced by a tiny
smile, glad that she hadn't severely hurt this poor stallion
with her stupid joke, as she shifted a little closer, bright
       pink eyes friendly, and apologetic.
"Oh.. Okay. Sorry for scaring you anyways, was really silly of
me.." The chubby mare replied, apologetically, one hoof scraping
the ground apologetically, before his question caused her smile
       to widen just a little.
"For those? Hmm.. no charge. Think of it as an apology gift,
Mister..?" Lickety commented, after a moment of thought,
gesturing with a hoof towards the bag of lollies that he held,
before smiling a little more widely, and extending the soft
green hoof to him in greeting. She was clearly happy to meet
somepony new, even if it wasn't under the best of circumstances.

Sound's head, still slightly craned downward, raised a little at
the mention of 'no charge'. This kind mare didn't have to do
that, just because she shook him up a little. But rather than
seem rude and pay all the same, Sound Wrecker remained quiet.
Upon noticing that this mare had moved slightly closer to him,
he himself slowly shifted backward, deciding where she was was
close enough. At the offer of her hoof, he took it in his with a
hesitant shake, and introduced himself. "...U-Uhh- I-I... I-It's
       S-Sound... Sound W-Wrecker... a-and I presume th-that you are
M-Miss 'Lickety'...?" Quickly taking his hoof back from the
presumed Miss Split, he pointed to a second 'Lickety's Sweets &
Treats' sign hanging above the counter, where she had been
sleeping at the time of Sound's arrival.

Noting Sound Wrecker's retreat as she advanced, Lickety looked a
little puzzled, but didn't comment, only taking his hoof and
shaking it vigorously, a wide grin on her face as she released
       him and nodded happily.
"Yep! That's me: Lickety Split, owner of Lickety Split's Sweet
and Treats! Nice to meet you, Sound!" Lickety replied,
pirouetting on the spot with hooves wide, as if to encompass all
of the shop that surrounded them, and demonstrate her ownership.
Giggling a little after the quick spin that left her just a tad
dizzy, Lickety smiled at the blue stallion, and spoke, tilting
       her head in curiosity.
"So... Anything else I can do for you, Sound Wrecker?" She
queried, smiling curiously, eager to see if the stallion wanted
to chat, or had places to be.

Sound Wrecker's head tilted to the side to mirror Lickety's,
almost as an act of mimicry. It wasn't uncommon for him to copy
the movements of whomever he spoke with. Miss Split was quite
the... enthusiastic pony. Energetic, too. Jumping from the
counter earlier, nearly tearing his front leg off in that
hoofshake, and then twirling around on the spot and tumbling to
the floor in a dizzy giggling fit. Sound couldn't help but
smirk, thinking perhaps she'd been helping herself to too much
candy. But then, if you worked in a place like this, it would
just be a crime not to.
       "...U-Uhm... W-Well, I can't think of a-anything else... I
s-suppose I should... g-go wait for my t-train now... It should
b-be at the s-station in the n-next..." A quick glance back to
the clock, "...F-Forty m-m-minutes...? Aww..." Maybe he could do
another lap or two of the town square. Sound didn't feel right
killing the time by hanging around in a shop, especially after
       he'd already made a purchase.

Noticing Sound Wrecker mimic the tilting of her head, Lickety
giggled a little, tilting her head over to the other side as if
to make sure he was definitely mimicking her movements, and it
hadn't been an accident, whether or not it was a conscious
       action.
"Aww.. Forty minutes? Now that's no fun at all.. " Lickety
replied, frowning a little, clearly upset by the thought of
anyone left alone and bored at a train station, for a whole
       forty minutes.
"Hmm.. How about we just talk for a bit, see if we can't make
time fly just a little faster?" Lickety asked, smiling warmly at
her customer, as she moved to lean casually against a nearby
gumball machine, which, after a moment's thought, she quickly
purchased a gumball from, and began to chew while she waited for
       his response.

       "O-Oh... Well, I d-don't want to... b-be any trouble, M-Miss
Split..." Sound Wrecker's head tilted back to being upright, his
eyes on the candy machine of which Lickety leaned on, "...But
       i-if you're a-alright with... w-with me staying, then I...
g-guess it could help p-pass the time..."
A few seconds of silence, as Sound looked around the store,
trying to find or think of a topic before giving up, and he
spoke again. "...U-Uhh... W-What'd be something... g-good to
talk about...?" His head slowly sunk down once more. If it
wasn't obvious within the first ten seconds of these two knowing
each other, the art of conversation was something that was
practically completely lost on the poor colt...

Still chewing vigorously at the gumball in her mouth, Lickety
paused to think for a moment, before grinning and replying to
his question eagerly, at the same time nodding to acknowledge
that she was okay with him staying for a little while longer.
"What are ya in Canterlot for, Wrecker? And where are ya headed
after you head off?" The chubby mare questioned, smiling warmly
at the slightly awkward young stallion, her chewing unceasing as
she worked away at the gumball in her mouth, still leaning up
against the machine that had dispensed it.

Deciding to take a seat on the floor rather than simply stand
awkwardly in the middle of the room, Sound looked to the candy
machine of which Lickety leaned on. "W-Well, until I get this
       t-train, I... I-I guess you could s-say I still l-live... here,
       with my f-family.. I'm m-moving, though... the t-train I'm
       waiting on's h-headed to Ponyville..."

Having visited several stores already, Ironfire approached the
last store on his list, making one check of his bit pouch as he
       stepped within.
"Good afternoon," he greated the pair as the door closed behind
himself, "I hope I'm not interrupting," he looked between the
pair, evidently in the middle of a conversation and not wishing
       to be rude.

If it were even possible, Lickety leaned back against the
gumball machine even more casually, as Wrecker took a seat on
the floor, the green mare smiling widely at him as he spoke up,
thinking for a moment before she replied, tone congratulatory.
"Hehey! Moving out of home, huh? Seems like something to
celebrate! Even though it can be tricky without your family, and
sometimes a little lonely, independence is a load of fun, and
I'm sure you'll have a great time in Ponyville!" Lickety spoke
up, giving the blue stallion a little ovation with her
forehooves, as she stood up to applaud and leaned back against
       the gumball machine for support.
Hearing the jingle-jangle of the bell above her shop's entrance,
Lickety's grin grew even wider, and with a surprisingly athletic
bound, the chubby mare cantered towards the counter and vaulted
over it, taking her customary spot behind the counter just in
time to greet the new arrival with an enthusiastic wave and
       eager smile.
"Hiya, and welcome to Lickety Split's Sweets and Treats!" The
green mare greeted, before she realized that her sudden switch
in attention might have been a little rude to Wrecker, and she
glanced in his direction, gesturing with a hoof for him to come
and say hi to the new arrival, and join the conversation.
"I'm Lickety Split, and this is Sound Wrecker, who might you be,
mister? And what can I do for ya?" The young mare asked,
politely, leaning across the counter to offer a hoof to the
muscular blacksmith, her voice eager and friendly.
