Heavy Hurry
By: Brash Date: January 29, 2014, 3:00 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Brash had considered venturing outside a waste of time, she had
her books, her project, her father, everything that was needed.
Inevitably one of these things became lost and wishes were left
unfulfilled.
Opening the front door to her small cozy home, Brash scowled at
the sun. There was no time to waste worrying about it though and
it'd be too dark at night anyhow. Brash heads back in, bringing
out boards, nails, a hammer, and many of her belongings through
many trips. Her small body and poor strength made it difficult
but through a long and noisy process she constructs a wooden
crate, nearly everything she owns within and a cube standing at
about eight feet tall, complete with many bent nails sticking
out.
Then back inside, loud clashes of metal emanate from the
building and she eventually rolls out a large brown rucksack,
pieces of metal clanking within. She pulls and pushes the
rucksack in the direction of the train station, however she
exhausted much of her stamina getting the bag out of her house.
Uncaring of this factor she continues by shifting the pieces of
metal inside the bag to very slowly roll it, this method would
take days or weeks to get to the train station as well as
creating a lot of noise throughout the streets.
Yet the last thing she seems willing to do is seek help.

Ryo happily trotted down the streets of Canterlot. She could
finally leave this 'dazzling' community behind and move to
somewhere where it's more peaceful. Her movement had hint of
some pony dance style, but she couldn't name what dance it was,
she didn't have time to learn how to dance. She produced a bag
of bits from her saddlebag and did a quick count on her funds.
"One-seventy-nine, one-eighty, one-eighty-one, one hundred and
eighty two bits... Train ticket cost at least ten bits... I
still need to get food once i'm there... And..." Ryo spoke to
herself, her voice turning into mumbling mess as she listed
things that would cost her bits.
Ryo's train of thought was derailed however, when she heard a
horrifying ruckus coming from the same direction she was going.
Ryo spotted a grey filly rolling a very heavy looking bag of...
Something, down the road. Having learned that in Canterlot it's
basically everypony for themselves, Ryo first though about
passing by, pretending she would not see the pony who was
clearly in desperate need of help, but she decided otherwise.
Ryo trotted next to Brash and slowed her pace to match Brash's.
With a hint of uncertainty in her voice, Ryo asked.
"Do you need help with that?"

For a moment Brash ignored the unicorn, surely nopony would
offer her help, and even then she wouldn't accept. It was a
miracle Brash had even heard her over the ruckus she was making
and upon realizing the unicorn was addressing her she stops and
gives Ryo a questioning look, having just gotten a piece of
metal up and over all the other pieces within the bag.
Brash circles the bag, then prods it to feel for the next piece,
milling over her response, "Unfortunately for you, unicorn, I
can't have any of your dumb magic around my bag. So you won't
have the pleasure of helping me today."
Brash suddenly finds there's no small piece that isn't jammed
under something and her stamina is at its limit, she pushes at
the bag in vain, paying no more attention to Ryo.

Ryo rolled her eyes at Brash's response. "Should have kept my
mouth shut and walk by" She though, looking at the filly's vain
attempt to move the bag. Considering her options to either leave
the stubborn filly there alone with her heavy burden, or offer
her help again. She chose to offer her help to Brash once more.
"Just because i'm a unicorn doesn't necessarily mean that i'm
only capable to... cast 'dumb' magic."
"Where are you taking this... Stuff? Surely you could have used
a wagon or something similar." Ryo said. She raised her hoof few
times to say something, but almost immediately lowered it back
to the ground. Instead of offering her help to Brash, Ryo just
stood there, waiting for the filly to realize that she couldn't
get this mysterious bag to move alone.

Brash turns to Ryo, now somewhat offended, "So you think that I
was dumb enough to try and move this thing without a cart? News
for you, unicorn, I don't own a cart, and I don't have the time
to go buying one either!" She barks, bucking the bag, then
circling it.
"Now unless you have any other brilliant ideas, I have a train
for Ponyville to catch." She says daintily with her snout turned
up. She then bites down on the bag and pulls, which still bore
no results in moving it.

"Yes." Ryo blurted out immediately when Brash questioned if she
thought that the filly was dumb. "No, i mean... You could have
borrowed one... Maybe...?" Ryo hoped that Brash didn't hear her
just insult the filly.
Her ears perked up when Brash mentioned Ponyville. Trying to
hide her insult by changing the subject of their conversation,
Ryo moved next to the bag and placed her hoof on it, implying
that she would help Brash to push the bag to the station. "So...
Why are you going to Ponyville?"

Brash ignores most of Ryo's words in her rush towards the
station, which involved no progress. Finally letting up when
she's asked a question, "It's none of your business ya yokel!"
Then reaching her head back towards the bag she's suddenly hit
with fatigue and instead slumps over and rolls onto her back.
Then closing her eyes, "I just... need to rest." She seemed to
have no issue with napping on the road.

"Yokel? Why you-... H-Hey! Are you okay?" Ryo panicked shortly
when she saw Brash slumping down on the ground, but was relieved
when Brash said that she simply needed some rest. "I thought you
had a train to catch, dummy" Ryo didn't like name calling, but
technically Brash had started it.
Realizing that Brash was already sleeping, Ryo walked next to
her and Poked Brash's side. "Hey. Are you... sleeeping..." Ryo
looked at the bag Brash has pulled in the middle of the street.
Unsure what she should do now that Brash was sleeping and her
belongings laid there on the street. "Should i go... Or look
after that bag until she wakes up..." She debated silently. It
wasn't really her headache what happened to that bag, but if it
got stolen after she left, that filly would surely blame her for
stealing it.

Upon being poked Brash releases a string of undecipherable
grumbles and momentarily flails her hooves in Ryo's direction.
She was too tired at this point to really care about her
situation so she rolls onto her side away from Ryo.

"Great... Just great. What do i do now...?" Ryo looked around to
see if there were any other ponies there. After confirming that
the route was clear she slowly stepped away from Brash,
intending to continue to her original destination, but after a
short while, Ryo returned to where Brash was sleeping,
frustrated. "Uuuh... I can't leave her here alone. She's just a
filly. Maybe her parents are nearby." Ryo trotted back and forth
in a small area around where Brash was napping, trying to spot
somepony who was possibly looking for a lost filly.
