Gumi smiled up at him as he sat down, glad that he was sitting
with her and not flirting with that insolent naga, Takenski.
Though, of course, Razor flirted with most men in the Circus and
had slept with a few of them.
Razor happily sat down and asked, "So how did you come to know
about he Circus? We don't exactly hand out flyers."

"we, er..." Parker tried, but couldn't find the words.
"We heard the horror stories from nearby. We thought we'd come
and investigate." Onyx said for him, the sense of power in his
voice overwhelming.

Razor smiled wider, "It seems we have a need to round up another
audience, right, Gumi?"
Gumi chuckled, "Of course, Father. Wouldn't want the feds
finding the bodies."

said quietly.
Parker chuckled, "True that. No one around that we found after
that seemed to have any idea."

Razor nodded, "I see. That's good." he said and then took a bite
out of the stew.
"Aunt Eldy outdid herself today." Gumi said.
"I was literally jut about to say that, doll."

"You're a blood-drinker, aren't you, Onyx?" Razor asked,
uncorking the flask Aunt Eldy gave him and taking a swig.
Gumi glared at him, "Father, what has Gumi told you about asking
questions of that kind?"
"Sorry, sorry. The question was not meant to offend."
