"I'll eat damn near anything." Parker said, and smiled as he
came out of the tent.
Onyx didn't smile, but just quietly said, "I don't eat much, but
I will join you."

The tent was nearly packed with people, some looked like freaks,
others appeared completely normal, like the elderly cook handing
out bowls of what appeared to be beef stew and a few other
dishes.
Straight Razor walked to the end of the line, which wasn't that
long.
Gumi was a few people in front of him.

Gumi was soon at the front of the line. "Stew for Gumi, please."
she said.
Aunt Eldy handed her some stew with a smile, "Here you go, dear.
Hope you enjoy it."
Gumi nodded brightly with a wide smile and went off, she scanned
the crowd for someone interesting to sit with.
Then it was Razor's turn, "Hello you beautiful woman you! I'll
take some stew." he said, then leaned forward and asked, "You
got the special stuff?"
Aunt Eldy laughed, "Of course I do, you flatterer! You're going
to break a man's heart one day." she said, handing him a bowl of
stew and a small flask of what appeared to be wine.
"I'll try not." Razor replied with a wink.

Onyx watched the undulating crowd, hearing damn near everything.

Gumi made her way over to Onyx, he seemed a mysterious boy and
she could smell something different about him. That and she was
naturally curious. When she stood across the table from him she
stopped, "Mind if Gumi sits with you?" she asked.
Aunt Eldy gave him some stew, "Of course, dear! Hope you have
fun here."

"Thank you, I'm sure I will," Parker said before walking swiftly
off.
"Not at all," Onyx said, meeting her eyes as his quiet voice
seemed to surround the whole tent.
