Tohri shivers at the memory but tries to hide her worry from
Nightshade with a smile. She thinks about his question and asks
herself that. She remembers her Dad and the other teaching her
and what they always said. Finally she knows how to answer that
question.
Tohri: With you by my side, I can do anything. I just know with
you helping me I'll be able to learn to control the power better
and to unleash it properly.

Nightshade notices her shiver, and holds her closer.
Nightshade: Hey. It's over now, don't worry.
Nightshade smiles.
Nightshade: I'm glad you can learn to control it. I always knew
you could. I believe in you.
Nightshade smiles at her and looks her in the eyes.

Realises that hiding is not going to solve anything. He returns
to his normal colour, after going avatar blue, hellboy red and
albino. Slowly walks out, as if trying to find them
"Hey NightShade... Tohri.. Was searching for you all. Hope I
didn't interfere or anything.. "

Tohri looks back into Nightshade's eyes and smiles sweetly.
Tohri: I know you do and that's what helps me keep trying. It's
frustrating and the lessons that Dad sent me to work on it are
not easy. I've burnt a few innocent candles and started a leaf
fire already. But the cool thing was that I figured out how to
control that leaf fire once it started and was able to put it
out. I was about to give up but then I thought of you.
Tohri is slightly startled when Evo speaks but manages to keep
her powers under control. She can't help but smile proudly about
that because just a month ago she'd have accidentally caused a
fire in this situation. She turns and looks at Evo.
Tohri: Oh hello there Evo. Nightshade and I were just discussing
my lessons and my work with me learning to control my power.

Nightshade: So I'm what spurred you into continuing your
training? How sweet.
Nightshade grins.
Nightshade: Really though. I'm glad you're gaining more control
of it. The more control you gain, the better you are in
combat...I'm proud of you, and I believe in you when it comes to
controlling it completely.
Nightshade smiles at her when he sees that she didn't start a
fire when Evo appeared. He turns and looks at Evo.
Nightshade: Don't worry, Evo. Not like we were in the middle of
kissing or something. It's fine. Like she said, we were just
discussing her control over her powers, and I'm proud of how far
she's come. It's like my little fireball's growing up.
Nightshade grins.

Tohri giggles happily. She loves when Nightshade calls her his
little Fireball. She beams with pride when he says how proud he
is of her. Other than her Dad, she's never had someone in her
life who's opinion matter so much to her. She'd do just about
anything to please Nightshade.
Tohri: I'm going to do my best like always because I want to
make you proud. Also because I know that it could be a matter of
life and death and not just for me. I need to be able to have
control of my powers in a battle or I could lose you again. I'm
not letting that happen...not ever!
Tohri gets a far away look on her face as she remembers the last
time they were separated...she still hasn't told anyone what
happened to her those first few montsh... just the thought of it
makes her shiver unknowingly. At least being with Nightshade
means that she doesn't have to have those horrid nightmares
anymore.

talking. She tries to hide her innocence and slowly walks
towards them.

Nightshade smiles at her.
Nightshade: Aw, you're doing it to impress me. And yeah, you
need to have control of it. I'm glad you've gotten this far,
though. It doesn't matter to me if you make it all of the way.
I'm just proud and happy of how far you've already come. And
don't worry...you're not losing me ever. That was a one time
thing, I promise. Because I'm never going to let it happen
again.
Nightshade notices her shiver again.
Nightshade: Memory again?
Nightshade says it discreetly so that she doesn't shiver from
the direct association, but still gets what he's saying. He
takes her hand in his, and smiles at her reassuringly.
Nightshade: Whatever happened, it's over now. Don't worry. I'm
not going to let anything happen to you.
Nightshade looks at Evo.
Nightshade: Yeah, she's something, isn't she? Remarkable.
Amazing. Wonderful.
Nightshade smiles at Tohri. He hears the quiet crunching of the
leaves and turns around to see a woman standing there.
Nightshade: Who's this?

Tohri can't help but smile back at Nightshade and feels
comforted. She always feels safe with him and that's something
that she really likes. She hates feeling like she's in danger
all the time. She's always been so trusting and Nightshade keeps
her safe from her own naiveness. She's thinking about everything
and is about to greet the girl who walked up when suddenly she
gets a lost look in her eyes and grabs her head. She appears to
be in pain but trying to fight it. After a couple minutes of it,
she loses consciousness and falls... It seems someone or
something was trying to use mental powers on her and she used
all her strength to block them.
